I will NOT return to this store for a purchase due to the sale-man, not so much the selection…read more While the prices weren't very reasonable for the low end furniture they were selling, they were willing to work/haggle with you to get a sale. I typically like this in a place. But the loss of business happened because the sales-man flat out lied to my face! After not finding a dinette I was interested in on their floor, the sales guy said they could order from a provider and still cut me a good deal. I figured that would be great so I flipped through some catalogs he showed me for a bit before finally settling on a nice 5 piece dinette. He did his quick research and returned with a price of $349.99 for the table. I was like, GREAT way better than the same table at competitors, I'll be back to purchase!! I was back in the store the very next day, worked with the same guy, and said I was ready to purchase. As he wrote up the Bill of Sale, he said $399.99. I stopped him and said that was the original price he gave me, and asked if that was after delivery/tax. No, that's the price of the table, then proceeded to say that it was actually over $400, but they discounted it to be less than $400 to help me out. Though, he never said exactly what the magical 400 dollar amount was. I said no thank you and left... having already been quoted $399.99 as the RETAIL price (in store) from local completion (Ashley's) and (though a bit further away) Value City Furniture in Columbia. He lied about the actual cost, and that I was given a discount at all to HELP me out. I can't stand being lied to just to make a deal (dealt with a lot of shady car sales men). Walked out, and haven't returned... nor will I.

Apparently the store must be under new management. The selection and quality is much better than it…read moreused to be. Still doesnt seem like they get much business and not having enough employees still seems to still be an issue. I will say, once the salesman finally made it to us across the huge warehouse floor, he was super helpful and willing to haggle. Definetly the cheapest queen set I found in Sumter.

Searched and searched for the perfect dining table. Found a beautiful one online and went to check…read moreit out in store - only the counter height was available to look at but was enough to sell me on the set. Also purchased matching counter height chairs for my kitchen bar. Great transaction experience. Delivery fee is very reasonable and the two gentlemen set it up quickly and carefully. The set is beautiful and very sturdy.

My first idea that I wouldn't like the deals was when I asked if they offered military discounts, and was told "no". This isn't a deal breaker for me, having lived in Boston area for years with high priced locations, military wasn't always catered to, and I'm okay with that. But then most places are willing to negotiate in SOME instances. (Not All) Badcock wasn't willing to make ANY movement in price to close a deal. I was EXTREMLY interested in a table they offered. A 7 piece pub height dinette that was very nice, priced at $639.99, a little over the budget I had planned. So, knowing I had to tack on taxes AND delivery before I could even purchase (so an increase in price), I decided to try and work a deal. Especially since I was dealing directly in cash. -- I learned in the Boston area that credit/debit has a 'usage fee' attached to it - and of course financing is in store, so no negotiation terms generally on either of those. But cash is easy to work with. Unfortunately the lady, who went an talked to the sales manager?, said that was the best possible prices (639) since it wasn't on sale right now. Meaning it was, or would be. I commented that if we can negotiate a sale price, we can sale CASH now. I didn't even state a price, I was trying to get the total bill (after delivery and taxes) below $700. Still a no go. I ended up walking away, but said "I can't believe you're more willing to take a 'loss' at a Sale price then discount now at a promised profit when I have the money on me ready to buy!" She didn't say anything but did give a blank stare like she couldn't do the math. I left, ended up buying a nearly identical table (actually a better brand!) at $60 UNDER Badcock's price elsewhere, for the same table and 6 chairs. (Store in another review) Needless to say I won't be returning to this store for future furniture purchases (which will be a lot since I need to stock a new home). Sellers seem to forget these days that a deal/good business equals return/repeat business. Their loss, another stores gain.

**DO NOT BUY** Unfortunately My couch broke after 2 weeks and it was custom-made for me in a custom…read morecolor. So it's not like they were sitting in their store for a long time being used. They said it would be ready in 3 weeks. It took about 8-10 weeks which I was ok with until it broke when I called them. They said that I can come in and get any couch that I wanted as a trade however, when I went in, they said they would give me a discount and Never held up to their word they wanted to charge me $900 Instead of the $1600. Mind you I paid around $1600 for the first couch set. They pretty much said I was in loss. I asked for my money back and he said they do not make enough money in order to repay customers back when things like this happen I was mind blown so I had no option but to have both couches shipped back to the manufacturer and get them fixed. Which took another 4 months. I couldn't have my family sitting on the floor so I was forced to go to Ashley's furniture and buy all new couches So now I'm stuck with couches that I don't even use and I don't even want because I'm afraid they are gonna break. Very bad customer service not to mention, I paid $150 cash to have the couches delivered and when they broke, they had to come out and investigate to make sure We were not lying, which is fine and he took the couch with him when the second couch broke we had to take that couch to them and Pick them back up when they were ready they did not deliver it to us when we paid for delivery services. I wouldn't even give a 1 star but I have to in order to leave a review. They offered me a free coffee table set, and I didn't even take the free item. I did take the free rug in the beginning they offered me because it took them so long for my couches to be ready In the first place, which I thought was very generous. I asked to talk to the owner, which is their dad and he said he would be giving me a call. Never got a call. The father speaks through the sons and makes them do all the dirty work for him which I think is very cowardly. But overall do not trust their furniture. They can talk a big game to sell their furniture, but it isn't worth the hassle I ended up getting my very sturdy couches from Ashley's furniture for cheaper.
