This is the second time my husband has ordered roses from this florist. Last year they drooped within 24 hours. They made good on the order by delivering new flowers. This year he ordered roses to be delivered on Valentines Day. The bouquet delivered was not the one he ordered...no problem. The problem is that they started drooping within three days. I've received roses many times over the years. They always last at least a week and usually more. This was a disappointment as this is the SECOND time this has happened from this florist. I picked this florist for the excellent reviews. They were an upscale area florist, not a random on line florist. I upgraded to the premium so it would be extra special. I have posted the pictures of what I ordered vs what was sent. When I called I spoke to the owner Matt. I explained I was not disputing the actual flowers, they were there and lovely, but I was very disappointed in the design and arrangement. I felt there was NO design. The original was a beautiful round arrangement in a roundish bowl and this looked like a $20 supermarket bouquet in a dollar store vase. His response was they gave me everything in the picture and it had to be a taller vase for the premium. It did not show that in the photo. He said his wife is a "master designer". He kept saying I had all the flowers and he even gave me extra. I informed him he "gave" me nothing..I paid for the "extra" His wife was in the background saying how she did what I ordered. I had to tell him 3 or 4 times I was not disputing the flowers, they were all there, but the actual design, of which there was none. He said I had to give it a few days to open and I could not tell how beautiful it was from a iphone picture. I said I don't send flowers to look good a few days from now..I want the receipient to be wowed when they receive them. Needless to say there was no customer service, no acknowledgement for my dissatisfaction,.. just defensive. I will NEVER use them again or recommend them. I sent my mom a beautiful orchid and succulent for her birthday. Within 3 weeks the leaves were yellow and by the following week the stem was turning yellow as well. When my mom called the florist to talk about the plant she was met with defensiveness because so much time had passed. When she took it to a friend involved with The Orchid Society, they took it apart and discovered that it had rot. I'm sure it could be argued that my mom ruined the plant, but as a life long green thumb this isn't the case. The owner told her when he delivered the plant that it had just been watered and not to water for a week. Mom slowly added a little water but it had been damp so she didn't add much. It had obviously been overwatered before delivery. Bottom line- owner wouldn't take any responsibility and was so rude when mom called. Too bad- I thought I had found a great local florist that is a small business. Not any more. read more

Okay, let's just start by saying that Ashley's was AMAZING and completely surpassed my expectations. The story: It was my last day visiting a family member in Delray Beach and I needed to go to Orlando and was running a good hour late already, but I needed flowers - quickly. I wanted an arrangement, though I would have settled for an interesting bouquet. The first florist I stopped into had nearly nothing but vases, I was confused. He was working on some lovely arrangements in the back, but we had a 15 minute conversation about how it would take 20 minutes to do his best and how he was an artist. Having worked in the art world for 12 years, I completely respect the concept, I am from NY and live in Boston, and I am not a patient person by nature. I left, but also found that many of the florists had nothing and made stuff according to what you liked - which takes time. Grrr. By the time I got to Ashley's, I had realized that this was not going to be a quick fix. I happened by it accidentally. I went in and was truly skeptical. There were vases everywhere, and very few flowers. (Or so I thought.) I looked around, selected a short narrow vase, and pointed to some crazy green puffs and some orange puffs à la Lorax, and then some tall standing blue and white flowers (stalk-like - sorry, I don't really know the names of flowers). And then I thought that some white lilies would be good for the person I was giving it to, who is my step-grandmother. But I wanted it to be cool and modern and not old-lady-like. Ashley (or I think it was Ashley - an attractive blond woman) told me she thought she could do something with that. I also asked if she could put leaves around the stems, so they didn't show. She knew just what I was talking about. (I am a snob, as in Boston we have Winston's flowers, who make really amazing arrangements). Well, I decided to go get a polish change in the interim, and when I got back. Wow. I was truly blown away. I really wish I had a photo of what she did, because it was FANTASTIC. It really exceeded all expectations. It was tasteful, modern, whimsical, and attractive. Best of all, it really made a statement. My step-grandmother was SO PLEASED. I had asked for "whimsical" but "elegant," and I got exactly that. By the way, you can see that I rarely actually sit down to write reviews, but this place was absolutely worth it. I will most definitely use Ashley's again, though probably calling in from the northeast. Update: they have moved, but I found them! 2016 got another amazing bouquet and just loved it!!! Ashley's is the best! I wanted to send a plant to an ailing friend in Delray Beach. I live in New Jersey and am not familiary with florists in Delray Beach. So I went on Yelp and found Ashley's. The gentleman who helped me said he could deliver a plant to my friend the same day I requested which was on a Saturday. That pleasantly surprised me! When my friend received the orchid plant she was overwhelmed with joy because the plant was so beautiful. She phoned me immediately to thank me.
