The owner came to clear some dishes at the table next to me, and asked how my food was. I said it was fine, but he was determined to show me his skills. Here is what raised my experience: he brought me two small bowls of a lamb and chicken cashew dishes. They were wonderfully flavorful and spicy. Thats what I expect if I walk into an Asian Street Style place. He was very nice to me and observant without me giving many clues. I am staying another day and may go back tomorrow if something else does not catch my eye. As I left he gave me a mango smoothie for the walk. Top service. His heart is on his sleeve and in his cooking. Definitely try this place for lunch if your in the area. On a sunny day there are wonderful views of the port like region.

I had to share a table to another beautiful lady from Portugal and visited Chicago around Halloween (PS was unusually extremely cold and snowing around that time). Was great to chat with her and complained about Chicago weather. I got my usual Sushi-Unagi and a bowl of Ramen soup which was perfect for the winter at Bremen. There was aloe of meat and some spice but perfectly balanced for my northern palette ( there was a bowl of fresh chills if you wanted more besides the normal chili sauces) Let me be honest, as much as I love Asian food, the deserts always leaves me with a "mehhh " - it's jut not for me - NOT THIS PLACE THOUGH! The Host is a little blunt and off putting but once your are past the door of this very busy spot the waitstaff is excellent. Coming from the southern USA I had my doubts but ordered the spare ribs, friend got a steak, other friend got the 24 hour beef which I think translates better to Prime rib roast. All were done quite well! Ribs were a very good, more of a St. Louis style wet rib, sauce on the sweeter side, but fall off the bones tender. Steak was cooked to a proper rare and not over seasoned. Meat quality was excellent! The manhattan was good (Bulliet bourbon is the top shelf). Beer selection is the usual German varieties Weiss wheat or dunkle. They do have a nice gin selection. Travelled to Bremen in the summer from Canada, August 2016. Came to Le's Bistro to order take-out…read moreand the owner had us waiting a very long time. Finally when it was our turn, he refused to take our order. He yelled at us for no reason telling us that we cannot sit in the reserved seats, which we didn't sit in because we CLEARLY saw the sign that said reserved. He also embarrassed us by walking to other tables yelling at us and mumbling things. In this situation we were very uncomfortable leaving us to walk out and I believe this was because of the colour of our skin (though I am not trying to pull the race card, but this was clearly the situation). I hope no one ever has to go through this situation.
