My wife and I had the best experience purchasing from Scandinavian Design. From the ordering, to…read moredelivery and even pick up, all the steps were completely seamless thanks to Josh who helped us with ordering and all the staff at the pick up location in Boise. Originally the sectional we wanted was back ordered for months but Josh was able to get us on a pre-order and it ended up coming a month before they promised. Delivery was great, the company called me to schedule a time and they came in and put the whole sectional together for us. This sectional was an amazing price for how large, sturdy and comfortable it is. Its modern design alone is worth a lot more than $4k. We also ordered a dining table and picked it up at their Boise location. I was able to come at the scheduled time and they helped load it into my truck. The dining table is also high quality and has held up nicely around my three crazy boys. Thank you so much Scandinavian Design for helping us find affordable furniture without sacrificing on quality. And again thank you Josh, you were a huge help throughout the process and made everything so easy for us! I would highly recommend shopping here for all your furniture needs.

I spent nearly $3,000 on a furniture set from Scandinavian Designs. I paid an additional $250…read more(delivery fee + tip) for delivery. The nightstand, which was $300 (w tax), was crooked and wobbly. They ordered a replacement and scheduled a delivery, which never happened. They didn't call/notify me, so after waiting at home all day for it to arrive, I had to call them. They totally ignored the fact that they botched the delivery and then told me I had to bring it back to the store to exchange it for another one. After hauling the warped nightstand back to the store, then assembling it at home, the new one has the exact same problem. Their only solution is for me to wait another week for another one to arrive, bring the defective one back again and get another one, even though it's pretty obvious that the furniture has a factory defect. So now they are just wasting my time instead of fixing the issue. If it were cheap furniture, I would just give up and keep the defective nightstand. But I refuse to pay almost $300 for defective furniture, and the only solution is just more inconvenience and time spent on getting another defective product. Very poor customer service. I will NEVER BUY FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN. The furniture is horrible quality and the customer service is terrible, especially for furniture that isn't exactly inexpensive.

This time we were hunting for hard to find size chairs to replace a pair of 25yo Baker brand chairs (yes, we are replacing not reupholstering them given the style just doesn't work for being comfy seating for me now even though a premium brand) for home office tv viewing and reading. This time we experienced this Basset store as possible buyers and in that view my original 4 star bumps up to 5 star experience. DESIGN PROFESSIONALS STAFF & GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE: Although we gave it a good try thanks to the help of one of the designers, Jamie who has been in the design industry and knows her stuff as well as the Bassett inventory, we couldn't find the right fit of style and fabric combined. But we appreciated the bright large space with ample space to navigate around the items on display as well as the handy design center with fabric samples...custom carpet corner pieces too...and that we could take home large fabric 'memo samples' to look at in our space. The young owner-manager, Chance, models top notch customer care, also weighed in to answer a question that Jamie wanted his help to answer for me. And his looking out for customers was also so for all the store employees. THEIR NICHE & AUDIENCE: The Bassett brand is on the mid range, maybe lower mid range, in prices and for what it is the quality seems very good with customization available in some pieces for wood finishes, fabrics and cushion fills. Some pieces are bench made in the U.S. They offer custom dining table sizes sometimes only found in higher price brands. If you're in the market for furniture in the Treasure Valley, Basset is definitely worth the look and in particular if you're a CHF or RC Willey or Bungalow Home audience shopper I think you'll find options here that may be better quality in similar price points. STYLE OPTIONS: Borrowed from my first review - "From mid-century, to tailored casual, to transitional, to rustic, to modern, to traditional, there are styles for all tastes. Whether you're shopping for apartment or condominium, a whole house or one room in a home or looking for just one piece to finish off a room there are options here scaled to work in almost any space. Whether you're furnishing for hipster single or young couple or growing family or empty nesters or senior living, there seems to be something for everyone..." in this mid range price point. LOCATION: Convenient, just south of The Village, in the former Pier 1 store space, near Bed Bath and Beyond. PARKING: Lots of it in private lot. ACCESSIBILITY: ADA parking in lot. Store is fully accessible.

I had always assumed Bassett was extremely expensive but I was pleasantly surprised! I have been to many of the high-end name stores in the treasure valley and their prices were two to three times the amount for the exact same furniture that Bassett sells. I wish I knew about them sooner! So far I've ordered six dining room chairs and a sectional and have plans to order a console, Ottoman and a coffee table from Bassett. I got to choose from a ton of custom fabrics...many of them performance and Crypton. Thanks Meridian Bassett crew!
