Very poor customer service. They acted like they didn't care if they sold anything or not. I ordered 2 loveseats & a recliner ( Black Friday Sale ) I've never heard from them. I called 5 weeks ago was told it would be at the warehouse Jan. 24. I just now called again was told it should be in Feb. 24. I told the person to cancel my order. Awful customer service from the cooperate number i have been trying since July to get someone to come out and fix my couch that broke. I went into the store and spoke with the manager and he had a girl look up our account and she put a note in and said they would call us for sure the next day. Two weeks later no call and still have not fixed our couch. Ive tried calling again. At this point i want to return the couch and get a full refund. I'm so disappointed it wasn't even 6 months old when it broke on us and a part we don't really sit on much. They have such cute stuff and we wanted to buy another piece for the sectional couch and a dining room table from Ashely but we were waiting to see how the customer service played out. I paid for a couch in March. We were told delivery would be June 27th I called close to that date and was told july 5th. Then july 12th then july 28th now I am being told September and that they have no pieces of the sectional where before they said they had all but 2 pieces. This company doesn't even deserve a star. 10/15/2020 I am very upset with the customer service and unauthorized fees I have received from your company. I have purchased a table, four bar/table stools and a recliner from your store in Terre Haute, IN. These were all delivered together and I was upset that I was charged for two delivery fees... just to now realize that I was charged for THREE. Please see enclosed paperwork. I was only delivered to ONE time and being charged for THREE DELIVERY FEES IS OUTRAGEOUS. I'm not sure why two of the barstools were put on a separate invoice? Was this so that you could charge me another delivery fee? I have tried to contact your company by phone many times. I have reached out to my salesman Nick Hurst on his personal cell phone number that I was given as well. I have also contacted your company via email and received reply that you are no longer using email as a form of communication. I reached out by "chat" online on 08/06/2020. This conversation is also enclosed. I was told by a "Carmen" that I would be receiving a check in the mail refunding ONLY ONE of the THREE delivery charges. As of today, October 15, 2020, I have still not received the refund check from your company. VERY FRUSTRATED! I ordered a whole bed set and paid in full. A few days later they randomly charge my card more. I try to online chat, can't get anyone to chat with me. I obviously can't go in because of COVID-19. I email, and still have not heard back. I have called every single day and wait forever and cannot get through to anyone. I finally did today, they answered and hung up on me. This is fraud and I guess I will go to my bank now to get my money back that they stole. Absolutely terrible! Run away! Ordered loveseat on March 22 and was told it would be deliverd in May. Called them on May 1 and was told that loveseat may not be ready for delivery until DECEMBER! I cancelled the order and requested refund. Was told my refund would be processed within 10 days. it wasn't. I called again on May 28, was told cancellation was in the system but refund was not processed. Was told that the request was "escalated" and I should get a refund within 24 hours and get a call confirming. NO CALL and NO REFUND! Now June and I'm still trying to get my money back! I ordered a king size mattress set and then tried to save money, canceled, and bought from Value City. What a mistake. Value City seems to cut corners and the mattress is just off enough that no sheets fit snugly. Knowing people that bought from Ashley, that do not have this issue, I feel I got just what i ordered. Low quality, cheap mattress. I'm not even sure it was the style I ordered. . I'm sorry I ever canceled my order . If you have to choose, spend a little more and get quality furniture . On the 28th of Nov., I spent over $5000 at this store and promised delivery on the 4th of Dec.. 2 days later they called and said, ain't gonna happen. Furniture delivered on the 9th of Dec... The recliner arrived damaged. Called them back and they would send out a repairman (he arrived 2 hours late) on the 16th.. The repairman said the chair can't be fixed. Didn't hear back from Ashley's for 4 days, so I called them to see what was going on? They told me I would get a new chair on the 9th of January. But on the 8th of January, I got a text saying the chair did not arrive in the warehouse, so it would be January 30th before I got a new recliner. Then today January 9th I got a text saying your recliner would be there in 30 minutes, WTF? Chair arrived.... Never going back to Ashley's read more

When we retired last year from Las Vegas to Indiana. , we bought our new furniture from Ashley Furniture in Terre Haute. One of our recliners leans.to one side. We were told they would come and fix it. That didn't happen. We went there again to buy our dining room furniture. We decided to buy it for our Christmas to each other. The table was delivered. A couple of days later we decided it was time to put our table together. We find out we have no hardware to put the table together. That was the first of December. We still don't have the hardware. We have called and called. Today we called to find out it's back ordered and won't be shipped until the third week in January. I found this table and chairs online. Ashley said not to buy it online because we would have parts missing. Well Ashley did to us what they accused Amazon would do to us. They have a terrible return and their furniture isn't guaranteed. But Amazon has a wonderful guarantee. We should have stayed with them. read more

We have been waiting for our couch since June! Understand Covid delays. However, do not call and schedule delivery one day and then cancel the same day! The customer service at this store was fine until it came to time to check out. I bought 2 lamps which are to be shipped to me. I am going to assume at this point that all will go well with the shipment. I have a very large issue with the store policy. I paid for my items with a credit card that had my name on it. I gave my address to have the items shipped. Then, I was asked for my drivers license, that match both the name on the credit card and the address I gave for shipment. The next thing I know, they are making a copy of my credit card. The clerk said that she didn't make the copy when I asked for her not to, but it is store policy for them to do so. That will be the last time I go in this store in the world of identity theft. I have no way of knowing if she scanned in my information before I asked them not to. They need to catch up with the world of finding a better way than saving information from people that have everything matching. I'm sure every single person that ever works for Ashley is honest, but it only takes one to steel identities when they have so much of your information at their fingertips. read more

Finally on July 28th, 2 months after ordering, I got a 3rd of the couch delivered with no set date as to when the rest would show up. I sent it all back. 0 stars if I could! Don't buy anything from Ashley Furniture! We bought a couch and love seat. Paid in full for the couch and financed the love seat. they said would have order the couch. They said they had the love seat in stock and could deliver it right away I said I wanted them delivered at the same time. Was told it would be 2-3 weeks, this was July 17th On July 20th we get a voicemail saying it was pushed back to September 3rd. On 9-20 II tried to call, got their voice mail after a very long wait, left call back number, no return call! Went to store they said it was pushed to 10-3. On 10-3 they deliver the love seat and said the couch would be 10-28. Now they did this because they don't get paid by the loan company until product is excepted! we had gotten rid of our old furniture so we excepted it. I looked great but when I sat on it the seat was sewn in with one side on the frame and the other on the springs, so you sat leaning to one side! two days latter we get another voicemail say there would be another delay on the couch! I go to the store and cancel the couch get a refund and tell them I want the to return the love seat. I was told it would be 72 hours. Six days latter I go to the store and the manager says all he can do is send an email to Corp. After 20 minute of me yelling, running customers off and telling them to read Yelp reviews before they buy anything (I wish we had) I told the manager either give me a written statement that I owe nothing on the order number and that the finance contract was void or I would be there every day all! He gave me the written statement LOL! Got home and had a phone call saying they would pick up the love seat in a week, and that I would not be allowed back in the store LOL! Lacie and management provided great customer service at Ashley Furniture in Terre Haute! My wife and I were in search of a new mattress, which unknowingly to me was a more complicated process than assumed. The sale associate, Lacie, was extremely helpful in our decision making process. She was not overbearing, nor did she hound us throughout the store, as some sale people are prone to do. When asked, she provided useful information on each mattress, which helped clarify our needs. She was also conscientious of our budget and helped us get the best product for our dollar--thank you! I must also note that my wife and I arrived at the store near closing time, but Lacie never made us feel rushed to make a decision. Never ever buy from here. My husband and I purchased a bedroom set on June 30, 2020. We were told that delivery was scheduled for 8/1/2020. As that date approached I got a call telling me they needed to reschedule for 8/4/20 but the foot board would not be done until 8/11/2020. I told them to just bring it all on 8/11 since you can't put the bed together without the foot board. As that date approached I got a text stating that my delivery was set for 8/10. I called and asked what was going on since I had scheduled it for 8/11 and was told foot board wouldn't be ready until then. This person then told me that it wouldn't be ready until the 15th. I expressed my frustration with them and she told me that she was putting in a ticket for it to be put on rush and that once that ticket was opened someone would call me within 24 hours. Well a week passed and on 8/13 I called them. She also told me that they just scheduled the appointments and had no control over anything else. She would not let me speak to her supervisor. And each of these calls I was on hold for at least 20 minutes before someone would answer. This person told me that there was no record of anyone putting in a ticket and didn't even know what that was. She told me that she did not have a supervisor and that she was as high up as I could go. Also told me that my order was not ready and would not deliver on the 15th. In between all of these calls I had tried to reach the store and left messages to call me back and no one would answer or call me back. After talking to this last person I found my sales persons email. I emailed her and she did reply and said that she was showing product would be in to their local warehouse on the 14th but would get with someone to confirm that. While waiting that day and the next I got an email asking me to choose the 19th, 20th or 21st for delivery. I emailed my sales person and told her that. She told me that she was showing order now would not be ready until the 19th. I am tired of being lied to and have heard nothing but bad things on FB group Ashley furniture complaints advocacy and resolution group. At this point I don't trust them to honor a warranty even if they delivered so I canceled my order. I don't know if and when I will get my refund. If not I will dispute charges with my bank. read more

I have been looking for a kitchen buffet/server for over 6 months and I can't find one I liked. However I walked right in and started looking around and Sydney came to ask what I was looking for. I told her my design ideas and what I needed and she said keep browsing and let me look and get some suggestions. Low and behold she found exactly what I was wanting and the color was perfect! He set up our delivery date and said they would e-mail us with times for delivery and that is exactly what they did. I ordered Furniture in March of 2020. It was suppose to be delivered the first week of June. Half of my furniture was delivered and when i tried calling, i couldn't get into contact to anyone at the store to find out information on my order. Every time I call it sends me to an automated message and the phone just rings and the call eventually drops. I live about an hour from Terre Haute and had to drive there every time to get information. I asked them why no one answers and they always say "our phones are down". The other half of my order was suppose to get delivered 3 times and never did, due to shipping and warehouse issues. On the last time my order was suppose to be shipped, Ashley Furniture sent me a text saying your order is being delivered this week. Then we waited all day for the shipment the date the text read and it NEVER came. We never got notified that it wouldn't be coming. So to get any information on our order and had to drive back to Terre Haute once again. It seems like every time they said our order would be delivered, they would call the day before an say it would only be one item from our order. Do NOT shop here!!! Save yourself the time and effort. I ordered furniture from Ashley home store in May. I explained to the sales person I was hesitant to purchase from Ashley because they have a horrible reputation of not delivering furniture on time. The salesperson, Nicholas Hurst, assured me all my items would be available and delivered at the end of June. A delivery date was scheduled however my items did not arrive. I was given no update that anything had changed. I contacted the Terre Haute Ashley HomeStore and asked to speak to a manager who was apparently busy so I left my contact information. I never received a return call. I contacted the number on my receipt and spoke to someone at what I assume was some sort of call center. This person informed me a partial delivery date was scheduled for the following Friday. I text the chat platform I received after my purchase to explain my frustration since I never received a call back from the manager. The chat platform explained my thousands of dollars worth of furniture would be delivered in mid-August. No partial delivery was ever scheduled apparently. I will never purchase anything from Ashley HomeStore again. read more

I have been here twice to purchase furniture and both times the process was relatively painless. We went in knowing what we wanted and we did not feel pressure to buy anything outside of our price range. The staff seemed to be friendly as well. Without naming names, we had major issues with another furniture store in Terre Haute. We ordered kitchen chairs and after 15 weeks they still have not arrived and after making several calls to the store, management has yet to call us back. On the other hand, on both occasions that we ordered furniture from Ashley, our furniture was delivered within a couple of days. This store is horrible. The customer service is horrible and forget trying to get any issues resolved. I purchased a mattress from them and during the 90-day trial decided to exchange it. The mattress I picked for exchange was ~$1000 less but nothing was mentioned about losing the difference in the mattress. They simply changed the price on the replacement mattress and I called another store to confirm price and discovered it was a significant amount less. They refuse to refund my money, they refuse to give me store credit despite the charge is already on my credit card. I have been dealing with this exchange process for close to 3 months. We purchased this back in august. purchased a right arm electric reclining chair, reclining (non electric) center, and an electric reclining chaise. They sent every piece by itself. so when we received the first piece, the electric chair, we knew it worked electrically so we were happy. when we received the center reclining seat, we realized something was wrong with not only that but also our first seat. the first seat's cushion was sewn crooked and that left a large gap in between the seats. the second chair we didn't test out until 2 weeks later when my husband and i had time to watch a movie. he lifted it up and it went up fine, but when we lowered it, it wouldn't close. we called and they said they would send out a service guy 30 days later. before the service guy came out, they delivered the chaise. right away we tried out the electrical part and the back wouldn't go all the way up because the cushion was catching on the other piece. we called them immediately and they said they would replace it. the service guy came and said the center is broke. he also said the cushion on the first chair is wrong. they ordered the center's replacement part and it came in wrong. then they had to order ANOTHER one and it came. they also ordered the parts for the first piece. they replaced the chaise but its DOING THE SAME THING and it's (10 inches) shorter than the other one. they somehow "lost" the fact that we have called (this happened several times). we are BEYOND done with this couch. it's been 3 months and over $4k that we are paying for and we can't truly enjoy using the couch. we asked that they would take the whole couch and send a new WHOLE COUCH at one time MAKING SURE that it was 100% ok, but they wouldn't do that. we don't know what else to do. what's sad is that we have plenty of open credit that we could buy tons more but we will NOT be doing that. I bought a bed at Ashley in July, which included a gift card worth six monthly payments, but I haven't received it yet. The FIRST time I had to drive into town where I made the purchase (no one would answer the phone there or at other customer service numbers for Ashley stores), the manager admitted that there was an error on their part and she thought she corrected it. However, after several weeks waiting for the gift card, I had to go BACK to the store and talk to the manager again. This time she didn't even bother trying to help me. In fact, she just gave me the phone number and email address and told me I have to fix the problem, Ashley created. I asked for the corporate number, district number and her manager's number, but she refused to give me any more information or help in any way. I won't ever purchase anything at Ashley furniture because of the TERRIBLE customer service. Once they get your money, Ashley Furniture doesn't want anything more to do with their customers.
