Also a great woman managing the store and another amazing woman who works in the mattress section - I wish I could remember their names to give them the recognition they deserve. The 3 men sitting by the door when I came in to grab a replacement pillow for my chaise, were not great. They are 1/5 to be honest, with this review only getting an extra star from the amazing women that work here. Do not, I repeat do not purchase extended warranty (Extend.com) until you read their 14 page (what is not covered) agreement. Enough said! Apparently their furniture is for display use only. Oh, and a heads up if you did pay for the "Extended Warranty" and you need to file a claim on your sofa you will need to take a photo of the s/n under the sofa. Did I mention that I am 78 years old laying on the floor and getting underneath the sofa to find and photo the tag. Another lesson learned! read more

I had one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had at the Ashley Furniture store in Mt. Juliet, TN, specifically with an employee named Marland Young. His behavior was rude, disrespectful, and downright unprofessional. On my first visit, I was ready to buy a dresser priced around $1,100, but noticed over $500 in unexplained fees on the receipt. I told Mr. Young I'd come back later and left. My wife later ordered the dresser online instead. A few days later, I returned--not about the dresser, but to exchange a table we had previously bought from him for the same one in a different color. Mr. Young immediately brought up my earlier visit and accused me of being "rude" just for walking away. He repeatedly said he "shouldn't even be helping me" and made a public scene in front of other employees and the store manager, who stood by and didn't say a single word throughout the entire incident. Mr. Young even showed something on his iPad to his coworkers while looking at me, and they laughed--completely unprofessional. When I tried to end the interaction, he told me to take a picture of him, grabbed his nametag, and said I could go ahead and file a complaint because he didn't care. His exact words were, "This isn't customer service--this is sales." The entire experience felt hostile and retaliatory. The lack of professionalism from both Mr. Young and the store manager was shocking. When we later visited the Franklin Ashley store, they immediately offered 25% off everything and treated us with respect--something Mt. Juliet could learn from. If he's going to make that big of a scene simply because I changed my mind about a purchase, he needs to get thicker skin if he's going to work in this industry. They delivered a damaged couch, we refused to sign so they explained that we should keep the un-damaged half of a sectional and they'll replace the damaged portion. I asked to fully return everything and I said I'll bring it back myself. Denied. So in 3-4 weeks we will have a full couch. "The items would have to be returned before the drivers leave. If I could give negative stars, I would. I bought an $800 recliner here 2 years ago. I paid $200 for the warranty plan. The warranty company stated that the fabric is defective as it frayed and left holes exposing the chair padding underneath. AND that because it was a manufacturing defect, they will not cover the claim. IF I had cut it, they would have covered it. Ashley switched warranty companied 2 months after I bought my chair- because they knew they would cover claims. No one told me that! No one will refund the warranty Ashley blames warranty company. Warranty company blames Ashley. Yet, Ashley took the money. Ashley could make it right, but they tell me it is out of their hands!? Horrible experience and I should have known it from the start. Sales person upsold an insurance plan that she mentioned 5 times covers everything even after we said we have pets and kids. A few months in our furniture started showing some extra wear and tear which we were told would be covered (mind you it's an expensive plan) and were instantly denied. When it came for buying the couch! It would be a 5 star. The agent i worked with was fantastic. The shipping is what made me give this whole experience a 2/5 stars. I was originally told my couch would arrive Friday July 5th and they would call me to schedule a time for delivery. They didn't call, there automatic system texted me and TOLD ME a time (which didn't work for me) when I replied back I got the response " Hi STEVEN, someone will contact you shortly." No one contacted me. I had to call the next day to figure out what was going on. I was told that I lost my spot and I would have to pick a different date. The only other dates that really work are Sundays which they're closed. I had to rewrite my schedule so I can have this couch delivered. here's the kicker, they allowed me to pick the date, but I wont give let me schedule a time or give me the time for drop off until 48 hours before. I went to the store 4 times and she ignored me. I went through hell with customer service and finally the recliner was delivered in a rush and very unprofessional. So I'm sure folks have figured out by now that I could write a novel about my experience with Ashley. I want to say that the people at this location have been nice and always have tried to help me. Corporate offices are difficult to work with. You'll see from my precious posts that my sofa was purchased in 10/19 arrived in 01/20 with damage and was finally just repaired in 7/20. My dining table that was also purchased at the same time is literally peeling. I showed this to the tech who came out for the sofa. He said "yep they'll have to replace it with another". But I can't get anyone on the phone, ever. I just spent another 15 minutes on hold. Nobody ever picks up their phones. I have complained here until someone from corporate reached out to me, but they just say someone will call you. They never do. The customer service here barely exists. If you have any question about whether you should buy furniture from Ashley, I ask you to please spare yourself the problems I have experienced with them and go elsewhere. We're ready to buy a bedroom set, a sectional sofa and a dining room set so I thought of the Ashley furniture store near us. After reading the reviews on Yelp, for sure we will not look at Ashley. I wouldn't think of buying there after hearing about the various comments of dissatisfaction like they don't allow returns of damaged or defective furniture pieces; slow response for repairs and poor customer service. I wish I would have checked the reviews before shopping here. I was overcharged by nearly $400!!!!I was so upset by my experience here. I was overcharged by Ashley I was expecting to pay $250. for 2 chairs I ordered with a new card they said would save me interest fees. When I got my bill I was charged almost $600. And when I said I didn't want them at that price they said too bad there is nothing they could do. I attempted to call corporate and they said that it was the stores fault. No one is willing to except responsibility for their mistake. That was just the beginning, part of my order got lost and then they tried to still send it to me after I cancelled it. READ THE FINE PRINT. Do not trust the sales associates. My wife and I went there on February 9th and bought a sofa and a mattress. We originally had just gone to get a sofa but decided to check out mattresses while we were there. The associate (Ashley believe was her name) told us not to worry that we had 30 days to decide if we liked the mattress we were looking at. She had been showing us one of the most expensive ones which I wouldn't have even considered if there wasn't a trial period. I mentioned the 30 days multiple times and she reassured my wife and I that if we didn't like the mattress we could get our money back in 30 days. Yeah, that was not true. We didn't like the mattress after getting it. It was $3600 on sale after taxes. I called to see about returning it and was told no returns. I was then told I could exchange it for something more expensive or equal value and pay the difference. I told the person that is not what I was told. I went to the store and they told me the same thing. The guy at the Mt. Juliet store told me I could get something cheaper but I would take the hit. I told him that's not what the girl told me and he said I could come back tomorrow and speak to her but there are no returns or refunds on mattresses. To be fair we're stupid for not reading the fine print because people just say things to make their commission but what a waste. I like the couch but I'm tempted to return that on principle. Worst furniture buying experience in my life. In January, we purchased 3 mattress sets and two bedroom sets, which included head boards, foot boards, side rails, night stands and chests/dressers. The invoice stated that "due to covid-19" (which seems to be an all-too-convenient go-to excuse for businesses to use these days, as justification for bad service) the average turnaround time is 10-12 weeks from purchase. However, their call center customer service staff gave me earlier delivery dates for all items, when I called them for updates. Three weeks after purchase, they delivered head and foot boards for the King bedroom set (no side rails and slight damage to the headboard), as well as the King mattress but not the foundation. They delivered side rails for the Queen bedroom set, but no head or foot board, and 2 Queen mattresses without foundations for either. They also delivered night stands. Then we spent the next 5 weeks with no further deliveries; we slept on mattresses on the floor. When they showed up with the mattress foundations, they refused to take them to the rooms where they were supposed to go, claiming I hadn't paid for the "white glove" delivery (meanwhile the furniture they delivered 5 weeks prior was delivered to each of the rooms where it belonged, because we had indeed paid for "white glove" delivery. Ashley uses a third-party delivery system, meaning they farm out their deliveries to day laborers who don't actually work for Ashley, so they are non-responsive to anything you tell them. We had (2) Queen foundations and (1) 2-piece King foundation standing in the entryway inside our front door. As of today, we are at 14 weeks since date of purchase, our mattresses and foundations are still on the floor, with no delivery scheduled for the remaining pieces we purchased. A couple of weeks ago, the call center gave me delivery dates, but those dates came and went with no deliveries. When I call the Mt. Juliet store, the phone just rings and rings, and nobody answers. Very unprofessional. I recommend you steer clear of Ashley HomeStore for your furniture needs. They are impossible to deal with, don't answer their phones, items arrive damaged, if they arrive at all, and then they leave them at the doorway, the delivery dates they do give you are not accurate, and the estimated 10-12 week turnover time is a blatant lie! read more

Ordered my sectional in the store on 2/10/24. In store services were fine on that date. It was not delivered until 3/7/24, and one piece was broken and had to be taken back with the delivery drivers. I was already upset that that piece was not going to be re-delivered until 4/4/24, leaving me with half of a $2,000 sectional for a month. NOW, the delivery date has changed to 4/11/24! Derek and the team were great at the store but their logistics and delivery are worth a zero rating. For my bed, I got a call every week saying my delivery was ready but then on the day they call saying "sorry for the inconvenience but my order is not ready ". for my couch it finally delivered but as you can see the guys "forgot their tools" and said their supervisor would be by to complete the job. Calling the customer desk you will get the run around and the are in India so the only thing they can do is put in a ticket! we purchased a kitchen table, living room set, and bedroom set less than one year ago and every item we have is already falling apart. we spend $6,500 and got garbage furniture. When we got home we realized that that was way too much and very unwise of us as the holidays are coming up and we could have used that money for something else. We ended up getting our furniture through Ikea for half the price and the quality is just as good. However, it has been almost a month now and they still have yet to refund us our money when they told us it should just be a few days (11/16/19 was original purchase date). My husband has called multiple times to try and talk to a manager and get our money back but we have yet to hear anything. I recently purchased in September a beautiful entertainment center from Ashley Furniture. As soon as it arrived the RIGHT door fell off and the delivery person was so kind to attach it back correctly. The LEFT side of the door had spacing and was not aligned properly. I immediately contacted Ashley Furniture the same day for repairs. It took 3 weeks for someone from the company that Ashley furniture contracts for repairs named SAW ENTERPRISE. A part needed to be ordered and it took 10 days. Now it is October 26, 2023 and SAW ENTERPRISE cannot fix the door until December 7, 12 and etc. This is so unacceptable and when you try to phone SAW ENTERPRISE you actually have to wait 30 to 40 minutes before you can speak with a live person that cannot help or add any resolution to the problem. I don't understand when Ashley furniture put the piece together why can't they send someone out to correct it. I always thought that they honor their name and would try to please a customer that has made numerous purchases from them. next looking forward to contacting their General Manager. Carla did a great job building report when I walked in, assessing what I needed, and, most importantly, understood that I needed some time to walk the floor and consider my options. When I was ready to talk, she was fast to offer more details, options, and recommendations to help with my two properties. She was extremely knowledgeable about the products they offered which made identifying what I needed easier. She is hands down who I would request if you go here. For the record - I have been to Ashley stores previously and have been interrupted constantly by other team members. Only giving 2 stars because Deona (not sure of spelling) helped me in the best way she could. I went in to purchase furniture that I was looking at online. Took forever in store and felt ignored a lot of the time while associates were just chatting and telling me she was waiting on printer to print. No joke took a good half hour to come back to table with my order. (This should have been my first clue.) Spent almost $10k and because I had been looking at so much furniture on the site I decided to go back to site and look because something wasn't adding up. It was a big difference. I paid a lot more in store. I went in the next day and was told that they could price match but the online and their store were two separate stores. Which still doesn't make sense to me but they refunded me money so I was satisfied. I was charged almost $1000 on my in store order for a protection plan that I wasn't given the option for not explained what it was and what was covered. Again Deona took care of this and canceled it for me. (Something I should have noticed before leaving store but I am moving across country and furniture shopping with two littles. I was just happy to leave the store!) Then got a call the following day saying some of my furniture would be delivered early. Obviously was very happy. Said my couch and bedroom furniture would be delivered. I was ecstatic and was sure to clarify that the couch would be delivered because I was previously told I had to pick it up or set up a third party delivery on my couch because it was a clearance item. Person on the phone said yes it would be delivered. When the delivery guys showed up with no couch I was furious, called store. Again was told because it was a clearance item I had to set up own delivery or pick it up. So I had to pay a separate delivery fee from the almost $500 I paid originally and now was another three days out. The delivery people set up my furniture completely wrong. I had to take apart and put together on my own once I finally figured out what was off about it. Saying that doesn't look like the piece of furniture I saw online. I canceled my sons bed that I bought because it was over two weeks out to be delivered. Ordered on Wayfair and showed up in two days. USE CAUTION for deceptive sales tactics. This has been the absolute worst experience for us. We came in looking to buy a new mattress for the master bed. We let ourselves get talked into an $11,000 mattress with an adjustable foundation. We are sold on superior service and unquestionable satisfaction guarantees. We left thinking we had bought the perfect setup. Several weeks later (while I was on a trip) the mattresses were delivered. The delivery men (literally) took our old mattress and threw it out the front door into the mud. Then they installed the new stuff. On our stowage bed, with the foundation and the pads, the new mattresses sat almost 37 inches off the ground. The three delivery men then tried to get my wife to "lay down on the bed" and "try it out" while they stood there and watched. Needless to say, their insistance made her very uncomfortable and she asked them to leave. By the time I got home, she had fallen off the overly high mattress, and shattered her nose on the nightstand trying to get out of bed. We went in and spoke to the manager and she assured us she would do everything in her power to make us happy. FOUR MONTHS later, we finally got a replacement and lower value foundation that put our mattresses at a reasonable height. Now a total of SIX months later, we are still trying to get a refund on the difference ($1700) in price and Ashley refuses to refund us any money saying that we signed a disclosure forfeiting any refunds. Apparently, giving us an exchange was a major undertaking since that was not guaranteed in the paperwork either and we are not due any refunds on the exchange. We originally asked for only a store credit since we have whole fricken house to furnish, and they wouldn't even do that! So I guess we are out the difference of $1700 and Ashley doesn't get to furnish our new 4500sq ft home. read more

We have bought furniture from Ashley in California and here at this store in Mount Juliet TN. We have been very disappointed in both places with the sales people and store management. We came to the store wanting to purchase and sectional sofa. The sales person that approached us was a young female. Apparently she was brand new and did not know what was going on. After showing us different pieces and her keep running back and forth to the manager we showed her a picture from the Ashley website and told here this is what we wanted and she said no problem, we also told can she match the price. Again running to the manager to ask for approval. After being written up and paying for it. We were told it would be here in September. Also the tech sent to look at the damaged DR table finally arrived, he didn't even know he was looking at the primary reason I had them come out even though I had sent pictures in early March and have spoken to several 'customer service' staff, including the 3 that literally hung up on me. It's been about 2 weeks since the tech has been here and I still haven't heard from Ashley on the resolution, tech said the table would have to be replaced. They have a completely different return policy for "on-line" vs. in-store purchases. If you buy something online, you get to return or exchange your items. However, if you buy in-store you are stuck with the furniture no matter what. Talk about shady business practice and a terrible customer experience.
