I had purchased furniture at Ashley a couple months ago. It was challenging finding a salesperson to help me. Once I did, he was great and my purchase was fine. They try to add on warranties and protections, but you can easily decline if you like. Then they try to add on delivery and installation fees too, and you can decline those too. The delivery people will try to charge you again, and it's your choice how you handle that. To me, the extra costs were excessive and unnecessary. When I was ready to buy more furniture a couple months later, I contacted the same salesperson that helped me before. I purchased more furniture and he noted I didn't purchase the extra warranties and protections last time, and confirmed I didn't want them this time either. So I was surprised to see the emailed invoice included those extra charges. When I texted him about it I received no reply. I tried 3 times over two days and no response. I went to the Ashley website and chatted with customer service. They told me I should contact my salesperson. I explained that I had, with no response. They said they would send him an email and a correction would be made in 24-48 hours. That was not a sufficient response for me. They charged me immediately for services I specifically confirmed I did not want. If they couldn't immediately credit me for those charges, they could cancel the order - no need to deliver it. They told me to call the store for faster service and gave me the number. I called and spoke to someone who said the salesperson that took my order was busy with a customer. I asked to speak with a manager and was told the person that took my order was the only one that could make the correction, and he was busy with a customer. Apparently he was so busy with customers for 2 days he couldn't respond to my text messages. I was not connected to a manager and once again told he would call me back when he was available. Magically after my call he texted me back saying he would take care of it. I thanked him for the reply and asked him to confirm when the credit was completed. He replied "Done". No explanation or apology. I received an email showing the credit, so allowed the delivery. The delivery guy was awesome - so polite and helpful. However, charging people for services they don't want and making it difficult to get it corrected felt super shady. I take a dim view of businesses that operate this way and won't be making any further purchases from Ashley Furniture. Buyer Beware. read more

Failed to arrive, although I sat and waited all day, only to discover that it was booked in to arrive in 2 weeks time. There are plenty of negative reviews for this Wellington Mall location that are pretty detailed, I will try and keep this brief. The salesperson and the initial purchase experience was great! We've always had positive experiences with Ashley Furniture and they were our first choice when we needed a new couch. We were in and out quickly and were excited about receiving our couch within the next 3 days. That's about where everything started going downhill. We received delivery as scheduled for the wrong couch configuration. Mistakes happen, so we scheduled again. Second delivery was the identical to the first, even the same delivery guys couldn't believe it was wrong once again. Upon trying to schedule a third delivery through the manager Weston, we had enough and decided to cancel. Wes (a different person than Weston) hung up on my wife which I'm guessing is not in the employee handbook. We paid with a credit card that could have been issued a credit but instead they decided to mail us a check that arrived 10 days later. Calls to their "customer support" line told us the credit was going back to the card, so either they don't have a clue or read from a script just to get you off the phone. Finally, when we received the refund check and it was $60 short. Will try to revolve this through their corporate office but somehow my expectations for anything more than just canned excuses and more finger pointing are pretty low. Public beware! Their warranty is one lie after the next. I purchased an expensive sectional, the reason why we bought it, it was because they sell it as a special material that doesn't rip...They said that if stains or rips and it wasn't able to be removed with the product we were given, they will send a professional to clean and fix it and if they couldn't fix it, they will replace it. 100% a lie. They do not do that, they sent an extremely rude person that walk in and look at the couch and said it was in horrible conditions and that couldn't be fixed. And it wasn't going to be covered. It's is less than a year of purchasing the couch and it's almost paid off at this point because I've been making extra payments,!not only what it isn't required. After arguing over and over with them they said they will send me new covers. I only got some of the covers. Please do yourself a favor and buy anywhere else. Have had several issues after purchasing a large chair, ottoman and couch through their Wellington showroom. In the space of about 10 months, I have had the couch replaced twice, and the ottoman once. So far, so good on the chair. I want to take a moment however, to give a shout out to their social media/customer care dept. They saw a negative post I had and reached out. They were very proactive to getting things squared away. This last replacement was the least painless. I sent an email out, spoke to Mandy on the phone, sent some picture in and they replaced the couch. Their social media dept is on the ball. I wish their furniture was built better. 3-6 months for a couch is unacceptable, and we didn't buy on the cheap. 5-stars for their customer care this time, 1-star for the quality of the product they sell. read more

Buyers beware. We'd like to give a zero rating ! We purchased a sectional from Ashley and bought a 5 year service contract. Within a three year period we called to report that the couch did not wear well. We have no children or animals. The entire couch frayed. It was a beige linen Type fabric. Customer service would not file a claim because of this. However if we lied or spilled wine over the entire couch maybe we'd be protected. Really?! Ashley uses inferior products. After waiting 6 weeks on my bed. This is what I find when I open my nightstand. I honestly do not understand this company. Why do I have to find a broken item constantly? So what how long is it supposed to take me to have a full room set. And now I have to go stay on the line for hours to be able to reach someone to switch my nightstand. Follow-up: 11/27/17. I have had to have 3 more reorders. 1st-leather imperfection, 2nd-damage to recliner controls, 3rd- tear in leather. After all this, I reselected an entirely different sofa. More expensive, but at this point... I am pleased so far (its only been a few hours), but I feel there should have been some sort of compensation for having to go through all of this for all this time (ex:free delivery or something!). Having to go back to the store several times, times having to talk to customer service, wasting 4 days waiting on delivery. Just not quality service. Nothing like having the salesman tell you a protection plan covers any accidents or damage only to find out you need to know the exact moment and cause of the stain. If you answer the questions wrong from the TECH then you are screwed. You are also(via text) told read the fine print so you're more educated. Didn't know I had to read fine print prior to entering the store to make sure my Salesperson isn't lying to me. Please, let me spare you the hassle. First of all, Ashley is a dishonest company. The pricing is incorrect. I wanted to buy a dresser that was marked $399. Once you are sitting at the purchase table in the center of the store, they inform you that there is a $59.99 delivery fee. I wanted to pick up the dresser from the store and they said you would have to drive to the warehouse, 50 miles away to do so otherwise the delivery fee is non negotiable. If I can not pick up merchandise at the store I buy it from, shouldn't that fee be listed on the price tag? I sent a complaint to the customer service email and received a generic response saying each store is owned separately and there is nothing they can do. The dresser was delivered today. I have looked at my call log on my cell phone, and they have called me 8 TIMES. 4 different people to confirm delivery. 4 automated calls after to make sure I received it and if I was happy. No, I'm not happy and quit calling me! I will never buy from this deceiving company again, and neither should you. Please take your hard earned money somewhere else. There you go Ashley furniture, I hope I am losing you business since you don't care whether customers are happy or not. Sales person was nice enough- I came in tried 3 or 4 mattresses and made a purchase for about $1200 for a mattress and base. I also paid for mattress removal. The first delivery people came and dumped my mattress and ran out of my house leaving the front door open at which time my toddler ran into the street. They didn't even announce they were leaving! Would absolutely fire those people. What's more was that they refused to haul away my old mattress saying they don't have a cover for it. Umm what?? It's in my order- you haul away. Never had this much of a problem w any other delivery service. Furthermore my base was not available until a month and a half later. When those delivery people got there they sighed bc the bed was already up and we had a mattress on. Yea we do- I've been waiting on the base for over 6 weeks. Where were we suppose to sleep? They took the mattress off, put the base on and placed the mattress back on top and fled out of the house. Didn't take the base downstairs, didn't haul away the base or the old mattress. I ran after them asking why they didn't take my mattress - I'm suppose to get haul away. They shouted that there's no room on their truck and someone else should have taken it away. read more

Part 1 As I write this, I struggle with wasting any more of my time on my Ashley Furniture/City Furniture experience but I cannot in good conscience remain silent. Spoiler alert: I was sold furniture that was never delivered to me. Customer service was terrible and made a series of promises which nobody kept. Now I'm going to get into the details and depict the timeline of events that transpired, for those of you interested in continuing to read. For those of you who stop here, the conclusion is don't spend a dollar of your money or a moment of your time with Ashley or City. On September 3rd, my wife and I visited the Ashley Furniture HomeStore located at 10312 West Forest Hill Blvd, Wellington FL 33414. We were immediately greeted by Delaney Thomas. Delaney introduced herself and offered her assistance. My wife and I stated that we were going to look around and let her know if/when we needed help. After about an hour of walking throughout the store, carefully looking at each dining room table, sitting in each chair, spending our time making a decision, we found our new dinning room table! We called Delaney over and she was happy to write up our order. As I completed the credit application for the financing offered through Ashley, my wife picked out accessories to match our new set. Now we had a dining room table selected, 6 side chairs, 2 arm chairs, a matching buffet, a rug, lamps, vases; everything we needed to complete our dining room. While checking us out (which took another hour), Delaney explained that everything was available to be delivered right away except for the table and 6 chairs; she said they were all on backorder and would not be available for 2 weeks. "No problem", we said; we've waiting this long, what's another couple of weeks. We requested, however, for everything to be delivered at once. Simple enough so far, right? Well we certainly thought so. Fast forward 2 weeks later, delivery date has arrived! Floors are cleaned, furniture is moved, everything is ready! As the delivery man comes in with the first item, I mention something about where the table will go. The response is "Table? I don't have a table on this truck...all I have is 2 chairs, a buffet and a rug". And so it begins. While the other items were still being delivered, I called Ashely and got a manager named Bryan Murphy. Bryan explained that the table and chairs were still on backorder and had an anticipated delivery date of October 26th. At this point, I'm looking at 2 chairs, a buffet, a rug and an angry wife in my dining room. Bryan said that while I could cancel the order, he would be able to see something in the system the next day that he could not see now that may offer a delivery date sooner. It sounded like a line of BS to me but I said okay, I'll play ball; leave the furniture and I'll see what happens tomorrow. Let's keep in mind for a moment, with a simple phone call explaining the delay in delivery of the table and chairs, I would have said no problem; hold everything until the table is ready. But because of a lack of communication, I now had a partial delivery and a difficult decision to make. Surprisingly, Bryan never called. When I called the next day, I was told that the date of October 26th stands and that is the soonest I'd get the table. My wife said cancel everything. At this point, I speak to another manager by the name of Jerry. I don't have Jerry's last name but it is my understanding he's the manager of the Vero store (not sure how/why I was speaking with him). Jerry was apologetic, took accountability and was able to honor a new online price advertised, $600 less than what I paid. He also offered to waive the $175 deliver fee. Now I'm saving almost $1,000 from my original purchase price so I decided to keep the partial delivery and wait another month for the rest of my furniture. read more

Let me start by saying the delivery team from this store SUCKS! When there is an imperfection in the furniture they try to blame it on the the make of the furniture. I had a white dining room table delivered with around 10 red dots on them and they tell you it's the distressed look. I know what it's suppose to look like. Two chairs had cracks down the legs that support the weight and they tell you that nothing is wrong with it. The only reason for 3 stars is I like the sales person who helped us, and like the furniture. I will be hesitant to order from them again. This is the second incident I had with their delivery guys. The first one almost lead to punches. Be ready to deal with crap when you look foward to your furniture being delivered and an argumentative idiot shows up to your house. You been warned. read more

Very disappointed, horrible customer service. I bought a bedroom set and a dinning room set, paid the extended warranty and since I moved out of state, they will not help me. Even though there is a Ashley up here where I live, FL is still not willing to help me, not willing to refund the insurance like they say. They offered me to wait out my three years to give me a gift card that is only good in Florida knowing I no longer live there. The gift card is only good for there store in Florida not even on line. She was very patient in helping me find the perfect pieces for me. The customer service for this company, along with City Furniture - as Ashley is under City here in south Florida, is terrible. The delivery crew was hours late, they damaged the furniture, they assembled the furniture incorrectly, and they left a bunch of their garbage in my driveway. They were clearly more concerned about getting home than doing their jobs. They offered to cover up the damage with a magic marker. Instead I opted to have a repair tech come out, but Ashley/City Furniture doesn't have one available for a month! Never again! read more

I visited Ashley Furniture on October 31 I was just passing thru with no intention of buying anything but I was greeted by Fred one of the Sales Associate who was very polite and welcoming. I was looking at a nightstand that caught my eye, although I was not shopping for anything I was just passing thru, I was in the market for a nightstand for my sons room. I saw this nice piece and he immediately helped me and I tried to negotiate the price even though the price on it was a steal. He still tried and spoke to His manager who was also very pleasant and warm. He immediately handled the transaction with professionalism. He also offered to bring it to my car. Between him and his manger Bryan they both loaded the nightstand to my car. Not to mention I was with my son and they even entertained him while I was then looking for more furniture for my other bedrooms. I will definitely be returning back to Ashley to get my dresser and nightstand for my Master Bedroom and I will ask for Fred. read more
