After patiently waiting for 5 months for a chair, it came in the wrong color. After going back to the store to get it fixed, they said they would get it fixed with maybe another 8-12 weeks (try another 20 weeks again probably). The manager also told me that due to their "grand opening" on Saturday the 9th (which they opened months and months ago but whatever) he probably wouldn't have time to fix my request and he would get to it on Sunday. TERRIBLE! WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE. Sales people were so obnoxious Charles and Troy. Both say they dont like their jobs and would rather be elsewhere. Troy said he is only there because he has a kid now and would rather be tattooing. Repeatedly said he didnt care. Then when I asked for a manager, he told me how incompetent she is saying she is new - first store ever managed, knows nothing and is in over her head. When I asked for "anyone who does know about delivery and price...' Charles said he didn't really know - and then walked away as he said "have a good day" while he crumpled up my $1,600 bedroom furniture order and threw in in the trash! These clowns are trash! Not getting MY money - ever and I hope they get fired. Ashley the manager was VERY professional and apologetic and answered all our questions after we waited around. She promised to follow up with regional but I get the feeling nothing will happen - Wont get a dime from me without these two a-holes fired. read more

I recently bought furniture from a great sales rep, Tiffany. She was very patient with my husband and I and was very honest about what she thought would work and wouldn't work. I appreciated the honesty and the time that she took to make sure that we were happy and got what we wanted. Can't wait for our furniture to arrive! I would def recommend this location and make sure you ask for Tiffany because she is she best and really knows her stuff!! read more

This is a HORRIBLE company. One star is too many stars. First they charged $300 more than what online listed. Had to go back to the store to get a refund and was told that their online company has different prices and sales than in store, even though the Pottstown location was specifically listed on the ad as having same prices. Was also told items were in stock but they are required to give an 8-12 week delivery time anyway, but I would have mine "much earlier". It's now over 12 weeks and customer service says the items are still in production! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! You might as well throw your money out the window because after 4 months you'll give up and pay the 10% cancel fee and go somewhere else anyway. read more

We purchased a dining table and 6 chairs. When delivery came, the table was damaged and we did not accept. The truck left and not more than 5 minutes later I got a call to reschedule. They said once the table returned and was scanned back in at the warehouse they would call to schedule, as they had many in the warehouse. About 4 days later no call, so my wife calls and they say that it has not been scanned back in the warehouse. WHAT!!! Where did the delivery driver take it? We were told cannot schedule until it is scanned back in at the warehouse. Called the store, and they keep telling us the delivery is a separate company and they can't control... Whether or not a different subsidiary, they are all part of Ashley!!! FINALLY, after 10 days it finally made it back to the warehouse and delivery scheduled for a saturday between 12-4 and we were stop #5. Get a call on Friday late afternoon, delivery is now 2-6 and we are stop #7!!!! Nobody at either the store or warehouse can explain why the big change!!! We are stuck and have no choice, because to change the delivery would require us to wait 72 hours for it to be scanned into the warehouse and WE ALL KNOW how that went last time!!! No offer of any discount for the trouble that THEIR company has created. So, now I get to spend all afternoon and early evening Saturday hoping the table shows up with no damage. I will not be going to Ashley ever again, and I caution people to make sure they check all furniture before it enters your house!!! read more

First time in Ashley Furniture. My daughter and I picked out three things to purchase. I found an area rug and they had one just inside the back door. The saleswoman said she was to old to pull the rug out. She was not old but lazy. Would not let me pull it out. I went to the manager who had a very sour attitude and unfriendly demeanor. She said they didn't have any help to pull it out. Finally they huffed and puffed and brought it out and left it on the floor in back of store for me to carry out. It was so light, my daughter threw it over her shoulder and carried it out. maybe twenty pounds. All that over a lightweight area rug. Needless to say, we did not purchase the other items. This woman should not be the manager of any store, not should the saleswoman be in sales. Bad attitudes who work together against the customers. Shame on you both. Will not be back. read more

Careful with delivery... they scheduled for Tuesday on Saturday, confirmed on Monday, but cancelled Tuesday morning. We had already removed the old furniture. That brought their 5 stars down to 2. Avoid this place!! After waiting 16 weeks for my sofa they told me the loveseat would not be available until June 26th. This would be 30 weeks for a loveseat. I had to drive to the store 2 times just to speak to anyone because they don't answer the phones and there is no voice mail. Don't buy anything from Ashley Furniture in Pottstown!! read more

We felt pressured as soon as we walked in the door. We were uncomfortable as we were walking through the store and therefore left empty handed. The set up of the store is nice and the furniture seems nice as well but the sales people were awkward and pushy. read more

I am giving this review two stars. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the actual sales staff at the store were empathetic and as helpful as they can be with two arms tied behind their backs. Way back in 2021 we ordered a new bedroom set for my oldest daughter with the intention of giving her bedroom set to my now 4 year old daughter who is currently sleeping on a mattress in the corner like a derelict in a flophouse since we didn't want to have a 4 year old sleeping in a crib still causing so much trauma that then turns her into some weird fetishist where she can only get a good night's sleep in a tiny crib acting like those creepy adults who put on diapers and act like babies. Fast forward to halfway through 2022 and I am on day two of sitting around with my thumb up my rear end waiting for delivery of furniture that, honestly, I am not sure actually exists. I mean I paid for it day of purchase so it has to right? The fellowship of the ring made it to Mount Doom in less time. Anyway back to the store. I've become close friends with many of the sales staff over the last 8 months. I may even be god parent to a child or two at this point, I can't keep track, but it has been pushed delivery deadline after pushed deadline and I am sitting here on my couch waiting an hour plus past the most recent delivery window for this fabled furniture. It has now been 8 months and I could have taken a carpentry apprenticeship, chopped down that tree that my neighbor lets leaves blow in my yard from, trimmed the wood, stained and painted, and then assembled in 4 months less time than I have been strung along on this purchase. I actually recently asked the sales staff during one of my weekly forays into the store if their supplier was located in war torn Ukraine, as that is the only feasible reason I could see for it being delayed 2/3 of a year. Turns out it's actually made locally. Guess they are using live beavers to fabricate the wood and the beavers have been in quarantine for the last half a year. And don't get me started on the delivery service they outsource too. At least the store staff has the good graces to be apologetic about the experience. The delivery service gives time windows they have no intention of keeping and acts like they are doing you a favor rescheduling constantly to inconvenient times ruining a father's day because all you want for father's day is two kids sleeping through the night in their own beds that aren't laying on the floor. The delivery service is the most incompetent group of people I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I've had hemorrhoids that were less of a pain in the butt than these con artists. Honestly at this point when the furniture does arrive (probably as I'm walking one of the girls down the aisle on their special day as my phone rings telling me I have 15 minutes to get home or miss the delivery) it will probably come as a crumbled pile of wood and disappointment and even if the furniture does arrive in relative furniturish order the delivery staff will probably walk around hammering holes in my walls while urinating on my carpet based on the other reviews I have read about the quality of the delivery and assembly process. Honestly, I think I could pay a hobo $100 to just go to town on my testicles with a pair of pliers and a blow torch and come away with a higher sense of satisfaction than I have felt with this entire process. A few words of advice first to the staff and then the owners. To the staff, Run. Run as fast as you can to another job. I'm sure you lose half your commissions from similar situations and you all seem like decent nice people and I hate to see you in such a constant awkward position of being dressed down by irate customers due to events that are completely out of your control. To the owner and all prior joking aside. You need to look at your entire supply chain from raw materials, to suppliers, fabricators, warehouses and delivery and clean house. AMAZING. From start to finish. The retail representatives, customer service, furniture itself, and delivery process was amazing. I cannot thank the staff at the Ashley Furniture Homestore - Pottstown, and my greatest thanks to Sales Manager Justin who made this process flawless. When I arrived at Ashley I was given great help finding the perfect couch for my living room. Everyone was so kind and helpful. I knew with lots of shortages in the supply chain due to COVID, it would take some time to get my furniture. I planned ahead with an upcoming move in and purchased the furniture 12 weeks ahead to ensure I would have it in time. I was moving and getting rid of old furniture. Justin and his staff moved mountains to help me get this furniture in time. I would check in every few weeks and they were always transparent and extremely kind by offering any updates that they had available. As for product and delivery, both were seamless! I was given a 12-4 delivery time frame, the company arrived at 12 on the dot! I received notification to confirm my delivery the day before and received a text to let me know they were arriving soon. The staff that delivered the furniture were polite, handy, and quick. AND, best of all.... the couch is AMAZING. Its in perfect condition, exactly what I ordered, and ready for many upcoming movie nights and memories in my new home. Again, this is all thanks to the staff at Pottstown Ashley! I came in because of the sale signs posted along the highway. I purchased a chair and ottoman and then found out it was full price because the sale, to which I had referred repeatedly, did not start for another few days. Any quality salesperson would have told me the sale hadn't started yet. I was also frustrated because I could not pick up my item at the store and either had to pay an excessive fee to have it delivered or pick it up at the warehouse. The salespeople made it abundantly clear that it would be extremely inconvenient to pick it up myself. I opted for pick up anyway because what they were asking for a delivery of a chair and ottoman was not acceptable. Then I drove home and found the exact same item at Ashley's Amazon store for half the price with a 20 dollar delivery fee which included them carrying the chair up to my second floor. Also, the item I ordered from the store wasn't available for several months but the one I ended up purchasing online was delivered within two weeks. I had to go into the store to cancel my purchase (wasn't allowed to do so over the phone), but was able to cancel my store order because it was less than 24 hours since I had made the purchase. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because they acted only slightly grumpy when I came in to cancel my purchase. read more
