Wedding Day - Thursday, May 7…read more Our daughter and her fiancé chose Lizton Lodge after touring several local venues - THE best choice they could have made. The weeknight discount allowed them to stay within their budget without giving up any wedding magic. Guest after guest commented on how beautiful the venue and grounds were. This venue is easily accessible from I-74, but the trees, blooming flowers, and fountains create a hidden-away ambiance. Lizton Lodge's day-of-coordinator, Gracie, made every step of the process smooth, allowing me to relax and enjoy the festivities. Their large decor inventory, linen rentals, and attention to detail made the reception hall shine - all we provided were the greenery and flowers. The best part was that the staff did all the clean-up at the end of the night. I highly recommend Lizton Lodge for anyone seeking an idyllic setting for an intimate wedding.

The inside facility is absolutely beautiful. There are so many different rooms available, and it is homey, The staff immediately made us feel comfortable. They were very patient and reassuring with all our questions. Throughout the year of planning, Laura responded quickly to all questions. She provided valuable insight and assistance in decision making without taking charge. Other than it being too hot, which was out of venue's control, and having to move the ceremony with 90 minutes until wedding start the wedding was just what my daughter and her fiancée had wanted and dreamed of, There are so many picturesque spots both inside and out. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for both the staff and the facility.

I would not hesitate to hire him again. Thank You DJ ENDY ENT!!!

If you are looking for a SCAMMER, you have chosen the right DJ…read more He will quickly book your event and communicate via text with with you beforehand. However, the day before the event, he claims to have a medical emergency and sends a text saying he cannot attend. Why medical emergencies can occur a refund should be issued immediately. Instead, he forces his client to take legal action to recover their money, which is unacceptable. To make matters worse he uses multiple names and addresses making it difficult to track him down another clear red flag. He continues to book events and boast about them, but the real question is how many events does he actually fulfill? If your looking for a DJ (or in his case a SCAMMER) who books your event, cancels via text night before, refuses to refund your deposit, and forces you to track him down and pursuit legal action to recover your money then this is the scammer for you! I attended this venue for the first time last Saturday, for a lovely outdoor wedding…read more The grounds were beautiful and the timing was perfect. It was a 4:35 wedding, so it was starting to cool off. They have an arbor under which the bridal party stood, and the attendees face west. But because of the tree line for the woods (with creek below that) that run along the west side of the building, there was beautiful speckled shade, and we were not facing any harsh sun. The grass and perennial planting beds were in very nice condition. The receiving line was held outdoors as well, at the entrance to the building on the circular drive under the large open roof. From there guests could see that the catering company (separate contract) set up the beautiful pool patio for a short reception while the wedding party and families did additional pictures. This was perfect because, inside the bar was already open and outside we had tea, water and hors d'oevres to pass the time and visit with other guests. Again, this outdoor area was lovely. There was a lot of standing room and only a handful of chairs and tables. They might consider adding more for an event like this. The front has double doors to/off the foray. Indoors, the facility is painted a cheerful yellow, and the open-beam construction is so pretty that you don't need to dress it up with a lot of decorations. The place is full of windows in the front near where the catering set up food on one side and the wedding cake on the other. But the real show stoppers are the picture windows on the west side. They set up the bridal party table in front of the windows, and I'm sure the pictures were beautiful. It's definitely got an upscale lodge feel (hence the name) with a stone hearth on the south end of the hall and a loft on the north side, where the DJ sets up. That was fun because as the wedding party was announced again at the reception they got to file down the stairs and dance across the dance floor to their seats. The staff was friendly and one even helped with cake cutting, though that apparently wasn't arranged before the event. The caterers (just okay) refused to cut the cake. The bar had a cute chalkboard display furthering the classy country vibe. One thing to consider for us ladies is to get dropped off at the front if you're in heels. The parking lot and the walk to the facility itself is course gravel. It could tear up nice shoes. Beautiful venue on pristine grounds. I just wish it was closer to Indy but I get that not everything can be!

They have the capability to serve sit down meals and to have a full bar. It got a little noisy for me so I took a little walk outside. I don't know who was more startled--me or the big at least ten point buck that was getting a drink if water. If you are planning an event in this area, you MUST check this place out. Two thumbs up! OMG. This place even has a dedicated propane fueled 20 kilowatt back up generator. I'm in LOVE.

Not to mention, the price is the most reasonable we found with all of the extras it included! We booked our wedding here back in December after viewing 9 other venues and knew immediately this was the one! Tina has been absolutely fantastic so far with communication and accommodations. I also attended a free Bridal Show here, back in March, with some of my bridesmaids & family. It was gorgeous and so helpful (and had some great precautions set up for covid!) I can't wait to marry my favorite human at this beautiful place in June of 2022. I'll be sure to come back after to add to my review once our big day is over!

Everything about this place was incredible. Over a year later and we still receive compliments. Vanessa was the best. She answered all of my questions (including my crazy bride questions) within MINUTES of emailing her. She even provided her personal cell number in order to keep my nerves at bay as we got closer. She was there throughout my day coordinating everything but was never in the way and was definitely "behind the scenes". She deserves a LOT of credit for how flawless my wedding was. Hidden Hollow also provided linens, tables and chairs, and SO many decorations. We saved thousands by using their supplies. They have kept things that previous brides have left which is a huge help. The dressing rooms they provide were incredible. A lot of room, the ability to go outside without anyone seeing you, and beautifully decorated for perfect "getting ready" pictures. Honestly, I still to this day am shocked for how much we got and how little we spent. We live on the south side of Indianapolis and I can pretty much guarantee you will NOT get half of what Hidden Hollow offers for anywhere near their price in Indianapolis. I can't say enough about Hidden Hollow and RAVE about them to every Indy bride I come across. Highly highly recommend. Thanks Hidden Hollow for making my wedding what it was!

We hired Erika for our destination wedding in Las Vegas, NV over Labor Day weekend. My husband and…read moreI both went to Purdue in West Lafayette, IN and chose Erika to do our engagement photos. Erika and her husband Austin made us feel very comfortable while taking photos around campus. They were patient with us and had a lot of good ideas about posing and good feedback to make us feel more comfortable. She is very reasonably priced, got our photos to us in a timely manner and while very professional, also friendly. One of my favorite things about Erika is that she is calm and confident, this helped calm my nerves and to trust her. While looking for a wedding photographer in Vegas we just could not find anyone that had the quality of Erika while offering so much. Luckily, Erika and Austin were willing to join us in Vegas for our special day! We could not be happier with their work. They photographed our rehearsal dinner and showed up at noon the day of the wedding and spent all day with us up until the wedding and through the reception. My family loved having them around and appreciated how they put everyone at ease. Erika was always available through email or phone calls especially with helping me put together a timeline for the day of the wedding. She also helped me decide on whether or not we should do a 'first look' (I'm SO glad we did!). She has a wide variety of packages so that you can decide what is best for you. I think having a photographer that you can trust to take the right photos and to do what was discussed the day before the wedding is SO important. The actual day of the wedding there are too many other things going on to make sure the photographer is doing what they are supposed to and Erika is very competent and makes a GREAT team with her husband. We also appreciate Erika's efforts to keep up with technology. She has online proofing for all of the guests at the wedding so that they can order prints or other products from her. She also just started designing apps for couples. The app is like having a wallet of photos so you can show off the wedding pictures whenever you want. My mom loves this so she can show the pictures to everyone on her ipad and iphone. It makes it super convenient so that friends and family can view the photos while on the go. We can't say enough about Erika Brown Photography, this is by far one of our best decisions regarding the wedding. I would highly recommend using her!

Let me talk about the food....or the smell of the smoked meats....I felt like I was floating in culinary heaven! Our menu consisted of their Pulled smoked pork, pulled smoked chicken, smoked mac-n-cheese, coleslaw, potato salad and they even custom created smoked stuffed portabella mushrooms for a few vegetarians. Also provided drinks - incredible iced tea and some tasty home made lemonade!! Many who attended (about 150 people) are still writing me to inquire about this company and saying hands down it is some of the best smoked meat they have ever had - without the sauce even ((years ago I learned from the most amazing man Cletus on the backside of a smokehouse bbq restaurant in Charleston, SC that the way to tell good bbq was to taste the meat without sauce - that is what sets your tastebuds exploding and you know what....Sir Cletus was RIGHT). This outstanding group of people literally took the pressure off this hostess as they managed everything - all the set up, serving, fielding hundreds of inquiries about their delicious tasty morsels as well as helped tear down. The potato salad is an absolute must - I know I know....HOW is any potato salad different? Trust me on this - Jodi's recipe (which is guarded in a vault) is so unique, creamy and delicious you will crave it. The smoked mac-n-cheese - will send your tastebuds dancing. Coleslaw is so fresh it crunches as you take that first bite - soooooo cold and creamy. The stuffed portabella mushroom that Jodi said she just "invented" - well let me tell you I have begged her for the recipe as I crave that to this day (no luck - again recipe under the vault). Jodi & John Curtis - the owners of Whiskey Whiskers BBQ will become family to you....this isn't your standard "catering" company - nope - they are personable and their passion, kindness, willing to educate those of us who only dream to be at their level....well listen, they are good good good people and if you are lucky enough to attend one of their events, hire them on your own (trust me we will be having them back many times) or blessed enough with simply meeting them....your life is richer for it! OH and those tastebuds.....they will thank you!!!
