As I had mentioned previously, it is difficult to find spicy food in Germany. I needed to wake up my taste buds to venture into the city and this was a great spot. The restaurant is large for a German eatery, bursting with orange ceiling lamps and large benches. Completely brightened by the large windows. I was greeted immediately and the gal brought out an English menu for me. Of course, I was in the mood for a big bowl of ramen, and they had a nice vegan option. While waiting, I sipped on a cold green tea and I watched the world go by outside. I love people watching! Pretty quickly, the steaming hot bowl of ramen arrived. Full of veggies and enoki mushrooms that I love. Of course, it had zero spice but still was tasty. There are a variety of hot sauces as well as Togarashi, so I pretty much added each one into my food. The noodles had a nice bite to them and the veggies were still crisp. We took the food to go and made it a ways away to our tram stop to head home. We missed the first tram and decided to start eating at the tram stop. There was no soy sauce in the bag, but there was some chili paste stuff. I opened up my shrimp fried rice and it was so pale that I knew I was in for trouble. The taste was good but dannnnggg this stuff needed salt or soy sauce in a desperate way. I actually couldn't even eat it. My boyfriend had the same issue. They were such flavorless dishes. Once we got home, we dumped insane amounts of soy sauce on the stuff and it was pretty decent at this point. It hit the spot just like we needed. I am giving this three stars despite extreme disappointment because had their been some soy sauce in the bag, it would have solved the problem right away. It was just a major inconvenience and the food got a bit cold in the process. But I would definitely go back here and try something else on the menu! :)

The server noticed that we were not native and combined 2 tables to create a 4 top for the 2 of us. (Would NEVER happen in NYC or Paris...never!) The steaks were very good, well marbled, flavorful, tender and served perfectly medium rare. Appetizers were good, but the scallops just a touch underdone, more like warm sashimi. Our server Alina, originally from Armenia, was warm and shared a bunch about her 20 year German journey. An amazing evening, we walked the 3.5km back to our hotels to prepare to head home. The staff are friendly and helpful, and always have the best recommendations if you're overwhelmed with all the choices in the menu. The food is so flavorful and enriching that it makes me home-sick, and the dish is decorated beautifully to take an instagram-worthy pic. I would definitely be returning, and if you're a foody with a love for Asian cuisine, I would highly recommend visiting!
