it blows my mind that anybody thinks this place is good. i've been dragged along here several times…read morefor birthday dinners with my ex-boyfriend's family, and i asked him every time, why the hell would they choose this place? it's awful. and the answer was always, well you can eat as much as you want! so yeah, that's the good part about mr. wu. the bad part is everything else. the buffet area is always cramped & hectic. and the food itself is just crap. the sushi is a joke, and it seems like everything else is fried & flavorless. they even have french fries, wtf. the only thing worth eating is the (i suppose) mongolian-style grill, where you pile a plate with whatever meat, veggies, and sauce you desire, and they cook it fresh for you. but even that is nothing to write home about. for dessert they provide the lamest shit they could think of, including jello & mediocre ice cream. seriously, they could not even shell out for good ice cream. it's shitty ice cream. i'll never voluntarily go to mr. wu, and now that i'm no longer with my boyfriend, i don't think i'll have to ever be dragged there again either! :D

I was looking for a place to grab bar grub and drinks after class with a couple of classmates. It…read morewas a thursday night and I was afraid of walking around the downtown area and being turned away from every bar just because we didn't have a reservation because...you need a reservation for everything in Hamburg :( My friend suggested a snack place if we didn't mind going over to altona and so we all hopped on the U bahn and took a short bus ride over to Asia Imbiss. Definitely a korean hole in the wall type vibe when you get here which is awesome. The place is not super big but looks like a lot of locals come here to get their korean food fix. The menu is asian with thai dishes and also korean dishes on a smaller menu. Our friend took the lead and ordered us the korean fried chicken and an order of Jajangmyeon (korean black bean noodles). Then we grabbed a couple of bottles of Soju from the fridge and a can of mango and lychee juice to mix with the soju. If you come here and get one thing, get the korean fried chicken! It's soooooo good! I miss good korean fried chicken and this hits the spot! The spicy sauce is not too spicy but has great flavor to it! The Black bean noodles were really tasty as well! It's a big portion so you can definitely share with 2 or 3 people. Wash it all down with a couple of beers or our ghetto mixed soju cocktails and you'll have a great night! Mixing the soju with lychee juice tasted better than the mango. Great homey atmosphere, cheap prices and great tasting food! I will be back soon for more chicken for sure!

Important Notice: I don't include the service quality and location in my ratings anymore, if there…read moreis something to highlight (good or bad), I will do so seperately! This place is a rather hidden and shady place, but a secret tip for the people who have been there! Don't go there for the usual Chinese dishes, unless you feel like it, but for the original Korean dishes, seperately written on a small menu. The most popular dish is Korean Fried Chicken, most Koreans go there to get their hands on the chicken. There are other Korean dishes, but they don't stand out like in Korea (if you have been in Korea, you know what I'm talking about). Maybe try the BBQ with Pork Belly (Samgyeopsal), seems good too! A few side dishes are served as well, and Korean alcohol is available (Soju, Makkgeoli). Overall great taste, a place we will go to often!!! Service: Don't expect too much service as it is an older couple only. Come here for the food, and don't take you date here ;)
