Both times I have had steak and it's been excellent. The house red is rijoca and it's my favourite red wine and it's only £15 a bottle. My partner has a taste card so it's two for one on starters, mains and dessert so great value for money. They even give you an ice cold lemonchello after your meal which is a nice touch. The lemonchilo served between courses was a nice little touch which cleansed the pallete for desert. I tried the tiramasu which ticked all the boxes for me. The restaurant itself is lively and has a really good atmosphere. They have a magician on a Sunday which is great fun as he is really good at entertaining you with some very clever table magic and he always remembers a face when you have been before. They also do childrens parties and my daughter had one here the other year and it was a fantastic success. The staff looked after our every need and even made great suggestions for the food and drink, infact they never charged us for the jugs of soft drinks for the children nor were we charged for the garlic bread, no idea if that is the norm but it was a lovely gesture and much appreciated. They did a pinata for the kids which went down really well, i have had a bash (quite literally) at it and this is done over to one side away from the 'normal' dinners as is possible as they try to seat any larger groups around the same area which is nice for noise reduction etc. They then had a full magic show for the party guests and any other children could join in and watch and of course the bithday child is picked out for a special treat. The magician also does a neat card trick where the playing card ends up on the ceiling with your childs name and birthday written on it, our daughters is still on the ceiling! They do a great lunch time menu priced around £7pp definitely worth popping in for some grub and a caipirinha. The restaurant is surrounded by lots of other restaurants but they always seem empty compared to the Latino hustle and bustle outside Las Iguanas. You can't beat sitting outside on a sunny day, munching away tapas and slurping cocktails. It's a close walk to the docks too so you can go for a leisurely stroll after your meal to burn off the calories. Would recommend their 'gambas' four juicy prawns in their signature tomato-based chilli sauce. As far as chain restaurants go, this is one of my favourites.
