My dad was seen by Dr. Weiss this was my first time accompanying him and this doctor is rude, arrogant, chose not to answer questions. He just wanted a yes or no answer was quick to just say he would put in another request to insurance but didn't put much care into patient. My Doctor is Awesome Dr Wharton .At least 2 of the receptionists are Rude As Heck. A lady stated that she didn't bring her glasses to fill out forms and one of the chicks was like oh well. When I got my paperwork from the other receptionists she tried to just throw it up on the counter while I had my hand out . Very unorganized and unprofessional. Every time I came in here or my wife came in we are not scheduled, but show proof of our scheduled appointment. Never been seen by a doctor, just in a video call only. Then they make you wait inside a room for a very long time exceeding more than an hour. Then charge you an arm and a leg for never seeing a doctor in person. Do not bother going here. How can you get checked properly if you have never seen the docotor physically??? read more

I came here on a recommendation and I was disappointed and thats saying it nicely. I was experiencing bad back pains. My initial visit wasn't bad. Since I was a new patient, you have to fill out a ton of paperwork. The waiting room was very busy, but I didnt have to wait to long when they called me. I saw Dr M (thats what he asked me to call him) and he was cool. He went thru the drills, bend this way, bend that way..etc. The Dr was writing all these notes in my file. When I was done, I made an appt to start my procedure. Well, thats where the problems began In order to start my procedure, the clinic had to contact my doctor to receive permission so I can move forward with my procedure. I was told they will contact me after they get permission. So I waited for a phone call. This call never happened. I called the clinic a week later and they had no clue what the hell I was talking about. I had to explain to the receptionist what the clinic needed to do. We left it as that. Never got a call back!! I called the clinic again and again the front office had no idea what I was talking about. I told her to check my notes the Dr left. At that point is when the front office realized the Dr left notes! I was told they would call me back. This time I did get a call back but it was for me to move forward with my procedure. I asked if they made contact with my regular Dr. They didn't get any permission because they never called my doctor! At this point I was done! I called my Dr a week later just to see if the clinic called, they never did. I have since moved on and found another clinic to take care of me. Now I know why this clinic has low ratings. I went thru a bad experience but that doesn't mean you will. I will not be recommending this clinic. Just beware! read more

All the Doctor's and office Management need to take complete accountability for the front office counter worker by the name of Candy, her unprofessional mannerisms, facial expressions, rudeness, and disrespect, was so unprofessional and blatant toward me, as if she feared no consequences and died and says as she damn well pleases. The sickening condescending treatment needs to be dealt with swiftly and accountability by the management and owners for this type employee. Many people walk through the doors sick dealing with other illnesses and pain. Central California Pain Management provides no free medical care, this is a paid through each patient's insurance or employee service for medical care . Not one patient has to use this facility, they can choose to all leave and go elsewhere. Nobody walks in the door of this office to be greeted by a disrespectful and rude, unprofessional, sarcastic employees. The front desk management for the front office staff was surprisingly not available when I was there 4/30/24 and again when I called 5/3/24. Today when I called I had to push all serval extensions to get somebody in the business office ti help me touch with a front office manager. A Gloria gets on the phone and represents herself as the manager, but I was told at the counter after my appointment it was someone else. Trying to reach someone this week to file a complaint and get the process was nearly impossible. I had been a patient for years at this location , after my encounter 4/30/24 with Candy, the next day I immediately switched my pain management care elsewhere. I will not be back as long as Candy's employed she's a direct reflection on the entire office. This Candy sat in my face reading my confidential medical record paperwork I was dropping off for the doctor, she scanned it and sat their reading it as she is a qualified medical doctor and where is the policy to not violate HIPPA and give patients records to their medical records? I stand to side to wait for this Candy to scan 4 pages in that went very quick and she makes herself a copy to read as I am observing her. I then ask for all my papers back, she doesn't honor my request and gets an attitude and a from there, she decided to get sarcastic, simultaneously, my name is called and she states "Go on they are calling your name" with her voice elevate and forceful being disrespectfully toward me, pointing like she barking order toward a child. Her demeanor was that of someone who perhaps had no respected maternal figure in her life or witnessed others treat patients and people poorly and she believe this is how you operate on the job or in public. I would not be surprised if other issues reported regarding Candy. My encounter with Candy is beyond what more training could assist her with, that type of foul demeanor is inherent, it was sickening to experience her blatant disrespect. I was with my adult daughter age 30 +, a teacher in Kern County who attends all my appointment with me and she observed this and was appalled, she had to go back to the counter after I was called back to let this Candy know her disrespect toward me would not go unchecked and request a record release. I called back could not get anyone on the phone. This office needs to add a complaint extension so patients can register complaints on unprofessional and disrespectful employees as soon as it happens. Gloria apologized for Candy's disrespect and heard me out, but other employees shouldn't have to. People like the employee Candy clearly don't value their jobs or what customer service entails or how her treatment toward others is a direct reflection on Central California Pain Management as a whole. Please don't come here. I recently just left with my grandma from an appointment she had here. Staff is very rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. We waited for almost an hour to be called in and the lady, Brenda, who took her weight and blood test was being rude. Her demeanor was horrible and had an attitude. My grandma asked one of the workers how she can make a complaint against Brenda and they said she could do it upfront. He even agreed that Brenda is very rude. So then when we walked to the front to make the next appointment, the lady Candy, was being completely dismissive and ignorant about the way my grandma felt. She did not seem to care how uncomfortable my grandma felt. She said, "Thats just the way she is." And asking my grandma if Brenda hit her or told her something. She was basically defending her. I was surprised because I never encountered a rude and unprofessional individual like that. You should leave your attitude at home and if not stay home. This staff has no sense of empathy or concern. read more

first i have nothing bad to sa about the drs. they have always been kind to me i have a lot of health issues. i am an amputee and have problems with my heart ,back surgery and other things that would take along time to share. i am in agreatdeal of pain and i only us central pain management.the problem is my prescription was called in by me twice once on friday 4/11/25 .i called back 4xs on monday finally talked with the new patient person she went over to the desk and told the staff i was calling to make sure they got my message about my refills 1 whitch was due on april 25 or 26 according to my pharmacy. i when i called back to checkon it the same day 4/14 i couldn't get in touch with anyone i called and was to i would have my call awnsered by the next avalible person 6xs. i was told that i tried calling 3-4 times a day no one picked up. i called when i finally got through to the authrozations they saide it looked like it was ready for friday. i called at 4;30 know one picked up. i called in plenty of time to get my rx.filled on time but since the rx machine said it was full starting on monday 4/14/25 they had no message even though i called and spoke to 3 different people.so i knew they were open on saturday my husband volunteers at calm on his way home he stopped at the office for me to find out what was going on the lady behind the desk said they would not call it in until monday they said that it wasn't called in on time.the rx. machine was full the rude lady at the frount desk told my husband she didn't care that it won't be called in until monday. i spoke with her and she would not let me talk with anyone else, i have never abused my medications but am going to be left all weekend without my meds. i called in plenty of time wasnt rude said please and thank you but i feel that since their phone systime wasn't working it's my fault.she said you should have called monday idid call monday the machine was full and i gave the information to an employee the person at the front desk told my husband she knew that but the refill rule is 3-5 business days. monday thru friday is 5 business days she said but they don't count the day it is called in that is still 4 business days.so i am spending my easter weekend in pain because of the phone system being changed they punish me for that.not much compassion on this.shame on the system.i feel as they don't give a dam that people are in pain and need help i hope none of you have to deal with chronic pain i am to a point that i can hardley walk.shame on you.a read more

Their service could not be worse. They do not care about their patients. You wait days for call backs, and fail to renew your prescriptions when they are due, even with reminder phone calls. Waited on hold for over an hour, several days in a row, and got the answering service who cannot help you either. Part of pain management is having your treatment consistently. You cannot do that when your prescription is not refilled, although you have done all the steps you are required to do for your meds. My husband suffers because of this place! Do not go to Dr. Parmar ,they took a urine test for my sister,said it would take 2 weeks to get back,in the meantime they gave her no pain medicines.she was put into cold turkey withdrawn for 15 days.Most of the staff was just as bad,they were very rude when we called, would not give messages to the doctor.When the lab sent results in they said, they never received them twice.It took my nephew saying he would pick up the lab results.and drop off in person,they said, it wasn't allowed. They looked for results and found in 3 minutes. Shame on this doctor and his staff,the doctor knows better than this it is his job.What was the point of being so cruel,my sister could have died.I had a friend this happened to and he died after 20 days of cold turkey withdrawl. read more

They violate HIPAA regulations. They refuse to provide me with my medical records unless I come into their office. I am currently 3000 miles away. They refuse to send me a medical release form and hung up on me when I requested to speak to someone else. I have had nothing but terrible interactions with office staff. read more

The staff was difficult to get through to, however, Dr. Parmar was FANTASTIC! He is very concerned about the patient and his care also aware and careful about medicines that cause dependencies. We had to go into the office to get attention (never got calls back from office) but if you can go in person to schedule yourself, he come highly recommended by my family. read more

The Doctor has been good to work with, but his staff for prescriptions has been Care-less. I have been on pain meds for 6 years for cronic pain. When I called for my monthly refill, the staff lady told me they would not refill my pain meds for 6 days. When I told her I would be out in 2 days, she said she could not help and I would have to wait. On the 7th day I called back because my pharmacy said the Doctor's office did not call in the pills. At 3:00 pm I called and asked them to call it in. She said they have till 5pm to call it in. I explained I had been out of meds now for 5 days. She didn't care and would not help. Central California Pain Management is one of the most unprofessional, insensitive nightmares you can experience here in Bakersfield, CA. If you are trying to get help with managing a pain condition; take my advice and go elsewhere. Don't add insult to injury by going there. The first time I called to inquire about medical services I was hung up on twice and one of the front office staff told me I could not come there. What she based that on I will never know. I wonder if the Doctors at this office know their front office is telling their potential customers they can't go there? It's a blessing if you heed that warning; as unprofessional it may be. My Doctors office from Los Angeles thought he was doing me a favor with a referral. I received a call and was given an appointment. First visit seemed okay. But after that, services went down hill from that point. My prescription was wrong and I was not able to reconnect with the appropriate staff to change it. I had no choice but to settle with the existing prescription; if I wanted any kind of pain relief. On the second visit the Doctor lied or act like he had no recollection about our conversation and agreement made during the initial appointment. He became belligerent and hid behind the new laws regarding control substance. I was made to feel like a drug addict. I was told I was not approved for services but was given a prescription. When I tried to locate another Pain Management Doctor I was misrepresented to another office. I was in such horrible pain after my ALIF Back surgery. This office added to my pain with all their chaos and stress I experienced trying to receive pain management services. Don't go there! Staff is rude. They also say they called in medications and didn't. Parmar will use you like a guinea pig and try every new item that hits the market on you. He doesn't listen to what you say. He is always in a rush and spends maybe 2 minutes with you. He is an opioid pusher. I was his patient for 10 years and he never did an MRI on me to monitor my condition. All he wants to do is push massive amounts of pills and push epidurals. He is constantly asking to put stimulators and spacers in your body. Neither did any good for me. Spacer caused terrible pain and he wouldn't remove it for 6 months. All he cares about is make money and opening new offices and urgent care offices and surgery centers. Take my advice and look elsewhere if pain management. I did and am doing better. With no pain pills. read more

I have been on a medication for 23 years. Never increasing the dosage. This Dr cutoff the medication with no warning, no communication. I went into severe withdrawals making it impossible to work or function in any capacity. Very poor patient care. read more
