I bought a power recliner from Ashley in July in 2018. The good: price, delivery, and it had an outlet to insert a phone charger. The bad: The metal frame bent 6 months after purchase. I got the run around in who should fix it (the company or the warranty) and finally got it fixed 2 months later. 6 months go by and the metal frame bends again, making the chair unusable and I will have to purchase a new one. Any chair that breaks after 6 months... TWICE... has a terrible design flaw. The worst part, the extended warranty doesn't cover the metal frame (that is what 877-314-8457 told me). Service was very good, especially Danny Dajani. Danny helped us purchase a couch, the Alano, that we love so far. He was a great balance of providing information without being pushy. You should still do some homework online before going, but nothing like trying out the furniture in-person. Also wait for sales. No issues with delivery. On 10/19/16 I visited your store in Niles,IL at about 7pm. I've never been to an Ashley Home store and I thought I give it a try because you have some good sales going on. I entered the store and looked around. I believe I was in your store for about 10 to 20 minutes walking around back and forth. Not once did someone say Hello, How can I help you, or not even a Thanks for coming. You had a few other customers but not everyone of your sales associates were busy. Some as a matter of fact were sitting down by the front door on your sofas and just looked at me coming in and leaving and didn't say one word. Horrible first experience at your store. I needed a dining set and some sofas but it seems like my business was not wanted and I will be taking my business elsewhere. I've been with Ashley for since 2014 and now that we decided to buy new couches we are having the WORST experience ever ! We bought couches end of June and they let us know it'll be delivered mid July ... it's August 15th and still nothing ! Every week they call us to delay a week . This Store has to be the worst store for buying furniture and their Customer Service is horrible. They never answer the phone when you call in with a problem. It took 90 minutes to finalize my purchase at their store using my Ashley Furniture Credit Card. They still haven't put thru the purchase onto my Credit card and it"s been over 60 days. The worst furniture store I have been. When I was there, sales ladies were siting on one sectional and talking. When we need assistance with a table what we interested, we had to go to the office ask for help. DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS STORE TO PURCHASE ANYTHING! By far the worst costumer service I have EVER dealt with in my life. I ordered a dining room set, plates and an area rug and when my set and rug were delivered the driver said the plates were not on the truck. They told us to go into the store that day to see what was going on, so we did, and everyone there was clueless. The manager was a complete nightmare and incredibly rude. Now we are trying to get refunded for our dinnerware sets and it's a total headache. Customer service is terrible and one year warranty means nothing. I bought three expensive twin mattresses and three box springs. Within a couple of months one of the box springs had two broken boards underneath. Upon inspection, there were two knots in the boards and the boards broke on the knots. I scheduled a tech to come and look at it. I waited all day and no one showed up. When I called, they said sorry our fault we see you had an appointment, we don't know what happened. They then had me take pictures and send them in. Weeks go by with no return phone call. All the while, my expensive mattress is sinking! I call them, they say sorry we will do nothing as it looks like you damaged it. My daughter that sleeps on it is 20 years old and not at all overweight! I have no young children and no grandchildren to break it! I am very disappointed in Ashley Furniture. Terrible customer service and warranty on their furniture. read more

I recently bought a 1700.00 bedroom set. Thank God I purchased an extended warranty. My husband was putting on his shoes while sitting on bed and the wood on the side panel actually chipped. We called Ashley and they requested pictures and within a couple days after we made the claim Ashley delivered much more then we requested. They delivered a whole new side rail and the slats for mattress etc...Ashley furniture honors their warranty and then some. I would give 5 stars to them. They came thru above and beyond. Not happy at all with the warranty. After 2yrs my recliner sofa broke. Called to get it fixed and the 800# they gave me went straight to voice mail. Left a message 8 times and no one ever called back. Now my end table leg broke and I don't even want to try to call. I spent almost $2500 for new furniture in 2013 and it's falling apart. We always bought cheap or used furniture when the boys were little but once they grew up we went for brand new. My used furniture lasted longer than this. The way this roomful of furniture is falling apart I'll have to buy again in 3 yrs. But I think I'll go across the street to Value Furniture and spend less. Not happy at all. read more

They lie and try to open as many accounts under your name as possible when you apply for a credit card. They opened 2 credit card accounts and ran my credit twice when I only needed one and told them that. I also called them to clear up the issue and they didn't even know how to handle and they never did anything about it! Never doing business with them again. read more

I bought a living room set from this place in august of 2021. They said they were going to deliver it on the 24th of December 2021. They sent it to the wrong address. the correct ad was only 10 minutes away from the wrong address they sent it too. we call and told them they had the wrong address 2 months prior. not just that we they called us 2 days before the delivery confirming that they had the right address. They still sent it to the wrong address either way. They call us back saying it's too far to go and drop it off the same day that we have to set up another delivery. They said as soon as possible right it's already January 4 2022 and still haven't received them. Not just that but The fucken company has us paying for fucking couches we don't fucking have yet!!!! Save you self the headache and read this review be ever buying from this company again, they are so unorganized terrible people to talk to, and information if easily los. This company is a suckfest from beginning to end. Store's help were hard to get their attention. After getting short unhelpful answers, finally got someone who could help us buy some tables, that we found ourselves on the sales floor. Took nearly an hour to write up the order. Couldn't get a time or date to ship while there - had to be called by centralized service. Could only schedule with a 4 hour (!) window of when to come. Once scheduled proceeded to get automated calls over several days to make sure we would be home. Come day of delivery, called to get idea of when coming, couldn't do it. When 3 hours of promised window of delivery went by - called again. They said they won't be able to get there within the window of time - could I wait around up to 3 hours more. Cancelled that delivery. They waited over a week to call me again to schedule shipping again? I just wanted to see what they would do - as at this point I just wanted to be done with them. Told them if they are 1 minute late on next delivery - we are done. They came at last 1/2 hour of time window they gave me. Tables were wrapped in moving blankets not boxed. Was told that these were new tables and I allowed them to bring in house. Tables were unwrapped and were not new but in good shape (like floor samples) I marked that they were not new but would keep until resolution of what floor samples would cost vs new. Marked that on ticket I signed and waited for a call. Automated survey a day later, told my issue to a machine. Got call 3 days later from person who wanted to see If I was happy - without referencing the issue they knew about already. I told her the issue and was told she couldn't do anything - I'd have to call the store. I couldn't figure out why they asked if they could help if they couldn't. Literally, every call with these people requires YOU the customer to call someone else, to attend any issue you may have. For a national company selling mid-line furniture for sizable mark-ups, I can only say you must be very patient and have no other place to buy furniture from - if you wish to brave the cluster-f*ck that is Ashley Furniture. read more

I really liked my salesman Mojo. He was so helpful, not at all pushy and sincere. I had a budget and he worked with me to make it happen. The quality of my furniture is good and the price was just right. I will definitely come back and Mojo is my choice to assist me once again. I also like that they sell an entire room. If I could have given ZERO stars I would have. Store sells items for a lot more than other retailers. They will likely try to tell you that the other products are either a knock off or not from an honest website. Wrong. You can NOT return the items. Even if you're not satisfied with the quality. We have purchased two items, picked them up ourselves (their shipping is expensive) - had to re-drill various holes, parts were dented or varnish rubbed of, one pieces shows many [nail] holes at the very top (visible) while the other does not. And we didn't even bother with the instructions, they were completely off, even stating wrong number of pieces (and I'm not talking hardware). I'm so sick of Ashley Furniture I won't bother with exchanging. Even if they acknowledge the product is faulty I will have to drive back and forth (it's quite a distance to the warehouse), and risk the exact same issue unless I take ALL pieces out and inspect them (can't do because then they may not survive the trip back since it won't be protected by the original packaging - and it's two large pieces). Stay away and shop elsewhere. I have since read horrible reviews pretty much everywhere. Not just for this particular store - all of them (they're independently owned). Ashley Furniture = NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Once you purchase something, they're done with you. read more

Sorry for the long story, but just when we keep thinking the service couldn't get worst Ashley tells us to hold their beer. We found furniture we liked at a competitor online. Back in January we order a living room set. I told the salesperson we need the chaise end of the sofa on the opposite side of what the showroom has on display and she assured me it wouldn't be an issue and we'd have our furniture in early March. In early March I called the customer service number for a date and I was told the the recliner and ottoman would be available in May to June. I asked if I could have the sofa and chaise delivered sooner as we were having family over for Easter. They scheduled delivery for those two items 3/19. As the delivery company started unwrapping my furniture I noticed the chaise was in the wrong side. I tried calling the store and the delivery company laughed and told me good luck they never answer the phone. They put their dispatcher on speaker who recommended I hold on to the furniture and someone was call me in 48-72 hours. After waiting 72 hours I made countless attempts to contact the store and learned they never answer the phone. I called their customer service number and was informed I would have to go into the store and reorder the right style. I went back to the store and asked to speak to the manager. She called over the salesperson (who messed up my order in the first place and told her to fix it). The salesperson basically bashed the store to me the entire time. I asked why they never answer the phone and she said she was sent home for answering the phone. Anyway, the sales person was struggling to figure out how to order it correctly and a man came over to help. I went back to the desk and asked the lady to double check and make sure the order was correct. The lady then informed me the new couch would be available in 8-10 weeks (keep in mind we were already at 8 weeks from the first order. I asked her to cancel my order and I would go somewhere else. She laughed and told me that they do not do refunds. I called customer service and they helped me cancel my order. I still had the wrong couches at my house, and someone would contact me regarding pick up. Later that night I get a call from a different manager. He apologized and told me they cancelled the sofa and chaise but but the ottoman and recliner. At this point I'm super frustrated but I still wanted my furniture, and this set matched all my criteria. He guaranteed that I would have all my furniture by June 1st and I figured if I went somewhere else I would be waiting just as long. The manager also gave me his personal number and said he would follow this through. Meanwhile I wait another week and nobody has called me about picking up the furniture. I call the managers cell phone 3 times over two days and each time the phone is answered and hung up (it was the same number he had called me from so I knew it was correct. I call the customer service number after attempting to call the store and was able to get the couches scheduled for removal. Side note: the delivery people screwed up my door frame and wall bringing it out despite the original delivery people having no issue bringing it in. A few weeks later I receive an email letting me know that my ottoman and recliner will be delivered. They bring the ottoman in and my husband notices the recliner they are bringing toward my house is rattling. He asked if it should be making that noise and the delivery guy said that it was broken (so they were going to deliver me a broken recliner?). My husband refuses the recliner. This past Saturday I receive an email that they are bringing the recliner 5/12. This is my 4th day that I've had a delivery and pick up and my husband and I decided we aren't wasting another vacation day waiting for delivery, so I called and asked if they can give us a 15 minute call ahead so we can be home when they get there. While on the phone I found out they are delivering the recliner and ottoman...I already have the ottoman!! I also asked the status of my sofa and chaise and was told it looks like it will be 13-15 weeks. So much for the June 1st guarantee the manager gave me. This place is a joke and I have been failed on every level since purchasing on 1/23. It's 5/12 and all I have is an ottoman and a headache. I've reached out to the store and customer service so many times and I get nothing but broken promises. I really thought the Ashley name was reputable for furniture but I was very wrong. In speaking to friends and family about this horrible experience I've learned that two people I know have had very similar experiences in dealing with this store. My hope is I can warn people before they get duped into giving this store any of their hard earned money. I'm 4 months in, but if you need furniture I recommend looking for another store. read more

I like space but when I approached a sales associate who was Eastern European for assistance and he just commented that I was looking at wasn't going to fit he said he's be back and never did. Listen to what Laura C said in her review 3 months ago!! After a 6 week wait we had a dining table delivered yesterday and the delivery guy couldn't assemble it because of missing hardware. He said we would be contacted within 24 hours to arrange for a technician to come out. That never happened. We've experienced extremely long wait times (30 to 60 minutes) on the customer care line and still haven't gotten any resolution. The sales people at the store in Niles IL say they can't do anything about it. In the meantime we have an unassembled table sitting in our dining room. We bought several pieces of furniture from the Ashley store in Niles. The service and delivery were fine, but I would strongly advise anyone looking to buy a couch to go somewhere else! For the price of the microfiber sectional we bought (I think it was about $800), I regret not shopping around the sales/outlet centers of better quality stores. The microfiber *stains* if you get a drop of *water* on it. I don't mean that it leaves a mark and evaporates. No, that drop of water never goes away! We paid $120 for the furniture protection plan they offered from a company called Guardsman. A JOKE! When I called to have the couch cleaned, it took weeks to get someone to come out and then weeks later for a form letter to arrive stating they wouldn't clean the couch. Completely worthless "protection plan" and company. My advice: don't buy anything microfiber from Ashley. If you do, skip the protection plan unless you literally plan to call the second you get a single drop of anything on the couch (I was told by Guardsman that's what is required if you want them to honor the terms of their protection plan - ha! you'll spend half your life chasing after them). Alternatively, never eat or drink ANYTHING, EVER on the couch. read more

The store has poor management and leadership They do not follow-up on their mistakes and also do not apologize for the mistake. In my experience the young 20 something manager and the leadership team is only interested in making a sale. The clerk typed in an incorrect Skew number for the night stand. When they called to confirm, I told them the order was wrong, and they said they didn't think the order was wrong. I went back to the store to correct the order, and they confirmed it would be delivered on time. The night before a clerk called and said the delivery wouldn't be scheduled. I told the individual that the delivery had to come tomorrow otherwise I will cancel the order. The clerk said she would call back but never followed up. The order is yet to show-up. read more
