Her range of packages have something that can work for most anyone seeking this sort of service. Can't recommend her enough! I first did a pair of color analysis sessions with my mom as a Mother's Day gift. I got the mini and she got the full analysis. We both appreciated Elizabeth's extensive expertise and her ability to balance the precise understanding of color theory and analysis with her sense of how personality shapes what colors best express you. The mini analysis definitely made me curious to learn more, so when I came back with a friend for her birthday, I upgraded to the full analysis. She honed in on the details of my features and how to prioritize among them in assessing my color choices. I got an answer I wouldn't have been able to figure out on my own! My friend got the color + body bundle and this went even more in depth with attention to things like patterns, contrast, silhouettes, etc. Can't recommend her enough!

So, the week before my wedding I reached out to them on Instagram. They messaged me back the next day & I was able to tell them what I was looking for. (BTW I got married in January, so it was not the summer wedding season.) I was able to order a round acrylic sign & custom Polaroid frame which both turned out beautifully in a short turnover time. Susan even sent me rendering of both pieces with different font combinations. This was super cool and helpful as a customer. They went above and beyond my expectations for contacting them at the very last minute. Again, keep in mind that these vendors are busy year-round so I definitely consider myself lucky to have had their services. I DO NOT recommend doing what I did and contacting them late. I'm just sharing my own personal wedding experience & what happened in my situation. In fact, I hear that they are starting to get booked for the summer weddings!

Picturesque specializes in laser cut outs so name cards, signages, cake toppers, ornaments, etc. You can choose either wood or acrylic and choice of fonts. I reached out to Susan for a super last minute bridal shower gift after perusing through her website. I chose a BRIDE and GROOM geometric place setting and a customized ornament with my friends names and wedding date. I had less than a week before the shower and she delivered - all neatly packaged, ready to go! She showed me the design before she cut them to make sure it was perfect. I loved my friend's gift so much that I had my own wedding cake topper made soon after! It blew my mind how great it looked. Dare I say I look forward to the cakes' decor more than the actual cake?! Shame on me. Ok yes, Picturesque was a tad pricier than Etsy but the turnaround time and speedy responses more than made up for the cost. Susan was meticulous and very easy to work with. Plus, you are supporting local! 10/10 will recommend Picturesque if you're looking to make a party uniquely yours.

Wonderful having a genuine conversation! This location doesn't provide alterations. She highly recommended an alteration shop in Kahala that's open on the weekends. Good bye to these shops that are long gone and I miss their customer service for various occasions - Party Dress By Claudette on Pi'ikoi St, David's Bridal in Pearl City, BCBG Maxazria in Waikele. I searched high and low and asked employees at Nordstrom Rack in Kakaako, Nordstrom in Ala Moana, Macy's in Ala Moana and Pearlridge, Uniqlo in Ala Moana, Zara in Ala Moana, Saks Off 5th, Old Navy, Banana Republic in Waikele, Ross Dress for Less in Kahala with zero results. These are my reasons that I prefer to shop for gowns in person. Petite size needs some type of alteration(s) with common areas of adjustments in the length, shoulders, and so forth. She helped me select a few formal gowns while keeping in mind type of event and color(s). There's only one gown I found appealing that's befitting for my role. It was 50% off plus $9 extra off regular price. All sales and discounts final.

Her clothing lines…read moreincorporate vintage fabrics into contemporary designs that are wearable and relevant in today's World. The reason that I went into her boutique was because I needed some alterations done on two pieces that I wanted to wear for a special occasion during an upcoming Thanksgiving trip to the Mainland. Anne Namba's designs draws me in because I feel that I can "relate" to the styles. The way the garments are cut gives me a feeling of simple contemporary elegance. I'm not tall nor thin nor young in age but her styles can be tailored to fit (ALL women) so I've not felt intimidated into thinking that I should look like a model. Even the vintage fabrics are meticulously put together that you can accessorize to dress up or down. There's a line of EuroAsian-inspired printed silk if you're not into vintage kimono or obi based clothes. The clothing here can be custom designed or fitted for men and women. Before stepping foot into the boutique, I called and spoke to one of Anne's staff, Mary. I wanted to make sure that I could just drop by to get my silk duster fit and to replace the elastic in a pair of silk pants. Her voice effused friendliness and warmth over the phone. I brought in my pieces, she fit (measured) my garment, gave me an estimate for alteration and said their seamstresses would do their best to get the items done within 7 days. I asked her for home silk care and cleaning tips as I had a garment that had been badly "age or rust" spotted. While waiting for the alterations, I tried Mary's recommendations. Within minutes, my damaged garment was sparkling clean! Oh boy, I just had to tell Mary about the success of her tip! To my surprise, my alterations were completed within 4 days (including a weekend) so at first chance, I rushed back to the boutique. We chatted for a few minutes and I got a couple of more tips from her. My eyes danced with glee just looking around at all the new styles, fabrics and colors. I even zeroed in on an outfit that I'd love to have but, my retired person conscious got the better of me. I would encourage men and women of all ages to visit this boutique...you will be amazed by the quality, beauty and wearability of the garments. You'll support a local designer whose one-of-a-kind designs are classic and timeless. You'll also be treated to personable, non-intimidating, knowledgeable and helpful staff...Mary, this is about YOU.
