The Host is a little blunt and off putting but once your are past the door of this very busy spot the waitstaff is excellent. Coming from the southern USA I had my doubts but ordered the spare ribs, friend got a steak, other friend got the 24 hour beef which I think translates better to Prime rib roast. All were done quite well! Ribs were a very good, more of a St. Louis style wet rib, sauce on the sweeter side, but fall off the bones tender. Steak was cooked to a proper rare and not over seasoned. Meat quality was excellent! The manhattan was good (Bulliet bourbon is the top shelf). Beer selection is the usual German varieties Weiss wheat or dunkle. They do have a nice gin selection. I had to share a table to another beautiful lady from Portugal and visited Chicago around Halloween (PS was unusually extremely cold and snowing around that time).
