Bok have built up quite a chain of restaurants around Hamburg. In Altona there are two and in Schanze I think they have 6(!). Obviously this means they're doing something right. The food is mostly Thai, but I think most of their places serve a variety of asian dishes. For instance there is normally some Sushi on the menu. This particular Bok is a self-service one - meaning that you queue at a counter, place and order and then wait for your number to come up. Personally I much prefer this to their restaurant experience. It's a bit cheaper, much faster, but just as good food. Hmm, I really should comment on the food. It's good without being great, if I'm honest. One of those places that you're always happy to eat at, but perhaps you're not going to go out of your way to go to. read more

Germany big cities are trying to trend it up with Asian Fusion food everywhere but bare in mind in Northern part of Germany they dont neccessarily find Asians as Beautys. First off, I'm sad this is just another Western water down fast food joint where the quality is shit and everything is over salted and spicy portion dropped for the Scandinavian palate. I recommend for Authentic Vietnames, go to Green Papaya down the street. It's always packed and this is probably reason why others suck cause the Best is always packed and too popular. read more

(this applies to any Bok location) great and fast food, especially the Thai curries and mango salad! Made fresh without MSG. Great light taste, and a good value. Highly recommended for a quick Asian meal. The Bok in the Sternschanze is a bit more average rather than budget priced, but has an expanded menu and really excellent food. read more

The best thing about this place is that it's quiet later in the evening, which is when my boyfriend and I usually go there. It's also on the cheap side. The dishes we've tried so far taste very good. No idea if they are traditional Thai/whatever dishes, but we don't care about that as long as they taste good. read more

Diese Geschäft ist nicht geschlossen, gehört aber nicht mehr zur Bok-Kette: http://www.bokrestaurant.de/news.html Mein Gerichts war erstaunlich mickrig für deutlich über EUR 6,00 und eher eine Kinderportion. Eine Handvoll zerschnippeltes Gemüse, in Sosse ertränkt mit Spuren von Fleisch. Der Reis nähert sich geschmacklich und von der Konsistenz her dem deutschen Milchreis an. Weder lecker noch sättigend. Aufgrund der Bitterstoffe wird vermutlich oft Verschnitt in den Gerichten verwertet. Das Fleisch ist zäh wie Gummi. Daher bestelle ich oft die scharfe Kokossuppe (#9), die stimmt immer. Auf den Abschnitten für die Bestellung steht regelmässig "Ausser Haus", auch wenn man dort isst. Die Mitarbeiter wissen auch, dass das nicht richtig ist und winken ab. Die Toiletten sind prinzipiell ok, auch wenn die Herrentoilette schon länger nicht mehr schliessen lässt und das niemand in Angriff nimmt. Die Bedienung ist in Ordnung. Der Laden selbst ist hell und angenehm, im Sommer kann man draussen sitzen. read more

Alles in allem eine 6 !!! Schlechter Service, Selbstbedienung, Essen rede ich nicht drüber Service chaotisch und unfreundlich !!! Dieser "Laden" sollte geschlossen werden. So schlecht habe ich in den letzten Jahren nicht mehr gegessen. Urteilt selber, Ich erwarte auch für wenig Geld ein Minimum an Qualität !! Aber dieser Laden für mich eine klare 6- !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Nummern ziehen wie auf dem Arbeitsamt. Wehr keine Ansprüche stellt, GUTEN APPETIT Rechtlich, ist es nur meine Meinung !!! Bok ist nicht grundsätzlich miserabel, Aber der in Altona ist für mich unmöglich !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wie gesagt , meine Meinung ! Der in der Schanze ist gut. Ich geh immer wieder gerne zu BOK. Die Speisen schmecken einfach immer gut und sind dabei zu bezahlen. DasEssen wird in der Küche sehr frisch zubereitet, allerdings nicht zum Platz gebracht. Für mich stellt das allerdings kein Problem dar. Immerhin schmeckt es ja auch sehr gut. Das einzig Verbesserungswürdige ist für mich dass es teilweise schon etwas zu lange dauert bis das Essen fertig ist. read more

Ja leider sehr durchwachsen mal ist die Qualität echt gut mal hat man das Gefühl man bekommt nur noch die zusammengekratzen Reste. GEnerell gutes Konzept aber sehr unbeständige Qualität. read more
