Good quality furniture, but do your research before you go. They add on things without asking you or telling before they run your bill. We were replaced our mattress and they didn't asked me if I needed the box springs they just added it to my bill, expensive things shouldn't just be tacked on to a bill without discussion. Then they forgot to add tax to my bill and called me back to the store because of their error and didn't really seemed concerned about my time. read more

This store opens at 10am but after waiting 30 minutes for some to unlock the door I decided to leave! I knocked on the door and people walked past the door looked at me and kept walking. Will not be back due to the lack of care for their customers and this store is just managed poorly/ needs to be shutdown. read more

I had a King mattress delivered yesterday. I had tested it in the store in the available full size and it was soft. Loved it in the store. Slept on the king last night and it was terrible. Like sleeping on a board. Called this morning (after sleeping and having it for one day) to exchange/return and was told once I accept it into my home there is nothing they can do. It is mine. "It will soften up". Blown away. read more

First of all it cost $100 to deliver a $650 piece of furniture. They delivered in one week of purchase with damaged furniture. Second attempt took another week. I told them only to deliver after 245pm. They tried to bring at 9am. Third attempt I told them after 245pm but instead tried to bring it at 1215pm. I paid a %10 cancellation fee. I will never shop there again. read more

I really wish that there can be negative star, because that is what this store deserves. I purchased two sofas on July 1st and was told that the delivery date was around the middle of July. I called a couple of days later to check the status, only found out that the order can be delivered until the end July. Since waiting a whole month is kind of absurd, I went to the store to cancel this order. I had thought the cancellation should be quite strain forward. After all, this is a delayed order and even an online unknown store can do that without a hassle. After talking with the sale person, who became a totally different person when she knew that I come return instead of purchasing, I was told that the sofa is backordered and I need to pay 10% restock fee for a back-ordered item!!! I required to talk to the store manager, hoping that I can find some reasonable person. This manager let us wait for about 30 mins. When he finically went out, he was not only rude but also a professional lair. He said since the sofa is on sale, any on sale items in Ashely can be delayed and two weeks is actually normal, so I have to pay the restock fee!! He said all this have been already written in the flyer. So I asked him to show us the flyer. Guess what? he could not even find this flyer in his own store, not a single copy! This is so disgusting, and I hate to have anything to do with a store. I canceled the order, and let this store take advantage of me. I lost around $150, but fortunately, I get to know what this store really is before I invest more money on it. More important, I can use my experience as an example to warn other people, so that this store can no longer take advantage of them. read more

This is the worst store ever to purchase anything from. Came on the 8th of Sept. wanting to purchase something online and from inside store. Walked in speaking but there were 2 workers standing there that barely spoke. I mean the greeting was improper but I stayed...met Tracy she out of everyone in the store was kind throughout the ordering process.. Even the manger was somewhat rude when Tracy asked a question about my online selection just gave a I'm busy kind of look to us i mean where do they get these people that don't work well in public. Upset also because it takes two weeks to get furniture... Charging me 125 dollars to bring at a time when I work. Made it very clear that I wanted delivery in morning but instead get email telling me they times are generate by a computer and it was out of their control..shouldn't the customers availability matter first Have to miss day of work because of this whole process... Will never buy again and will spread word to everyone about this terrible experience read more

For the second time in four years, my husband and I have experienced exceptional customer service from Ms. Shirley Brown. She is a pleasure to work with and cares about her customers leaving satisfied. With customer service lacking in so many ways, in our society today, working with Shirley is refreshing. read more

EVER!! neither do my families or friends because i will make sure i tell them all about u guys! i alwyas leave good reviews for people, but this is the only store i leave a 1, if theres a (-) i would too!! Extremely pleasant shopping experience on 12/30/17. Miss Shirley was very patient, friendly and helpful in finding in what we wanted. Will most certainly return to this store again. read more

1 star is being generous. Our experience with this location has been absolutely AWFUL!! We purchased 5 items on 6/13 and have yet to receive one of them. We were overcharged on a rug and delivery dates have been changed numerous times. We can't even get a straight answer as to what the new dates are. My calls to the Store Manager and Salesperson went unreturned or were avoided on several occasions which resulted in me making 4 separate trips to the store to try to get resolution. They didn't hesitate to charge my credit card for items that aren't due now until September, but when trying to get a refund for cancelled items it's a long & very painful process. I realize that delivery dates are outside of the Store's control, but Customer Service is not and the Customer Service here is terrible! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! read more

This store is located in a great area and is very clean. They have a lot of great accessories but be careful with your delivery dates. My purchase was delayed three times and my items were damaged when I finally got delivery. read more

I was very disappointed with the store on Winchester for one reason only. That reason is Calvin Blackstone! He was very disrespectful towards me with a purchase I made on 03/14/18, for some mattresses that I had picked out, not delivered yet, and needed to exchange. He never greeted me, just walked to the counter and asked, "now what is going on here"! I explained my situation, which, I know he had been informed of the situation by his response when he arrived at the counter. He was very unprofessional and disrespectful. He asked me if I had in my pocket $600 to give them if I wanted wanted to cancel the previous transaction on 03/14/18. I was stunned because the merchandise had not been delivered yet.. He has ruined me from shopping at ANY Ashley Store ever again. I should have gone back to the one in Cordova. read more

If I could give them negative stars, I would. Never again will I buy anything from Ashley Furniture. Bought a new living room set and bedroom set including a new mattress. Sales guy Eric was full of hot air. Made promises he didn't want to keep and kept changing his tune when I asked about the deals he promised. I was also charged for a $700 warranty package that he didn't bother to even tell me about. He was super nice til the sale was made and then his whole attitude changed. Delivery was atrocious, customer service and drivers are rude. 1st delivery went fine. 2nd delivery literally took all day because hardware was not included for the bed frame. Hardware was sent and then found out the track for the footboard was bent. 3rd delivery to replace the footboard and they drove a screw into the side rail of the bed. Driver didn't apologize for messing it up or even acknowledge it until I brought it to his attention. He acted like it wasn't his problem even though he is the one that used the wrong screw. Wrong screw wasn't replaced so I now have a big hole in my side rail AND a screw sticking out that I hope no one will cut their leg on. They also damaged my chest of drawers in the process. Customer care is an absolute joke. So now I have to take a 4th day off work so they can replace my side rails and possibly a 5th day for the new drawer to my chest (if they'll even replace it since it was already in my home, undamaged until todayI wonder what will go wrong next. Customer care refused to make up for the damage since I already had the delivery fee waived due to all the previous issues and they have to "get back to me" regarding a new drawer for my chest that they damaged since it might be repairable. News flash. You can't fix chipped wood. Once it's gone, it's gone! I wish they would come get all this furniture and refund my money so I can spend it someplace else. I have always been a huge Ashley fan and have always recommended it to others. It's sad that this company doesn't care more about their customers. I won't be back. read more

I had used Ashely in Opelika AL last year for my son when he was moving there and the process went flawlessly. This year on May 7, 2018 my other son and I went to this Ashley store to purchase the same furniture for him for his new apartment in Memphis . This process has been a nightmare. Although the items were purchased on May 7 with delivery scheduled for July 17, we have experienced delay after delay with the final delivery being today after the store could not delivery a bed frame for the purchased headboard and mattresses, we got the bed frame but were told this morning that they don't give you the hardware for it. Are you kidding me! We bought the headboard, the mattresses and the frame - but they don't include hardware!!! No other store has ever done this before! They recommended that I go to Home Depot and buy the bolts and do it myself. I have enjoyed the sales people and the delivery people which after so many failed and incorrect deliveries are now like family - and this is not their faults but rather the policy of a poorly organized and managed store. The custom service is worthless and needs to seriously take a look at what they are doing to their customers. read more

I went in to Ashley furniture with the intent to just look around and price shop. We entered at 9:30 expecting the store to close at 10. To our surprise, Anthony introduced himself to us and said they did not close till 11 or till he found something perfect for us. From there he took us all around the store. He asked lots of questions as to our wants and likes and price range. We are wishy washy and on a budget. But he was amazing. He never seemed tired of our back an forth on sofas and he never once gave us the impression that he was ready for us to leave. We finally decided on a sofa and he was able to offer us a great financing deal! Anthony was amazing and we really felt like he cared for our needs. We even got to know about him an his daughter! I was waiting for that one mess up or price change that i could use as an excuse to leave, but it never came. He sold me some great furniture that will arrive soon and I cant wait to get more from him! read more

This is the absolute worst store to buy furniture from. The employees are worthless, they are not helpful when you ask questions. They make you feel like you're a bothersome to their day behind a desk. Will never shop here again. I ordered something to be delivered, confirmed delivery through the phone and email and the products were never delivered. Nobody called me to let me know. I had to call their customer service line which is awful, again nobody can help you. They lied to me about the price i paid and the delivery. I even spoke with the manager on duty and she of course could not help me. And acted like everything was my fault. I have names but I will not say on here. The money has been processed and taken out of my bank account and i have still not received my pieces i ordered 2 weeks ago. I do not have a confirmation number to even see what happened. And no employee can seem to give me a confirmation number which tells me my pieces were never actually ordered. Nobody has offered any help to me. This business is pathetic and the manager and employees need to be fired. Worst experience getting furniture. I would love to see Ashley Furniture catch fire and close down for good. read more

Purchased a mattress 9/28/2013 from Stash - one of Ashley's stores. The mattress was pitched to me as the latest and greatest technology so I bought it. The mattress has collapsed over 2 inches on one side. They sent a team out to look at it (good) and acknowledged the damage. A month later sent another guy out to measure the damage (again, good). This guy said this was one of the worst he's seen and he has seen several claims on this (new technology) mattress. Everyone is acknowledging the damage is bad; however, they are denying the claim because the mattress tags are missing on the mattress (they ARE on the box springs, however, which was purchased at the same time). Lesson learned... don't remove the tags... Or don't do business with a company who is so narrow minded that they forgot good old fashioned customer service. read more

Just purchased a recliner from Ashley Furniture Homestore on Hacks Cross Road and it was a great experience. I have been in stores where the sales people hound you and follow you so closely and ask so many questions that it makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience. Zedric was very warm and friendly showing us exactly what we wanted and gave us the space we wanted to look around and actually shop. It was very easy going and a pleasant shopping experience. Can't wait till the recliner is delivered! read more

4 STAR rating for Kristin Williams at the Ashley store in Memphis, TN. I am from GA and was in town visiting the store. Kristin was in training, and expect she will be one of the top sales people in the store. Let her go on her own, I don't think she needs anymore training!! She was Polite, Fun, made the sale of the Recliner a comfortable joy! She stayed with me the entire time, and was great to be around. Good luck to you Kristin - You will do GREAT at this store! When I am back in TN again, I will certainly come in and buy from you. My relatives there are also going to look for you when they come into the store. Thanks so much for working the details out so that I can pick the chair up at a location closer to the home this Christmas present is going to. read more

I will never purchase a mattress from them again! It's has been 7 months since I've been back and forward with them to send a tech out because my mattress in sinking and the tech that came out stated he could see it before he could even look at it. However, I received a call stating my mattress was a half of inch away from the warranty for exchange! I have never experienced such bad service this mattress is over $1200.00 and I have to wait another 30 days because I was told by management the sealy representative will not approve it and not to waste his time. What type professionalism is that to tell your customer who has spent money with your company to rip them off with bad mattresses. I have to keep a sinking mattress! Poor service don't buy mattresses from Ashley furniture! read more

I purchased a sectional from Ashley's last year with 1 year same as cash. At the time I was told it was mandatory I pay for a warranty if something were to happen to the furniture and I told them I didn't want it once again I was told it was mandatory so I really had no choice. I took someone in the store to buy some furniture and they weren't asked or told about a warranty. So I called the finance company to ask why was it mandatory and I was told it wasn't them it was the store. So I called and was told they hold the money if you don't use it and I get to use it as a credit after the 5 years to buy something else. Well suppose I don't want to buy anything else from them. I was told when I bought it I would get it back? What if the store goes out of business what if something happened to me then what. This company is holding this money making interest is this how they get you to buy with a certain amount of time same as cash this is unfair and misleading and I wouldn't ever refer anyone to by from this company again and I wonder if the better business bureau is aware of this practice. Be up front with your customers before you take them an their money. read more

Bought a sofa at a terrific price on Black Friday. It was delivered as promised on 12/9/15. The delivery people brought it in, put the feet on it, and left. I was busy so I went back to work and didn't take the time to inspect it. When I got home I noticed a slight, but very noticeable (due to the color) scratch on the fabric. I called customer care the next day and was assured that a new cushion would be sent to me within 6 - 8 weeks. Since it was the Holidays I didn't flinch at the time. However, that came and went. I called on it two weeks ago and was told no service order was placed and I would receive a call within 48 hours. That didn't happen. Called again today - once I was hung up on. The second time I called the person told me again that no service order had been placed but she would place it for me. After a rather lengthy time on hold she told me that she could order the "casing" for me and then asked me if I also wanted the stuffing. ???? Seriously?? What the heck am I supposed to do - stuff the cushion myself - I'm sure that will look amazing! The sales experience in the store was OK for as busy as they were, the delivery was on the date I wanted and within the time frame promised however this one issue has cost them this customer. Honestly for the price I can live with the scratch but I shouldn't have to. I should have just agreed to have them replace the couch which they originally wanted to do - so much for trying to save them money! The frustration I have experienced is not worth the money I saved. read more

First I want to say, I have heard horror stories when it comes to Ashley Furniture stores and their customer service. I was surprised and delighted with my experience. Its worth to always do your research and reading reviews are good as well. But don't be afraid to see for yourself and make your own judgement. Unlike the reviews I read, I love Ashley Furniture and always has been a fan. In my opinion they make well made furniture with classic and traditional style that appeals to me. I believe you can get poorly designed furniture at any furniture store, not just Ashley. I think they are well priced for what they offer. I am well pleased with all my purchases. I bought a 4 piece bedroom set in February of this year (Juararo) set and just this past week I went back and purchased the New Lavidor dinning set with server. I have to say all my purchases were delivered on time and setup properly with no missing parts. My in store experience was also great. My sales person Al would not rest until he gave me a proper DEAL and even the person at the counter inputting all my information made a few mistakes but I was patient and he made sure to get everything correct down to the spacing in my address. I don't mind mistakes, its the customer service that I look at and my experience with Ashley's customer service was Phenomenal from the entrance to the exit!!! I look forward to purchasing more furniture in the future. read more
