1. Delivery truck blocked our garbage and recycle bins for about 20 minutes. Garbage truck could not perform a pickup. 2. Delivery truck was parked against the traffic, wheels not chocked (unsafe parking on incline), no four-way flashers were used. 3. Delivery team was very rude. 4. Delivery team damaged our lobby's wall(security camera video available) 5. Driver's helper ripped the lobby's thermostat housing from the wall to "adjust" the temperature(did anyone ask him to do it?), damaging the fixture(security camera video available). 6. I recently bought a sofa, loveseat and ottoman for my living room for over $4000 from Ashley's in South Common in Edmonton. In the 48 hours they gave me to report an issue it looked fine. But...when you sit on it, the bottom cushions slide away from the back and when you get up off the couch or loveseat, there are wrinkles in the fabric that don't go away as the fabric has stretched. The cushions are only covered on one side so you can't turn them over. When I reported the issue to Customer Service, Mike told me that they knew about the issue with this model of furniture and specifically with the bottom cushions. He recommended that I go get Velcro or foam (?) to put on the cushions to keep them in place. I clarified that he meant that I would do this even though the items were delivered August 28 and are less than two months old. He told me I could pick it up at any hardware store. I asked him if the sales staff had been advised of this issue. I went to the store, to ask for a refund or a store credit and was refused. I was sold furniture that was known to have an issue, but they claim there's nothing to be done. When you try to put in your information in the portal to get assistance and report an issue it does not work well either. I will never buy anything from Ashleys again nor would I recommend buying from Ashleys. I've always bought from Leon's and La-Z-Boy before and have received great service and they standby their --now I'm really wondering why I did not do it this time! I will never purchase from Ashley again. I received a damaged headboard and getting a replacement is a nightmare. Sales people are useless once they get your money and just refer you to their guest care who will not help. They wanted to take my headboard to fix it however where would I sleep while they do this as the bed will not stay together without it. Trying to get a technician to come out is like pulling teeth and the point is I paid for a new bed I would like to receive a new one not one that is stained and broken, I would have purchased second hand if I wanted this. Also delivery people are terribly rude and you have to beg them to take 5 more steps to bring the item into the front door even when its clearly snowing outside. One of the worst customer service and dealing. I purchased furniture more than a month ago and still some of items not deliver yet. More over they still giving false commitment to deliver within coming 15-20 days. When you plan to buy furniture, they will deal with you with so many commitments that you feel proud and rely upon but service is totally opposite when order placed. Even their driver installed the furniture whom they called technician. So funny. And in my case he screwed up so tight that hard part came out and for this he hide the incident and went out. When I complaint about this, they said item would replaced by manufacturer. Now it's more than 20 days and still issue not resolved. And I am suffering from it. I am helpless if there is option to give rating less than star I would give it. So my personal experience don't buy furniture from Ashley. There are lot more store. Delivery drivers were beligerent and refused to deliver to our door. DROPPED the sectional on the ground from the truck, refused to deliver to our door and wanted to leave in the alleyway. Started speaking French (I'm Canadian French) to insult us, and reloaded the couch and ostensibly stole it from us. After Ashley apologized for the inappropriate behaviour and offered to redeliver 5 days LATER they said the same deliver team was assigned and would not deliver to our home but only the alley way after promising different delivery drivers. We're now concerned with potential backlash for these drivers vandalizing our home based on their behaviour. Still have not been refunded. Videos will be posted to Reddit. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased my sectional. I would have chosen different store. I have to say the sales person that helped me was good but everything after that was not so good. I received my sectional however the delivery guys were rude and started swearing in my house while doing the delivery. They did not want to take my old couch but I told them that's what I was promised so they finally did. They wrecked my front door frame, the wood is splintered and broken off, they removed my front door and now it won't close properly. While trying to get my new sectional in they managed to knock over some flower pots (just dirt in them) that I would have gladly moved out of their way if they'd asked but I didn't think they would be in their way, the pots tumbled down the stairs and broke when they hit bottom, dirt everywhere, no apology, no nothing....they were large gentlemen and very intimidating to a woman home alone. There were three of them and maybe on of them knew what he was doing. They didn't remove or use shoe covers so my new rug was dirty. They left pieces of my old couch outside in my front yard. Worst delivery experience ever. I have bought from Leon's before and was very impressed. I will not buy from Ashley's again because of this delivery. My sales lady was able to get us the bed we wanted finally, she was told by their warehouse it would be delivered on the 28th of September, we got a call on the 27th telling us they don't have the parts for the bed we want. I have had a terrible experience with them, starting with the the purchase and now to the delivery. The salesmen (one of the managers) wasn't very honest in the way he sold the prices; sold it as him giving me better than promo deals that he doesn't give to just anyone, when it was in fact a nation wide promotion. They delivered the stuff we purchased and one of the items, a $2000 bed frame, was delivered damaged. I was told by the delivery driver that I would get a call from Ashley to set up for a technician to come out. They delivered at noon. No call today. After reading tons of reviews, I'm super worried that we just paid $2000 for a damaged bed frame. Or that we'll be waiting 10+ weeks for repairs like many other customers have stated. read more

We purchased a sofa that I saw advertised on Instagram, went in-store, paid in June. Expected delivery was mid-July. Mid-July rolls around, nothing, we check again, they say mid-Aug, again - nothing. We had bought furniture before from Ashley and were satisfied with not only the product, but the service and pick-up procedure. Not this time!!!! After paying for the furniture I was then told it would not be available for pick-up for 2 weeks. Not impressed, but my hands were tied because i was purchasing a matching piece available only at Ashley. Then...start getting texts that I could pickup early. Respond to the text...figure all is good, then another text, another text and dozens and dozens more!!!!! Phone the distribution center...we are busy recording, but they never call back as they say they will. Get a hold of someone from the text...yes we will reschedule you...and put a stop to the neverending texts. Doesn't happen!! More texts!!! Get a hold of someone from the store, They claim the power is out at the Distribution Center, thats why they are not phoning back!!!!! When I ask her if the power has been out for a week, she gives me 1-800 number to call and reschedule. He tells me my order has been pushed back another week!! Refuses to give me a phone number or email for the distribution center. "They do not talk to customers" If I would have known it was going to be this much of a runaround...I would have found somthing else at Leons across the street. I found the bedroom of my dreams in 2 stores (Ashley and Urban barn), I went with Ashley Furniture and sadly kicked myself since. The cost was higher but we were assured it was an amazing PROMO deal so we jumped on it. We were told our items would take awhile to arrive and by awhile I am on day 75 and still no end tables. So first problem my items aren't here yet and they go on sale (Like $1000 cheaper!) I had to fight tooth and nail to get that back as well I don't even have the items in my house why should I be paying $1000 for items I don't have! I was told my items would arrive today (Day 75) and so called as heard nothing and am told my items are ready for pick up!!!!! I tell them I paid $200 for white glove delivery and it's on my invoice. Horrible customer service. My boyfriend and I purchased this couch set right around Boxing Day. Haven't even had it for a year and the cushions are already pilling. I called and had one of the tech's come to the house to see it. He took pictures and said likely nothing would be done. He was absolutely right! I received a text survey after he had left, wrote my concerns... no reply. All I want is to have the cushions replaced. Very happy I did not purchase the extended warranty, would have been a waste of money. I was mistaken thinking Ashley Furniture made quality products, and had good customer service. Hopefully now that I have made this public you will chose to reach out to me to work on a solution. Horrible Experience, Just called the home store as we were told when we bought furniture that we would have 24 months to pay at no interest, after 3 months we found out we started to pay interest. When we called the store the person we talked to was extremely rude and interrupting, and started to blame us for the issue. Will never be shopping here again due to the rude staff and lies they told us over the phone. Hi to everybody!  I want to share with you our family experiences when we were buying  home furniture  from Ashley  Home  Furniture. Not so long ago we were in Canada and for the first time decided to buy furniture, we chose this store on the recommendations of our friends and acquaintances.  We hesitated whether to buy in this store because the prices are not cheap but still decided to try and made the wrong choice.  I have never seen such an attitude of how terrible everything in this store is, and the furniture in the first place.  The consultant promised that the furniture would come in a week and waited for more than 3 weeks.  When we  opened and assembled the furniture we were disappointed as they came in defects. We let the store assistant  known about it and added the photos and we requested to exchange  the whole set. We been told that everything  we be taking  care.the custom care sent technical  which did not left an report for us. He fix one think but enother they have to take it to shop to fix it. We told them again that we need to exchange  the set because  we paying  money for new stuff not for fixed stuff. So it been already  2 months.  After one more phone call to custom care  we found out that we can't  exchange  or reselect the set because  it been more than 48 hours since purchased. We cannot  understand  how did it happen because  we let them know after  2 hours than it was delivered  to our place. And they told us to wait untill the technician  come to look at it... so. Enother day enotyer story. My husband have spoke to custom care again and they said:we phoned  at the phone number that been provided and no one pick up the phone so we closed the case!!! Few days before my husband stop at the store and asked them to add his phone number to the file. He never gets a phone calls from them , only me. Because of my work I can't carry phone during my worki duties. Enother day Enother story...we phone again  to custom  care yesterday... been told that our case Been closed  because we left a bad review  for the company.  Yap of course  we can't  leave any good one because  of all this vierd  thing going around. We are tired of this attitude towards us and want to at least have a bed and sleep like normal people, in a word, not furniture but a kind of horror ... My experience with Ashley Furniture has been bad enough that I will never go back. If I could give it zero stars, I would. On April 14th, 2019 I went into this store because I had seen a dining room set I loved on their website. I wanted to purchase this set but I was a little hesitant because I was informed this set was brand new and is not on display at any store and would not be for the foreseeable future. We asked if there was any way to bring the set in (even just one chair) so that we could see it in person before investing that much money into something. The answer was a clear and unwavering no, that this product would not be in the store any time soon and there was no way to have anything in from this set so we could view it. We loved the set so much that we ended up taking the plunge and purchasing it anyway. As we were going through the financing for the dining room set, we were informed that the chairs were delayed and we would not be available until late May. We were frustrated but understanding, so we agreed to wait a month to receive our set. They were to deliver my purchased furniture on May 25th but on May 22nd I received a phone call to inform me that the chairs for my dining room set were delayed yet again and now would not be available until July 15 - yes, that is now 3 months after date of purchase. We were still being delivered the table and bench for this set on May 25th, but not the chairs. I was provided with two options on this phone call, 1) pick out a different dining room set or 2) pull a set off of a floor display in a store. I absolutely did not want a different product as this is the one I picked out and as for the second option, I was told on April 14th that there were absolutely no floor models, so I took this as meaning this would be a failed option as well. I asked how I would be compensated for this delay and was told point blank that I would not be any compensation. I asked to speak to a supervisor and I was denied this request. On May 23rd, I called the store and spoke with the sales manager, who was the same person who originally sold me the set on April 14th. He told me that while he could not get my chairs in any sooner, he could lend me different chairs that they had in the store so that we at least had something to sit on while we wait for our chairs we purchased. He told us to come in on Sunday, May 26th and he would have a selection ready for us to choose from and that we could take them home that day without cost. We arrive at the store on the Sunday and when the sales manager approached us, he had no idea who we were or why we were there. I had to explain all of this again and told him that he was the one that asked I come in when I talked to him two days ago. He reviewed our file, got up and told us to "sit tight" as he walked away. I had assumed he was going to find our chair selections, but after 30 minutes of waiting, I realized he was helping another customer. I got up and started walking around the store and ended up stumbling upon the dining room set that I had purchased displayed on their floor - the same set that was told to me would not be at the store any time soon and the same set that I was refused to get now until July 15th. I later found out that this set has been sitting in their store for several weeks at this point. So we track down the sales manager and asked why we were not told the product was now in store - he did not have a clear answer for me other than someone dropped the ball. I also told him that these are the chairs I would like to take with us today until my chairs are ready on July 15th, as he had agree to give us loaner chairs. The sales manager refused this request and instead took us to the clearance section of the store where he told us we could take home 4 scratched up chairs that did not match the table and bench I had already in my home from this set. I asked why I was not allowed to take the same chairs I purchased in April off the floor since that was an option provided to me on May 22nd when I was originally told my chairs would be delayed. His response was that the person who called me on May 22nd was wrong and that was never an option. I asked why the store received this furniture set but I have to wait 3 months for mine since I had placed my order first and am a paying customer. I again was given no answer other than "You are a valued customer and your order is the highest priority". It is clear that paying customers are NOT Ashley Furniture's highest priority - their show room and how many sales they can make is. Thank you Ashley for the embarrassing dining room I have right now with mix matched and scratched up chairs - everyone who walks into my home will be told exactly why my dining room looks awful and will be advised to never purchase from you unless they want to end up with a room looking the same way. read more

So far, we have had a terrible experience with Ashley Furniture. We spent $2000 on a new dining room table and chair set and literally 80% of the pieces they have shipped us are damaged. The process to make a warranty claim is rediculous...you have to make a claim for every single damaged piece, every leg, every chair backer etc, and you have to send pictures and info to a text app. After all that ( it took hours ), I still had to call their 1800 phone number to explain it all to them, too! At that time they advised me that I had to re-do the text claim as it didnt work on their end. So I re did the warranty claim on their texting app, for a 2nd time. Fast forward to a week or 2 later when the "new" parts show up to my front door, upon opening these "new" parts...again, 75% of them are also damaged. I call the 1800 number again to speak to a representative and they told me to send in more warranty and claim details via the stupid text messaging service again. They also told us that they have a "fix and not replace policy to protect the company" and that they will be sending someone out to fix our extremely damaged table top instead of replacing it. If we wanted to buy used, damaged junk...we would have. But instead, we spent $2k, have waited 5 or 6 weeks for them to come and take a look at the junk and we have had a broken table, chairs and bench and boxes sitting in our dining room being unused because we want it replaced...not "fixed". On top of all that, the table top is a 1 piece laminated sheet on top of wood and its chipping, has damaged corners, gouged edges likely from a fork lift or something during transport and they think that it can be fixed... well no, it cant. Not to my satisfaction, anyways. They are coming today to take a look at it and im pretty close to sending it all back to them and paying the restocking fee to rid myself of the BS with this company. I do NOT recommend anyone to shop there. We 100% will NEVER be shopping there ever again. I have numerous pictures as proof and also all of the text messages for the "warranty". Do not buy furniture from here. We bought a large amount of furniture and it was all delivered late (with no notice from the company) and damaged/broken (except one small item). Yes, nearly all of it was damaged. It's clear that quality is not something that Ashley prides itself on. Getting the damaged items replaced and repaired is also a struggle because the company's service department is chronically understaffed. They take days or weeks to respond to requests and it will be months before the furniture is replaced or repaired. It's already been a month and they haven't even sent someone out to see it yet. Ashley is all about making the sale and doesn't care after they have your money. Do yourself a favour and shop somewhere else. read more

Dec 11 219: Purchased a four pieces sectional sofa Jan 2 2020: Problem: The love seat sectional was incorrect model and color and the Chaise side and bottom fabric was damaged when delivered. Jan 11 2020: The correct love seat piece was delivered. Jan 17 2020: The incorrect love seat pieces was picked up. Feb 14, 2020: Ashley technician came inspected and try to repair fabric tear on Chaise but discovered the frame inside actually damaged. I asked them if they exchange a new chaise but they told me NO. They can only take the chaise back to their shop and fix the frame then give it back to me. As of today Feb 25, we are still wait for resolution on their damaged chaise. read more

I don't like to use Yelp as a forum for my rants but my experience with Ashley Furniture is an exception to the rule. I had purchased a dresser and nightstand from one of the locations in Calgary and had it delivered to Edmonton when I moved here. First off, the behaviour of the two delivery guys really put me off. They were completely unprofessional and having them in my apartment was a really uncomfortable experience. Luckily they weren't there for very long. I decided later that I wanted to get a second nightstand and a mirror so I ventured to the 99th Street location. I didn't like the mirror that was supposed to go with the dresser so the salesgirl suggested that I choose another mirror because "all of the mirrors work with all of the dressers". I found one I liked and decided to go with it; turns out they don't. I found this out the hard way 4 weeks later when my furniture finally arrived, of course delivered by my two favourite delivery guys (UGH!). When the mirror couldn't be attached to my dresser, I told them I wanted to return it for a refund and that they needed to take it back. I was told someone from customer service would contact me soon to deal with it. Days and days went by and I never heard from anyone. Finally I got fed up and decided to call customer service myself. They told me I'd have to deal directly with the store to get my refund and transferred me. Next the person at the store told me I'd have to deal with customer service. Being passed around was exhausting! When I refused to be transferred back, they told me someone would contact me the next day. Of course no one called me. When I called customer service AGAIN, the first person I dealt with processed my return right away. If only she'd been the one to help me in the first place... Needless to say, I am more than relieved that my adventure with Ashley Furniture is over. read more

The in store salesmen were very professional and nice. That's about all the nice I can give. When my order was delivered the coffee table looked more like a 3D puzzle then a table and the arm of our love seat was destroyed. After three weeks a technician came to fix it only to advise me it couldn't be fixed at my home. I received a call from the call centre telling me it would take three weeks for the parts to arrive at which point they would have to take the love seat to the shop for a week. So that's three months with broken furniture. I asked for them to just send me a replacement love seat and I was advised there would be a 25% restocking fee. The sales people are nice but once the company has your money forget about any sort of logical or compassionate service. read more

I will start with waiting a month for delivery they finally came, but the chairs and table were ordered wrong, totally wrong set, i was very upset. They promised they would send me a new one. The feet for the dresser were also missing screws so that couldn't be set up. Later at night i notice there is a chip taken out of the dresser. that made me furious. Buyer Beware! Purchased a 3-piece sectional, white glove delivery service and additional warranty from Ashley Furniture on June 27, 2021. I was quoted a delivery date of Friday July 2, 2021 (stated right on invoice) along with removal of my old couch (included in white glove delivery service). I received a phone call on Wednesday June 30, 2021 informing me that due to the July 1 holiday, delivery of my sectional would not be happening and that it was going to be rescheduled to the following Friday (July 9, 2021). Booked the new delivery date and time and awaited delivery. Friday July 9, 2021 arrived and the delivery team arrived and here is where things began to go wrong. First off, the removal of my old couch was not on the work order (something that needed to be added at time of sale apparently - I stressed this had to happen when purchasing the couch originally and was assured my old couch would be removed when they delivered my new one). The delivery team was able to contact whoever and removed my old couch. They then began to bring in my couch - when they started to leave after only delivering 1/3 pieces, I asked where the other 2 were and I was informed that there was only the 1 piece on the truck to be delivered and that I would need to contact Guest Services to find out the delivery of the other 2 pieces. I phoned Guest Services and was told that the other 2 pieces were still in Calgary and would not be scheduled to arrive in the Edmonton warehouse until the following week. I stressed my frustration and said I was ready to just cancel the entire thing and get ALL my money back to which they said I could bring back the 1 piece that had been delivered and pay a 10% restocking fee! I was also told that any further issues would need to be discussed at the store level. I phoned the Edmonton South store directly and asked to speak with Bikram. I was told that he was on a "conference call" and that he would give me a call back. Never received any call back from him. Phoned the store again and asked to speak to the store manager Matt - was told he was unavailable/off for the day and that he would give me a call back. I never received a call back from anyone at the store level. Fast forward to today (Friday July 16, 2021) I phoned Guest Care again to find out the status of the delivery of my couch as it was supposed to have arrived in the Edmonton warehouse this week. I was told by Guest Care that it now wasn't supposed to get delivered to the Edmonton warehouse until Friday July 23, 2021! I asked the Guest Care agent if there was a manager or someone that I could speak to and was told that they don't escalate calls and there was no manager I could speak to. Phoned the Edmonton South store directly and asked to speak to Matt (store manager) who apparently is now on holidays. I asked to speak to any manager available (I didn't want another broken promise of a call back so I stayed on the line until someone was available) and was put through to the sales Manager. Told the Sales Manager what was going on and was told that he would look into it and give me a call back in 5 - 10 minutes. 2 hours later and still no call back. Phoned the store again to speak with the Sales Manager and was told that he was unavailable because he was on a "conference call" and once again was promised a call back. If the furniture is not in stock do not order it, it will take forever to receive. We order in November and were told couches will be in stock in the beginning of February+- couple weeks. They delivered one couch in the April then in couple weeks another, both are broken. We reported that our couch is broken the same day we received it (we wanted to return it but were told we can't), technician came only in 2 weeks, then we were told we need to wait another week just to order replacement parts and after ordering - another 2-4 weeks to receive. We waited for a month and no one calls, after we contact them they said the order didn't go through and they reorder parts again, omg...the story is long and there is more to tell, each step was f**ked up. We lived for weeks with 2 broken couches and 4 month baby at home. No one cares. Every time we come to the store they "can't help; I don't know anything; no one told me this". Our sofa was left in damaged packaging in the snow, multiple pieces have been broken, it was manufactured with 50% of the batting in the back sofa cushions. We have been a customer of Ashley in Stony Plain since 2010. Our experience was great with our Sales Agent, he was really listening and was able to show, explain to us throughly the things we are buying. On top of that he is not pushy like other salesmen we have met. However, just recently we went to the same store to finalize things, and the Sales Manager approached us. His actions were totally different from our agent. He was totally RUDE and ARROGANT. We complained to the Store Manager, and after several days we were contacted. He although he explained what happened, the Store Manager was not sincere in admitting that his Sales Manager had offended us We didn't feel the warm accommodation from the Manager. Worst customer experience ever! I have bought a couch over 2 months ago and funny enough I still haven't receive it. They kept delaying my delivery date while blaming the manufacturer then I finally receiver a damaged piece. They told me they will send someone to fix it, 3 weeks later they called me and said that they have to reschedule the fix since they ordered the piece needed to a wrong address as if it's my fault. The managers there didn't give a s***t about how I felt nor that I have been sitting on the floor for the past few months. Still haven't received my 2nd piece of my sectional. Ashley took for ever to get our bed room set months after they said it would be in, when it did arrive it was damaged and there delivery people were gross sweating all over the furniture and floors, the furniture was damaged and they still after 6months haven't fixed or replaced. In August 2020 I bought a bedroom set from Ashley HomeStore at 1430 - 99 Street in Edmonton. The item was delivered and when it was set up in my bedroom, we didn't like it so we returned it for an exchange. They charged a 10% restocking fee, which we agreed to. We picked out a new bedframe in August and it was delayed in arriving. It only arrived last week (around October 7th). We paid the additional delivery fee and set up fee (I believe it's $175) and when the staff set it up, they set it up improperly such that the first night my partner and I used it (a king sized wooden bed frame), the side rail broke into several pieces. We contacted the store to ask for a replacement and they told us that they do not know when replacement parts would be available. I then asked for a refund. They stated they will charge a 25% restocking fee for a refund, this after the 10% restocking fee was already charged and they cannot deliver on their product. In addition, they are going to charge an additional $175 to pick up the broken bedframe. Completely dissatisfied with the service here. Takes way too long to deliver and if their product is faulty and they can't replace it, they won't refund you without charging an arm and a leg. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. The only reason I financed my purchased was because there was zero percent financing. I even specifically asked, "are there any fees or will this financing cost me anything?" and I was told, in no uncertain terms by the person arranging the financing, that financing was completely free.
