The price is relatively cheap and portions are not small. Solid vietnamnese spot. Why not 5 stars: 1) the service was not so good. Not very attentive and they were playing their jokes and mocking each other with all the employees outside and inside the kitchen while we were eating, causing a weird situation and lots of screaming noises 2) The table, chairs everything was sticky and somehow not super clean 3) The food was good but not in way that makes this place stand out or unique. For lunch, it was not crowded at all and we were seated immediately. I loved the atmosphere. It was a mix of retro and jungle explorer. That's how I would describe the interior. The menu was very clear, in both English and German, and they also had specials. I liked the food a lot but the highlight for me was the tea. I ordered the Blooming Jasmine and it was kind of expensive. I think it's a gimmick because you can actually see it bloom in the cup but it tasted so good. That's one of my favorite teas. We could have skipped the calamari appetizer and gone straight to the main dishes because we were full. I would come back to try the different menu items and also the house beer.

I would definitely recommend Farmhouse. It's a bit of an odd place because it's marketed as Fusion,…read morebut their dishes are quite authentic Chinese/Taiwanese cuisine. I grew up in Taiwan and I love Chinese food and have been to most if not all of the Chinese restaurants in Berlin. I know I'm partial because I live in Neukolln so this is nearby, but really the food is excellent. I don't care about waiting times really, and on top of that I've never had to wait at all unlike the last reviewer. Maybe just good luck for me, not sure, but I highly recommend giving it a try. Don't be thrown by the western style plating, the food is very good. Try the Hong Sao Dumplings (dumplings in chilli sauce), Peking Duck Wraps, Spinach salad, Dong Puo Pork Belly, Spicy fried Perch Fish, and more!

In general, I like the athmosphere at Pan Bao better (mainly because Shiso is so hectic), but the burgers simply weren't that good. I had some fried crab and my friend chose the salmon burger - both of us were disappointed. Especially my crab burger was not good at all. You could have deep fried a bread 10 times and served it as crab meat instead, I wouldn't have known the difference. I am not saying this is a bad restaurant, but I definitely made the wrong choice. Also, the burgers are missing something in general. Unfortunately, I can't point my finger at it, though.
