I think the idea of kennels is fine for dogs, but cats are more lone wolf than the actual ancestor of the wolf... so this was the perfect solution. The first time we booked with them Louise the founder came round to meet us and the cats, answer any questions we had, and allay any fears. You then choose the number of visits and what sort of time (morning/evening) you have your pet 'sat', or dog walked, fed etc. They spend a good amount of time with your pet, playing with it, feeding it, making sure there are no problems. They even water your plants and leave a little diary so you know how your cat/dog/a.n.other has been while you've been away. We even came home to a pint of milk. I honestly can't praise this company enough, I really can't. Absolutely trustworthy and worth every single penny!!!

We were concerned about the house security (we had just been burgled!) and worried that Lucy our cat would be really lonely and not want to leave the house as mostly likes to go in the garden when we are around. How impressed we were upon our return. Far from being upset and hiding in the house, Lucy wasn't even home! It was 1am but we had to wait over an hour before she came trotting home from her jaunts! She was overjoyed to see us but she was as plump as ever (unlike her return from the cattery) and showed no signs of stress. The notes left by the visitors were detailed and reassuring and showed the level of care that we had hoped for. It also showed the security measures that had been taken on the house. And, the pint of fresh milk in the fridge was a wonderful touch!! Thank you

I wouldn't even give these kennels one star…read more.... The kennels blocks are so old and cold and generally look very dirty. I went to look round as I needed to board my two large dogs. The staff seemed to have very little knowledge about dogs and their needs. And appeared to want to rush me out of the place before answering my questions. I saw two kennels blocks - the second block being so small I can't imagine what dogs they put in there!! May I also add that there is no heating in the second block of kennels!! Dogs looked fed up and miserable, they are not walked each day as I later found out, although one of the kennel girls did tell me they were..... I wouldn't use these kennels if they were the last kennels on the planet.

Pals4pets is a great service for people who do not want to leave their pets in kennels. They cater…read morefor big and small and do both boarding in private houses, house sitting in your own house and will come and visit for a few hours a day if that is what you need. They also have a dog-walking service, cat stroking etc. We used Pals4pets recently and are very happy with the care and comfort a private carer gave our dog, who has recently undergone major knee-surgery. We went to visit the carer before going away so our dog could familiarise himself with the house and carer and so that we could talk about his habits etc. When signing up with the company you fill out a form with all a carer need to know about the dog, its health and diet. Pals4pets will consider your needs and try to pair you with a carer, who suits these the best. In our case a person who had looked after several post-surgery cases was chosen. We felt very comfortable throughout the process and had a nice time away without worrying about our dog. I would recommend this service to anyone and definitely use them again

We have used Pals 4 Pets numerous times, both for our cat to do a home-stay, as well as for her to be fed at home. The people that she has been matched up with have been consistently excellent and it is clear they really love what they do. Furthermore, they have shown real affection for our cat and it is likely that the cat gets far more attention staying with her very kind P4P hosts than she usually gets. She now has a number of dedicated fans across London, all of whom seem very happy to see her return when we are off on holiday! It has taken so much of the stress out of holiday planning and we recently contacted Pals 4 Pets when we were having construction done on our home at short notice and they continue to deliver. It is a perfect supply and demand relationship which is very effectively and professionally handled by the Pals4Pets team and if we didn't have a full-time cat ourselves, we would be honoured to host pets from time to time in the future. Many many thanks!

When my daughter was born I was really worried about how my dog would get his regular exercise as I really wasn't confident taking both the baby and the dog to the park everyday, especially on days when the weather was rubbish, but city pups proved to be a complete lifesaver. My dog absolutely loves his walks and they are soo good for him (a 'un-exercised' Jack Russell is an unhappy Jack Russell). The team genuinely love and care for the dogs, in fact, now that my Baby is a bit bigger I take my dog to the park myself and we've bumped into someone from Toms team at the park a few times and my dog is sooo excited to see them, he starts following them and forgets all about me !!
