I grabbed a Groupon from here after seeing my friend's excellent manicure from Chi Energy Spa…read more I bought a manicure and pedicure appointment for my birthday. The building is off the beaten path. It's the old LTV Steel corporate offices. The Annex building 2 is all the way to the left, you cross through the walkway and when you get to the office, knock on the door. The door is locked for privacy reasons, I presume. My pedicure and manicure looked really good and lasted at least a week. It was a relaxing and calming appointment in a nice secluded atmosphere. My manicurist was friendly. We chit chatted a little bit but then she let me just relax. She was patient while I took forever to pick my colors and was thorough in her application. Like I said, it was a really good manicure. From the website, it shows they provide other services such as hair removal, make up application and lessons, massages, scrubs, and facials. I got a basic manicure and pedicure but they also provide gel and Shellac. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I really enjoyed this. I will be back!

You can fix all your problems - just ask for Natasha. But really my 120 min shirodhara treatment…read morewith Natasha was absolutely magical and so therapeutic. And all my friends equally valued and enjoyed their services. The spa is located in a home in Tremont, and there are a few relaxation rooms in addition to treatment rooms. There are also restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, as well as dedicated parking in the adjacent lot. The property has some lovely bee and butterfly friendly gardens. My only feedback would be to perhaps have some chairs for outdoor seating pre- or post-service. While this spa doesn't have all the amenities of a larger spa, the coziness of the property and especially the quality of the services will more than compensate. Please come support a wonderful local business and walk away cured!!!

My masseuse was very nice but was either very inexperienced or just lacked technique. Lots of oil and 90 % forearm in lieu of a deep tissue massage. Stopped the massage after 40 minutes of the scheduled 1 hour. They charged me the full $116 after leaving a $10 tip in spite of the debacle...the place is seemingly not the same so take heed...

The new location is beautiful and very welcoming, nice bathroom and seating area with snacks and water. We had the bigger room since it was a couples massage and it was inviting and relaxing. The massage therapist were kind and you can tell were experienced based on both of our massages. We did a 60 minute massage and they made sure to use every minute of it and made sure we both were ok throughout the whole time and focused on any area that we asked like back etc... Afterwards they gave us plenty of time to privately get up from bed and get dressed on our own time...no one rushed us. Once we exited the room, they had water ready for us and made sure we had a good experience. Will definitely be going there again

Holy smokes, I totally forgot to review this gem of a spa that I stumbled across from a spafinder…read moregift card! My boss wanted to treat me but since she was in Chicago, she let me pick my own destiny with a GC. Well lucky me, because Marengo was close to my location downtown and in one of my favorite buildings of all time - The Arcade! I said alrighty, let's give this spa a try! I had a deep tissue massage (express) with Brandi and I have continued to see her ever since - for longer periods now! She knows the right pressure points, makes you feel super comfortable, allows you to guide the level of conversation you do/don't want and is a genuine and easy person to be around! I'll be honest, I was a bit wary going into my first massage ever as a female in her 30s. Like have I been living under a cave? Yes. Indeed I have. For some reason I was worried it would be awkward in some way or feel forced to talk to a stranger. I don't know. Usually I had partners try to give me a massage after a long work week but it is JUST NOT THE SAME. I promise. Unless your partner is a licensed massage therapist I guess hehe. Also, five stars for the rest of the staff too. Monique, the owner, is absolutely wonderful and makes you feel at home every single time. I get my pedicure done there as well by a lovely gal and I've also had a very detailed manicure! I have yet to get my hair done but I'm considering that next! Overlooking the beautiful sights of The Arcade (especially during the holidays) is a sight to be seen while you relax and pamper yourself. They have great Valentine's Day deals too! I strongly strongly recommend Marengo! They put the Luxury in Luxury Spa for sure! :) They even have a little tea room that you can sit in and deep breathe after your massage! I don't even really like tea but there's nothing more soothing than sipping something hot while you're sitting in a comfy robe.

The plan was to get a facial and massage, but they were booked for massages the day I called so I got a facial. The place is nicely decorated & has a real calm to it I appreciated. The young ladies at the front desk were very nice e and kept a smile while getting me checked in. I was taken to the back area where I was introduced to Olga. Such a kind person. She confirmed whether or not I had ever had a facial so I knew what to expect (I've had only 1 before and this one was over the top compared to the basic one I received before). I was thrown off at first when I had to take my shirt off and get under a towel because it was a facial. It was really a facial for the face, the neck, ears, shoulders and top chest area. There was definitely a massage and amazing feels from all the oils, lotions and whatever else was used on me. The best. I've never fallen asleep during a facial or massage and this had me on the edge of bliss/slumber. I can't wait to get another one and really hope my next experience is the same as this was. Cheers!
