Bought bed over a year ago and the motor for the massage has gone. After contacting them several times 10x nothing yet. But I should have known as I bought a bed from them and returned it after owning it for 9 yrs was 2,500 dollars and I had a hell of time before I got it exchanged and it was a sterns and foster. The worst experience ever! I ordered furniture for almost $4000. I've been to the store 3 times to complain and have called the office in Winnipeg about 10 times now. Every single item I've ordered was damaged and poor quality. I've missed 3 days of work so that they can deliver, replace or pickup items needing to be returned. Once they send you the damaged furniture they want nothing to do with it. Once they have your money you are on your own. There is no manager you can speak to. It's been 2 and a half months and I still have broken furniture needing to be replaced. They are so unorganized and just don't care. I assure you that your furniture will have missing screw and bolts, chips and dents. The railings will be broken off the cabinets. They will do nothing to help you and you will be waiting for months to get things dealt with. read more

I visited their store in search of a dining table/set. I didn't end up buying from them because I couldn't find what I was looking for. But my experience with their staff was really good. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, they are not operating at full capacity. So, you may need to wait if the store has reached the maximum limit of people. The lady welcomed us upon our arrival and a sales rep. came forward and introduced himself and offered help if we needed. If I could give -10 stars I would. I spent three thousand on the biggest pile of garbage from the Burlington store. It's an oversized chase lounge with a two-seater couch. It's the fuzzy kind. Within a month, it was flattening out and very uncomfortable, the back cushions slids down pushing out the part you sit on. I had the foam replaced, The guy doing that job said it is the worst couch Ashley's has made and the new foam lasted three weeks before it flattened out. I threw out the throw pillows because they smelled like death. This rip-off company refused to do anything about this poor-quality pile of garbage. I bought from Ashely's because I was told everything is made in Canada BUT its all made in the States. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY. Now I am stuck with this dump for the next 10 or so years. I have blankets and flat pillows under the seating to try to make is better but that doesn't work. i HATE YOU ASHLEYS FURNUTER. I hope you enjoy selling garbage to people who save for years to buy something new. When reading the other reviews I noticed the same canned response to each complaint like they are reading them. WARNING: Do not buy from Ashley Furniture! I ordered a sectional sofa from Ashley's. Waited almost two years for the item to arrive, even though I paid in full in advance. I also paid for their do-called premium delivery service. For an extra fee if almost $200 they promised to: 1. Remove my old sofa to the curb. They didn't. 2. Assemble the new sofa. They didn't. 3. Take away all packaging. They didn't. However, this is the least of my complaint. The three-member crew caused major damage both to my hardwood floors and my drywall when transferring things in and out of my home. No protection mats were placed in the floors and they tracked in dirt from their shoes that they left for me to clean up. But that's still not all. I called the company the same day to complain about the damage done to my home. The representative assured me her supervisor would call me back within a few business days. No one ever did. So I followed up by email and text messages. Then I followed up again. And again. And again. I finally wrote a letter mailed by registered post directly to the president. Someone finally called me back, not to address the issues, nor even to apologize and attempt a resolution. No. Instead the "customer service" rep informed me that I didn't file my complaint in time. Apparently calling them the same day the damage occurred wasn't good enough for them. I had to "prove" I called them, even though they acknowledged receipt of my subsequent multiple emails and texts. This company will bob and weave long enough to then accuse the customer if not having filed a complaint in time. They won't apologize. They won't refund the extra charges for delivery services not rendered. And they certainly won't take responsibility for their own actions. NEVER again will I buy anything from this absolutely disgraceful company. I warn everyone to stay away from this company and bring your business to an organization that cares about their customers! read more

A year ago we bought what we affectionately refer to as the Ottoman Empire of couches and we're very pleased and would have left a review of 4 or 5. However, a recent purchase 2 of 3 pieces to a sectional were damaged only to be discovered after the delivery lads had gone. Piece #1; 10 days after a damage claim was submitted and followed up buy multiple calls (which were never returned with answers) a decision was made, to come next Tuesday to pick up the piece for it to be returned "in 1 week" from pick up. Purchased July 1st. Delivered July 4th, Should have a functional couch on July 26th. In the mean time I'm living with broken furniture and packaging littering my home. Piece#2, bent base frame preventing two sectional pieces nesting together. Solution, "we'll send you an new rail, when you get it call us and we'll send a technician to replace it." They sent the wrong rail. Reordered... who knows when that will come in. On the same order came two bar stools, in boxes! If I was in the mood to assemble furniture I would have shopped at IKEA. Through out this who experience, I felt, the onus was on me to take responsibility for my own customer satisfaction. I feel the the right thing to do on Ashley's part would to have replaced the damaged units with new ones immediately and done the repairs on their own time. I'm happy with the actual couch we purchased, but as soon as the delivery guys left our house, I did notice a few threads and it looked like the fabric was loose at the bottom of the couch. I took a few photos and emailed the sales rep (at the Burlington location) that day - and asked him what could be done. No answer. I have since followed up on the email and again no answer. We have since turned the couch on its side so we could put adhesive felt pads on the feet to prevent scratching our wood floors and also noticed a massive tear in the fabric underneath the couch. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!- its a long review but I am mad! This was the worst experience I have ever had from start to finish. We ordered a sectional couch, and were provided with the tracker for the day of delivery. They showed up 2 hours before their scheduled time, we were not ready. They drop off a couch and as we unpack we realize they one piece is broken, like it was dropped. We called immediately. Their solution was to order a new upholstery piece- which we had to wait 3-4 weeks to have delivered to out home. When it arrived, we called and arranged for them to pick up the piece that was broken and the piece to fix it. They were to have it for a week. Ashley furniture came to pick up the piece and scratched the paint off our less than year old door ( which cost more than the couch). I immediately asked what they are going to do about the door they ruined- he took pictures and sent them in and said "don't worry, it'll be covered.. What a lie!! After almost 2 months, they came back and said the claim was denied as the driver said he does recollect this happening.. why would he take picture? There is no changing their mind. James (manager) said it was the drivers word over ours, and they of course didn't side with us, their solution was for me to go through our insurance and that there was nothing they would do and there was no one else I could speak to to change their mind, so here I am, educating you about the shadiness that is Ashleys Furniture ... do your research, buy from a reputable company. I've never ordered anything from this company before, maybe it's good, but I had a problem with the truck driver.. he blocked the exit of parking lot, I couldn't drive through. When I asked him ,nicely, to move semi truck just a little, he said-no. He blocked all exit for 10 min. I didn't have time, I had emergency situation at home , he didn't move ! One of the worst products is the sectional I bought from here. Terrible quality, after 18 months the inside started to rip and the staples are exposed making it very dangerous as someone could cut their hand from it. I called customer care to discuss this issue and they were not interested in helping me and that is after I was put on hold for a very long while. I had to fight my way to speak to a manager after the CSR refused to transfer me. This store is a joke. We ordered a dining table and 8 chairs. After 4 delays and waiting 3 months, we were told our set had finally arrived at the warehouse. We scheduled delivery for all the items, yet only the chairs were delivered. The drivers said the table was never loaded into the truck. This is completely unacceptable and paying for "white-glove service" is a HUGE waste of money. I'd rather sit on the floor than have to shop at this horrible store. GIVE US OUR TABLE and refund me the delivery charge! read more

When I first paid for my side table in the summer, I was told that I would receive it in early September. When that date came and went, I contacted the store to find that due to supply issues, the product would not be arriving until the end of the month. Certainly, with the Covid issues that we've all been experiencing, I was very understanding and looked forward to the accent table arriving at the end of the month. At the end of the month, I received no table and again I reached out to my sales representative, who told me that the product was additionally held up and wouldn't be available until mid-October. Again, understanding that there were several elements out of the hands of the sales team, I didn't think too much about this, and waited again for the date given to me to expect a call. You can guess how this story goes, I received no call, and had to reach out a third time to ask about where my accent table was. At this stage I was told to speak to the delivery people directly and they would help with this product and getting it to me. Finally, I received a call about a delivery date, which would be the first week of November. Not wanting to delay any longer, I agreed to this time, and requested an end of day delivery, because of my job, and I don't have the opportunity to wait for a delivery before going to school. The person told me it would be delivered that Friday afternoon.  Well, Friday rolled around, and I got a call, telling me that the delivery had to be cancelled, because the driver couldn't make the delivery because of 'personal issues'.  At this stage my patience was more than thinning, and while I understand that the drivers are human too, I think your company owed it to me to find a way to get this product to me. I've been waiting for a very long time, for a product I had paid for in full on the day of sale. This is unacceptable treatment of your customers, and if this issue is strictly one of your delivery services, you need to talk to them about much better customer service. I was given a phone call to rebook the delivery, the woman I spoke to on the phone seemed cordial and helpful. I explained again that I needed the delivery to be at the end of the day, because my job demands would not allow me to present for furniture delivery when I'm supposed to be teaching. She said that she couldn't guarantee the time, but 'would mention it'.  A day or so later, I got a text telling me that the delivery would be the upcoming Tuesday (I believe) in the morning and asked for a confirmation or a request for a rebook. I pushed the button for rebook and was told I would be contacted by the booking agency.  That Tuesday, when I was working, I was interrupted by a call from a driver telling me he's on his way to my house....I explained that I had pushed the button asking for a rebook and that I CAN'T BE AT HOME FOR A DELIVERY IN THE MORNING. A few days later, I was contacted by a booking agent again, and once again I stressed the importance of a late day delivery because of my job. The woman said she couldn't promise the time but 'would add it to my file'. I was then contacted by a second truck driver during the day and told they were on their way to my house. At this stage, I'm feeling quite livid. I explained, again, that I'm at work and won't be able to receive the delivery today. After this I was contacted via text about another delivery date, which I agreed to, hoping to speak to someone about having it later in the day. I received a call from someone and for the fourth time, explained why I needed a late day delivery and that drivers can't just show up at my house and expect me to be there. I explained how frustrating this all was. This person was somehow magically able to book me on the weekend, which I was able to receive at any time. This brings us to today. I was waiting for the delivery truck, while working on some things around the house. I had been told by a previous booker that they would put the item in the part of my house that I wanted them to. In this particular case, it was not very far from the front door, but I appreciated that degree of service. When the delivery truck came, the driver carried the package to my front door, took a picture, and drove away. I was a little perplexed and annoyed that it was not already assembled but carried it over to the spot myself and proceeded to put the accent table together. Given all the steps that have been involved in getting this table, the delays, the scheduling hiccups, and the outright poor customer service I received, I'm sure you can't understand how it just seemed to be the icing on the cake when I took the box apart and found pieces missing!!!!! My husband and I bought a bedroom set from Ashley, and were told that delivery included moving our existing furniture. The delivery people arrived, told me they could not move the furniture, and stood there watching me move it on my own, while trying to calm my 5 month old baby. These same delivery people asked me for water, spilled it all over our hardwood bedroom floors, and left the mess for me to clean up. We were also not told that our pieces would come in 2 separate orders. When the dresser arrived a week after the bed and nightstands, it was rust-stained, 4 out of 6 drawer tracks were very crooked, and there was paint all over the wooden top. It looked terrible. I had to argue with customer service on the phone for over an hour before they would agree to exchange the dresser. They wanted to send a tech out to repair it, but I did not want to pay full price for a brand new dresser only to receive a refurbished piece. They told me that "repair over replace" is their policy, which speaks to how many items they ship out that are in need of immediate repair. The customer service rep also told me that they would make sure our new dresser went through VIP inspection before being shipped out. This is how I learned that they don't regularly inspect their furniture before shipping it out, which explains how we received the first dresser that looked about 20 years old. We received our new dresser today. One of the handles is installed backwards. We are just going to fix that ourselves because I can't spend another hour on the phone dealing with them. I will definitely never shop here again, and I would not recommend it to anyone else. It took us over a month to receive this furniture in the new condition we paid for, and we had to devote (in total) 9 hours waiting for deliveries. In the end all they gave us was a refund for half of the delivery fee. When you spend close to $4000 on furniture and deliveries, you expect a certain standard of service and quality. It quickly became an exercise in convincing every employee I spoke with to have some basic respect in their work and their product. No one seemed to care very much about the service or quality once they had our money. We have a good portion of our new house left to furnish, and none of it will come from Ashley. read more

Waited two weeks for another couch to be sent and then I was sent the right couch but a BROKEN one! And have to wait another 3 weeks and have sold my old couches .. now my wife, 9 month old son and I will be sitting on the floor for the next 3 weeks waiting for a couch!! Bought a chair and half that came delivered in cellophane, when opening saw that a corner was damaged and sent photo to them only to have them want to repair the chair, I objected and wanted a refund only to find out they will be charging 25% restocking fee (or some other reason) upon return! dont ever order furniture from ashley furniture they are terrible.took 5 deliveries just for a loft bed and a night stand and a table with 8 chairs and a server.the night stand came damaged and the kicker was they tried covering it up by painting over the damage.the table came with 8 chairs they only delivered 2 and the one chair had glue on the bottom of the legs which got all over my new floor which there saying they will not pay for or fix.they also didnt deliver the server on the first delivery also.it has taken 5 deliveries just to get all my furniture oh and on the fourth delivery they only brought 4 chairs cause they lost the other 2 chairs.unbelievable never again would i ever think of getting furniture from ashley again.ashley keep doing this to customers and youll be out of business soon. p.s by the way i forgot to mention one of the delivery guys told me this stuff goes on alot with this company and he feels bad for whomever gets treated like this. read more
