The staff at Goodwin's service has been rude, avoidant and not taking responsibility for their product. The manager wouldn't even speak to me personally. La-Z-Boy will only work through the store. You can't speak with them directly. GOODWINS AND LA-Z-BOY do not stand by the quality if their products. There was no excuse for this. I have bought furniture from there four times now for 4 separate rooms, and I've been treated right every single time. Plus, pay 53 bucks down, 90 days same as cash (or something similar.) You can't beat it. I had issues with my living room furniture, and there was a discrepancy with my warranty, and they made it beyond right - IN 2 DAYS!! They got me better furniture, and they treated me like I was family. Between Ashton and Alma, I couldn't recommend either of them any more than what I do right now. Do yourself a favor and go visit them. It is well worth your time. Buy the Five-Year warranty, it's between $200 and $250 for everything that you buy in total (for or a single transaction, i.e.. couches, loveseats, chairs, tables, everything, ALL FOR THE $200 - AND IT COVERS EVERYTHING -). I had a rather large order (11 pieces). The delivery of several pieces was to be delayed (about 2…read moreweeks). I agreed. When I did not receive any updates at the expected time, I had to try to track things down myself, because communication with GW absolutely stinks. I called the corporate customer service number daily, often trying for a good 2 hours, only to be placed into a phone queue, and then either have my call dropped on multiple occasions or leave messages which were never returned. After several days of this nonsense I visited the store. Because nobody could give me any information about the three remaining pieces, I finally cancelled that portion of my order. Due to the items being "on-line exclusives." the staff in the store did not have the "authority" to cancel that portion of my order or initiate the refund. Only the "special orders" department people could do that and there were only 2 of them, and it was already after 3 pm, so I would have to wait until the next day for any further info. The remaining order did eventually get cancelled, but nobody contacted me with the info. So once again I had to try to reach a person in-store. Via GW's online chat I asked for a direct number to the store, and was given the corporate number once again. That's the one that always says call volumes are high, puts you into a queue, and fizzles. I asked for a direct number. The rep had to email the store to ask them to call me. Apparently nobody gets the number to the store. I did receive a call back within probably 10 minutes, and the refund process was explained to me. I was told it would be 3-5 business days to hit my Visa. Fingers crossed. All in all, the communicaction throughout this has been painfully lacking. I can't believe the store remains in business when communication is this poor. Having to call a corporate number that you may or may not get through on, only to have them email the store to relay my message, and cross my fingers that someone gets back with me is an absolutely ludicrous business practice. If after reading this and you still choose to make a purchase with GW, I wish you the best of luck.

Never heard from him. 3 visits later still no call of help. Sunday Feb 12th Steve called saying, "I got your message you left yesterday and I can help." He saw my husband message my husband wrote on yellow paper 2 Friday's ago cause he helped another customer using his note to write on the back. After you purchase the bed and it causes you pain or discomfort they charge you 10% of the cost of the mattress, delivery fee of $50-$100, and a restock fee of $97, plus whatever the difference is of the mattress you choose. I WILL NOT INVEST IN ANY PLACE THAT DOESN'T TRY TO MAKE THE CUSTOMER HAPPY!!!! I bought a mattress pad outside of mattress firm and now I'm getting peaceful sleep without pain. This made things very easy, as it allows to you almost instantly rule out 75% of the store. Another plus side is the selection. They have so many different types of mattress, that I'm sure anyone could find what they need here. They have them all from the very expensive tempurpedic mattresses all the way to the other end of the spectrum. What was very annoying is that, even though we clearly stated that we were not interested in the temperpedic mattress (very out of our price range), we were constantly being told about how awesome it was. This went on for the majority of our visit in the store, which was roughly 45 minutes to an hour. Every mattress we tried was being compared to the tempurpedic mattress, which we could have cared less about. We appreciated the help from the associate, but it was way too high pressure for our liking. We were not allowed to freely look around the store after we found what style we wanted. Instead, the associate followed our every step and "educated" us on what we need, which allowed us very little time to discuss what we wanted without being interrupted. We did shop around at other stores afterwards and ultimately ended up back at mattress firm to buy our mattress because they easily had the best deal on the mattress we wanted. This was a definite plus! While we were checking out, our salesman tried pretty hard to convince us to buy a mattress cover which costs over $100. We did not decide to get the mattress cover because we knew we could find it much cheaper (which we did on amazon. Basically the same cover, but $75 dollars cheaper with a 10 year warranty). His last sales pitch for the mattress cover was to tell us that it will not only protect your mattress, but that it will also reduce the amount of "eye boogers" you have. To try to convince us, he told us that "eye boogers" are actually the FECES FROM MICROSCOPIC ORGANISMS. This did not sound realistic to me, so I did my research and found that that is actually not completely true.
