This is a corrupt company. I purchased a sofa and paid for their "white glove delivery". What a joke. The delivery people damaged my wood floors and Ashley will do nothing about it. They said they are not responsible for anything that is done by the delivery company. This is absolutely incorrect as they are responsible as they picked the third party company to deliver the sofa I bought from them. I will be reporting them to the state attorney general and BBB. We spent over $5,000 with Ashley Furniture Industries on a mattress, bed frame, and end table, and the entire experience has been terrible. From the start, we were misled by Benjamin, the salesperson/manager who sold us the furniture. We were told that if we didn't like the mattress, we could exchange it within 90 days, continue swapping until we found the right one, and only pay $100 per exchange. When we tried to do exactly that after the first week, Ashley changed the story and said we had to wait 30 days. Now they are saying we only get one exchange total. That is not what was promised when they took our money. On top of that, I have missed four days of work dealing with deliveries, repairs, and replacements because damaged/defective items kept showing up and service appointments failed to fix the problems. After repeated failed attempts, they had to replace items entirely. Because of this mess, I've been sleeping on a cot for the past 3 weeks while waiting for them to make things right. Between the misleading sales tactics, poor communication, repeated service issues, and wasted time, this has been one of the worst customer experiences I've had. worst customer service ever! DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE! We brought dinette table/chairs and couches at same time. Couches arrived with stains and chairs were broken. we were assured their customer service would fix those issues, the problem is they will call you on a Tuesday to say the "service team" can come to you Thursday...WTF kind of scheduling system is that? I work and cannot move appointments and work meetings within 2 days notice. I've called and spoke with MULTIPLE people and guess what? They don't do anything about it. I've also tried giving multiple dates I could be home all day (that's right because the window is for ALL DAY) and they claim the schedule doesn't come out but every two weeks on Tuesdays so they cannot accommodate my schedule and availability in advance. Ashley furniture is THE WORST quality furniture and their diamond care/ warranty is a complete money grab. We only have had our couch and sofa and coffee tables for 2 years and the finish is bubbling. The frame has broken under one of the couch cushions And the upholstery is coming apart in the back of the couch. They will do nothing to help - even though I'm only a month out of the normal warranty and have a 5 year additional plan. I'll never purchase from them again and will make it my goal to spread how awful they are to others in hopes of saving other people's finances. read more

After purchasing an item over the phone, paying in full and signing paperwork, I was assured by the sales associate, Jennifer, that I could pick up my purchase the following day. Trusting her word, I made a long drive to the store (with people to help because they will NOT help you move anything) only to be told by the manager upon arrival that the item wouldn't be available for pickup for another 2-3 days! While I LOVE the piece of furniture I purchased, this lack of knowledge, communication, and transparency was EXTREMELY frustrating and inconvenient. It ruined my experience. My daughter purchased dining table, couch and 2 chairs, coffee table, ottoman from Ashley Homestore online and I have to say, DO NOT PURCHASE from them. Order #725003432817. The table arrived dinged up and the box and packaging was destroyed. Clearly not protecting the table. The couch was supposed to be delivered 5/21/20 between 230 and 530 and they did not show up. When she called, she was told it was her fault because she didn't update her phone number from 10 years ago. So, she still doesn't know when it will arrive. She contact customer Service, Mary, Chantelle and Ashley all did not help her, they actually put her on hold and never returned. Only to leave Nicole to have to call back. She moved into her new apartment and now has no furniture to sit on. She spent several thousand dollars and has nothing. read more

I came to this Ashley's as I was stopping through as my family and I are moving. There were associates all through the store, not one time in our 30+ minutes of being in the establishment were we greeted or spoken to at any time at all. Thing is, we were wanting to buy today as they had the item we've been looking for in store. I have personally shopped at Ashley's for many years and still have furniture from them. I got 2 bedgear pillows that went flat and hurt mine and my husband's back. We have called several times with no call backs and finally called BedGear to only get told that we was not properly fitted for the $200 a piece pillows we bought. Bedgear said we was supposed to be asked questions etc to get fitted for their brand pillows. Ashley's furniture said they only had 1 option of BedGear pillows in stock and that's what they gave us. They refused to exchange our pillows for the correct pillows and refused to refund us our money! So after spending $12,000 with Ashley Furniture we have gotten nothing but ripped off and I will be posting this on every platform Ashley's has. Our furniture has also came Damaged and it is such a fight to get any replacement. I will be warning everyone about this Store if this is not made right on all platforms Ashley's has. This is so wrong that we spent so much money for damaged furniture and $400 on pillows we can't sleep on and that cause us pain all because it was the only option they had in stock. It wasn't until we contacted BedGear that we found out why we hurt, they told us each one of their distributors are trained how to fit clients for the right pillow. I'm not even going to start on the damaged furniture we received to only get replaced with more damaged furniture. After waiting almost a full month after the original delivery date was scheduled and taking off 3 days of work, I have yet to receive a delivery. After being told our order was dropped off the back of the truck, damaged during delivery, failed inspection, unable to arrive on the correct date due to scheduling issues on Ashleys end, the couch has failed to be delivered three consecutive times! Upon the third delivery, no attempt at delivering and dropping off in home was made possible. The lack of effort to make any accommodations is highly frustrating. All doors are standard size, no excuse as to why the delivery could not be completed, thats just called being lazy. If you plan on purchasing through Ashley, good luck! I'd like to personally thank Benjamin for being nice and not to pushy for a purchase. He moved furniture, grabbed chairs from across the store for us, etc. Best furniture store I've been too by far. Ashley Capital Blvd, Raleigh NC ( Mayra - Amazing!!) I was new to the area and stopped by Ashley Furniture to begin shopping for my new house. Shortly after walking into the store, Mayra gently approached me to ask if she could be of assistance. Once I explained what I was looking for, she guided me to that section. WHAT I ADMIRED about her was that she didn't hover over me, nor did she leave me blindly. She gave me the time & space to look around and told me how to find her when ready. Since that day in early October, Mayra has been in constant contact with me ~ updating me on my order, and following through on the delivery process. She has just been amazing! I made an in person purchase of a sectional couch on May 31st. I was told at the time that there may be some delays with delivery due to the pandemic which was understandable. I experienced at least 4 of these date push backs, a couple of which weren't even communicated to me - I found out when I called to confirm delivery the next day that they had been pushed again for several weeks. The day of delivery my time window was pushed back, when I called at the end of the second window for updates, no one could provide one. I was told that they could not get in touch with the delivery team and had no clue when or if they'd be there. I received a call from the delivery crew at 10:30pm that evening wishing to deliver my product then without assembly. After some back and forth over the assembly and basically being bullied into accepting it by being told if I didn't I'd have to wait another month, I decided to allow the delivery. One of the crew was clearly upset about being here and doing the assembly and was abrasive the entire time almost taking his partner's finger off when bringing the furniture in the door. I was told at the time of purchase to thoroughly inspect my delivery because once I signed for it, I would be accepting it in the current condition. Noticing a pull in the fabric and the fact that the offices were closed for customer service at that hour, I refused to sign for the delivery. The angry drivers disassembled and reloaded the furniture damaging my door frame in the process and leaving a throw pillow in my neighbor's yard. I spent multiple hours a day for an entire week on the phone with various entities of customer service trying to schedule redelivery of an acceptable product at an acceptable hour. The date of the new delivery, the delivery driver inquired about my previous delivery experience and shared that he was essentially told that I was an unhappy bitch and to do whatever possible to make me happy. Unfortunately, despite this warning, he was set up for failure as the furniture that was sent to me was the same couch that had been delivered previously only this time it had the additional dirt and grime from being reloaded, taken back to the warehouse, and god knows what else. The driver brought this to my attention and told me he had questioned why the couch was not in its original packaging and was instead shrink wrapped. I was appalled at the disgusting and visibly filthy state of the furniture and when I spoke with the warehouse manager was told that the product was shrink wrapped because they checked it over before sending it out that morning and any damage had to have been on the drive over (mind you I was their first stop). After sending pictures and expressing how I felt about the experience, the warehouse manager and two other individuals personally delivered an acceptable product that afternoon. Since the receipt of my furniture in August, I have received at least 3 additional attempts to deliver my furniture. I've explained each time and am currently waiting on hold to explain again that I already have my furniture. In addition to all of this, I found out after my purchase that the original sales person opened TWO accounts in my name for the 0% finance with a limit on both above $7k for a purchase that was under $2k. After finally working out which card had the actual charges, I've been monitoring the account for 2 months waiting for the pending charges to be adjusted to my actual charges and for them to go through so that I can pay this purchase and finally be done with this horrible experience. After multiple calls with multiple customer service reps and managers the pending amount has only gone up somehow and this week I received two separate receipts almost tripling what I should be charged. Every single step of this process from initial financing at the time of purchase to delivery to customer service to billing has gone horribly wrong and continues to do so. Amazing service from the Ashley Home Store on Glenwood Dr in Raleigh recently. We were immediately greeted by Bert Joines who did not hover but was close by if we had questions. When we did choose a sectional, he was very knowledgeable and answered numerous questions patiently and very kindly. We did not feel pressured to purchase extras or more than we needed just made aware of additional products. If I feel pressured or manipulated then I walk away. Our delivery was just a few days later and we love it. We feel we got a great product for a reasonable price. Sam, the store manager was very helpful along with Andrew when we were trying to set up financing. We highly recommend the store, products and doing business with Ashley Furniture because they treat you with respect. read more

We have purchased a complete living rooom set and dining room set from Ashley and purchased the maintenance agreement. Every piece except 3 dining chairs needed repairs upon arrival (all had some damaged). We also received one wrong item. It took weeks to get them repaired and many, many phone calls. A complete hassle!!!! And this was all pre-covid so that was not the problem! Also if you do decide to purchase from them (please only do it if you want to toss these items out after a year or two) pass on the expensive maintenance agreement. Waste of good money. They will not cover anything!!! If you want quality pieces, go to a quality store and spend a bit more. read more

I wish someone could have warned me about this store and their cheaply made furniture. I purchased 2 sofas and a loveseat less than 5 months ago from this store and you would have thought I had this this thing for about 5 years. The wear and tear that these chairs are showing is ridiculous. Not only do they tell you that you have a year warranty from the store, but they also ask you to purchase their diamond warrant to cover anything that goes wrong with your purchase item for the next five years. Well I purchased the diamond warranty and the store and the warranty company has done nothing but give me the run around about replacing this faulty furniture. I know I have spoken to atleast 6 different people who could careless about providing good customer service or standing behind their product. $3500 dollars gone down the drain for cheaply made so call furniture. Do not buy anything from Ashley HomeStore you will never get it. The salesperson will tell you what he knows you want to hear knowing full well it will never happen. They tell you a delivery date and it keeps getting pushed back and back and back. The store has no problem taking your money and holding on to it for as long as they can because they do not like to process refunds. Once the sale is made and your first delivery date passes the salespeople are extremely rude to you. On top of never getting your order if you try to cancel it they want to charge you a 10% restocking fee. So now you have to fight and fight so that won't happen. I will never ever go back to Ashley nor send anyone I know there. read more

Worst retail experience I've ever had. Original order placed in August 2020. Finally get the order months later only to find out the sales person placed order for the wrong chairs. Order correct chairs....delivery finally scheduled 4 months after second order..... take time off of work to receive delivery.....delivery canceled.....no reason given.....contact customer service.....again......useless....more like customer disservice.....not sure if the "service" we've been "provided" is exception or the rule....but I can't imagine how any company can operate in this manner. Buyer Beware. We purchased our sectional couch September 5th. They never gave us an estimate date of delivery. I would have to call the store every other week to see if I could get an update. All they would say is "we don't provide estimated dates" However, after speaking with several friends who had purchased from Ashley's before they had always received a delivery date. Flash forward to November 12, as our couch is getting delivered it is filthy. We don't accept the couch and Ashley agrees to getting us a replacement. One week later, November 19, we receive a call at 6:30am saying the couch will be here between 7:30-10:30. We just received a called saying the couch will not be delivered today. This was our first and last time dealing with Ashley Furniture. Do not spend your money here. Our salesman was very sweet but due to poor communication on Ashley's team and execution of getting a couch delivered we will never purchase here again. What a dismal experience! Find furniture elsewhere! They take your money and don't deliver and then never process the refund! Placed an order May 17, 2021 for a dining table and six chairs (four non-upholstered and two upholstered) for over $1000. Delivery of the table and TWO chairs were scheduled for the following Thursday. When the delivery company arrives, they have the table and two of the non-upholstered chairs. They carry the table top in and it has a broken corner, but continue to (try to) assemble it, even though I said that it was clearly damaged and not repairable. The second guy starts to assemble the chairs. So I go to check them out. They end up having rub/wear marks on the edges, most likely due to how they are packed. I told them that these items were not acceptable. The seemed perturbed that I wouldn't accept damaged items by trying to convince me that I needed a table to use. It would seem that they are contracted by Ashley and only get paid for successful deliveries. Then a week or so later they move into text communication about another deliver...this time three young people arrive in a U-Haul truck with THREE upholstered chairs...yes three and insisted that I sign and accept everything. These had looked like they had driven to various Ashley stores to collect leftovers to deliver. Then they said if I wasn't happy with them that I need to contact customer service to have someone come out with paint! This now starts my journey with "Customer Service". I use the title in quotes because it is oxymoronic to say that any level of service resides within the company. Hours on the phone, multiple calls with no answers and NO SERVICE and NO REFUND! Now we roll into June and I have had no contact from the store or anyone from customer service. So I called customer service as was told that they had no ETA for any of the items and that there was no inventory in the warehouse, so I reach out to my sales person Maryam. She was always pleasant but powerless to help. When I told her I wanted to cancel my order she turned me over to her manager Alex. I was told that I could cancel, but that the delivery company would not come out to pick up the upholstered chairs and that I would have to pay for them. That was June 9. I have yet to receive a refund for the cancelled items and I personally went to the store since after I called the manager Alex about the refund on June 24, he had never followed up. I was told (while standing in the store on June 26) that he had sent it to the finance department and "she" had the information. I asked for a phone number to contact "her"...he said he only had an only an email address for "her". When I asked for an email he said he couldn't give it to me! As I sit here writing this on Monday, June 28, 2021, I hope that NO ONE tries to purchase anything from this worthless company. My next call is to the credit card company to dispute the transaction...let Ashley pay the charge back fees! read more
