I snagged a reservation with the boyfriend in hopes of trying their ramen collab with Chef Daisuke…read more The chicken was cooked perfectly - tender pieces of chicken breaded then doused in sauce on top of egg salad. The slices of fish in the chirashi bowl melted in my mouth and they added just the right amount of rice to the dish. And the miso ramen had the softest ramen noodles - I really enjoyed the texture. The broth isn't as rich as some others and I appreciated that, but I did feel that it was missing a kick. Overall, I had a good experience and would dine here again. A good little date spot for a quick dinner.

4.5 / 5.0 - I'd visited the Gallery quite some time ago and the atmosphere changes regularly…read moredepending on the exhibit, so it was interesting to see a different layout. I came for dinner this week with visitors from Japan, who were impressed by how authentically Japanese and delicious everything was. Unfortunately, I don't have photos, but we chose the restaurant week menu, which included: 1. Japanese potato salad 2. Choice of kushiage, chicken nanban or kinpira salad--I chose kushiage, which came with 3 pieces 3. Choice of kaisen don, signature burger or shoyu ramen--the burger looked very tasty, but I was in the mood for Japanese food, so I chose the kaisen don 4. Homemade soft serve with choice of strawberry, mango or melon sauce--I chose melon, which was nice We also tried sparkling tea from Copenhagen, which was very refreshing. The restaurant was busy but the servers were friendly and we had a wonderful meal. Looking forward to trying more dishes next time.

Just under half a block from Rockefeller Center, this auction house is a surprisingly good stop,…read morethough perhaps not a top priority for tourists. I've frequented Rockefeller Center and its surrounding numerous times but never knew about Christie's until this trip, when Boucheron hosted a 10-day exhibition here. The event was free, and so are the regular auction previews. The high jewelry masterpieces by Boucheron were breathtaking in both artistry and craftsmanship, as well as their sheer value. After viewing the featured exhibit, we roamed through the rest, including a Japanese anime collection and Billy Joel's motorcycle collection, and many others. Even though we aren't wealthy enough to bid on any of these items, we could still appreciate them, much like artifacts curated in a museum. A large staff was present throughout the premises for obvious reasons, and everyone we interacted with behaved professionally. There are restrooms on the mezzanine level, and on the ground floor you can find complimentary tea and coffee with a lounge area to rest. I look forward to future exhibits.

Christie's 20 Rockefeller Plaza…read moreNew York, NY 10020 This prestigious auction house is located in the heart of Rockefeller Center. Throughout the year, different types of memorabilia are on display to the public before being auctioned. During my visit, I saw a wide variety of memorabilia from the Jim Irsay Collection. This included movie props, screenplays, music, sports, and autographs. I was especially impressed when I witnessed the Golden Ticket, a signed Babe Ruth baseball, and The Beatles drumset. Admission is free and complimentary cookies and coffee are served in the lobby. Due to the value of the merchandise, all visitors must pass through a metal detector. Large size bags are not allowed in the gallery, but they may be left at the Coat Check. The only disadvantage is that the exhibitions are temporary. If there is a specific exhibit you wish to view, drop everything and head over immediately before the souvenirs are sold. #jimirsaycollection #christiesnyc #christiesnycauction #rockefellercenternyc #christiesauction
