Coa Asian Resturant…read more Amazing to say the least, has magical atmosphere, beautiful, simple yet very classy and elegant interior. Has different kinds and levels of guests, casuals, business people in suites, including a long table business luncheon, us who are non Frankfurters and found Cao by coincidence. Though it was about 75% occupied but service was perfect in timing, no mistakes, very very friendly, I asked Morin if I can take photos to post and I was very welcomed to do so, Sechen one of the staff jumped in the middle and took a photo with me, very very friendly move. Then, the food arrived and I stopped everything to enjoy every second and every bite. And another story began. Wow. Thank you Coa, we are returning for sure and will the world about you. #coawokandbowls #coaasianrestaurant #coa_resaturant #coarestaurant # coafrankfurt #frankfurt #frankfurtrestaurants #frankfurtfoodblog

Very nice Japanese restaurant for a quick meal in Frankfurt, specially if you like kaiten-zushi…read more(conveyor belt sushi). We had a delicious unagidon (eel over rice), shrimps, some rolls and a warm sake. Service was quick and attentive and there were plenty of choices. It's not what I would call traditional, as there are lots of westernized and 'creative' sushi, but the food was very well done and we had a good time!

Sushiko is a nice little conveyor-belt sushi place in the heart of Sachsenhausen on Schweizer…read moreStrasse. Their sushi comes in 8 price-tiers, colour-coded to the plates they circulate on. For my money, Sushiko is better than their competitors on this level in Frankfurt like Sushi Circle, Sushi Live, etc. You can either pick-up from the conveyor belt or order fresh bento boxes, sushi rolls or tempura selections. Anything that you pick up that is intended to be eaten hot, a waiter will quickly spot you and warm the dish for you on the spot. The staff are very friendly and attentive and quick to help you out, which I really like. You can either sit counter-style, facing the belt or at some of their 4-person tables, all on high stools. They have good green tea and some nice, dry Japanese beers as well. Like any conveyor belt sushi joint, they throw some rather random curve balls into circulation like chocolate truffles, puddings and random western things that don't really belong. However, the selection of sushi and tempura is good and if you don't see what you want, just flag a waiter and it's made to order very quickly. The fish and overall quality is good for this type of restaurant - of course they don't try to compete with the higher end, more traditional places like Fujiwara. But for their niche, Sushi outshines others on the same playing field.

It's all about sushi and rolls. They have a small appetizer menu. I am not familiar with the options for sushi in Frankfurt. So I will calibrate my expectations to the other reviews--I certainly enjoyed the kaiseki like artful plating. Truly clever and insta-ready. The ingredients were pristine, and the fish was served at ambient temperature--a confident move demonstrating commitment to selling the product that session. Is it world class? No. The sushi rice, while tender and vinegared well, was packed a bit too tightly. The fish was fresh, but not of premium quality in marbling, and the sashimi slices were rather thin for sashimi but appropriate for the gorgeous nigiri. That's it. Nothing more to nit pick. And I am giving this place 5 stars in context! In the end, I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Go to the counter to pay up when done. Service can be slow as the orders stack up. They infuse care and pride in all they do--it was worth the wait for me. Cam on, Thi!
