I went in wanting tapioca for Boba tea. I found what I wanted for a much better price than on Amazon. Yay for local stores!

This place is a very nice affordable way to find ingredients that are kind of absurd in Walmart and Meijer, the staff are nice, and they have a wide variety of different foods here. The store also has a bit more of a humble feel as well, which may turn some off but I personally like it, feels very Mom & Pop. read more

I am very impressed with this asian market. For several reasons. The prices are very competitive, honestly I can get better pricing than in Chicago for majority of the products. Of course you will see a few random items here and there that are more expensive, but those are outliers. The store clerks are pretty good, no issues. I would 't say this place is massive, but it definitely is large for something in the middle of Illinois. They do have fresh produce(asian fruits and vegetables) and live fish at the back. Kung fu teas, hong kong noodles, frozen dim sums are all available here. The reason this rating is not 5 stars is that up in the front there are baked goods and some egg tarts have mold on them. They must have been sitting there for quite some time, in this blazing midwestern summer, they are bound to go bad if mot refrigerated. But I understand. Customers don't want their baked goods refrigerated they want them fresh. This is something the store owner and management need to figure out as far as what to stock, priorities and they will learn as the business grows. Picadilly liquor is attached to the market it's on the left if you are facing the store. Be careful exiting the market, prospect is a busy street and you are coming down at a slight hill since the store is elevated. read more

My family and I love this Asian Supermarket. It is the cheapest Asian market in the area. They have a lot of options and the service is so-so. No restrooms in here though. Fresh International Market is probably the biggest, nicest Asian market in Champaign-Urbana but this is probably the cheapest. Out of the 6 Asian markets, this is my go-to when we need certain Asian items. Most of the stores are too small or just have Korean food. read more

This Asian grocery store is now my go to place to buy Asian products. The prices are competitively cheaper than the other Asian stores in the area, and is clean and easy to access. The store offers a variety of goods that may not even be available anywhere else! I highly recommend this market to anyone who shops for Asian foods and products. The only downside is the the entrance into the store may convey a bit of a difficulty. It is located right in front of an extremely busy street, so you have to be cautious when turning into the parking lot. Despite that, this place is an absolute gem for Champaign. read more

worker treated customer real bad, lot of food in the can expired over a year. eggs stink because very old. pricing is higher than some where else. never provide a receipt when checkout. not sure why public hasn't involved to inspect their store. read more

Have a large selection, definitely is worth the 2 hour trip from where I am. I can easily get everything I need from there. Love the fresh vegetables and all the Asian drinks selection. Anywhere from milk tea to chrysanthemum tea. read more

I went there last month and was impressed with the selections they have. However, when I went back the second time along with my 5-year-old son, the fruits were not as fresh, and I was insulted by the store-owner. She started by commenting on how light-skinned my son was and how dark I was (my husband is Caucasian and I'm Asian), how my son couldn't look like me because of my skin, and how my kids look better than me because they look like my husband (who has never been to the store), and how my daughter is better looking than my son because she looks more like my husband. I'm not sure I would go back to support such a racist store. It's kinda ridiculous given that the store owners are Asians themselves. I've been shopping at Lee's Oriental all these years and I think I would rather go back there. read more

The produce is not fresh, all the pepper in the refrigerator section has like mold or fungus. Price wise is not that cheap compare to other market exp: Far East Market on 5th street. The coconut price is way too overprice $2.49 each, you can get a whole box of it "9 total" from market in St. Louis for $15. I know it's a bit farther drive but worth it if you're gonna spend like $300 per month on food why not spend that same amount and get more rather than less. I asked the staff if I could use the restroom and they said no..How upsetting...even a place like 7/11 or a corner market has a bathroom for their customer. I understand this place just recently opened (or took over previous Asian store), so it may be a bit early to give a fair review. There is a lot of space in this establishment but right now it is only about 75% stocked. Their stock towards Chinese, but there are Japanese and Korean items as well. They carry fresh produce, frozen and fresh meat, and even had a live lobster tank. The prices are very reasonable, in fact, a mabo tofu mix that I buy regularly was priced 30% less than any other local store, and even lower than what I used to pay in Chicago. As mentioned, I think they are still getting settled in, but nice to have another Asian grocery store to shop at in the area. read more

Cheaper than the other places in Chambana, A LOT more variety, and having tanks in the back ensures fresh seafoody goodness. Would like the bakery area to be more stocked, but maybe I visited during an off hour. Would also appreciate more Japanese items to be stocked, but I do understand that we have a lot more students and visitors from China than Japan. Shucks, but what can you do? read more
