Damage to my home caused by Ashley's

WARNING: Do not buy from Ashley Furniture! I ordered a sectional sofa from Ashley's. Waited almost two years for the item to arrive, even though I paid in full in advance. I also paid for their do-called premium delivery service. For an extra fee if almost $200 they promised to: 1. Remove my old sofa to the curb. They didn't. 2. Assemble the new sofa. They didn't. 3. Take away all packaging. They didn't. However, this is the least of my complaint. The three-member crew caused major damage both to my hardwood floors and my drywall when transferring things in and out of my home. No protection mats were placed in the floors and they tracked in dirt from their shoes that they left for me to clean up. But that's still not all. I called the company the same day to complain about the damage done to my home. The representative assured me her supervisor would call me back within a few business days. No one ever did. So I followed up by email and text messages. Then I followed up again. And again. And again. I finally wrote a letter mailed by registered post directly to the president. Someone finally called me back, not to address the issues, nor even to apologize and attempt a resolution. No. Instead the "customer service" rep informed me that I didn't file my complaint in time. Apparently calling them the same day the damage occurred wasn't good enough for them. I had to "prove" I called them, even though they acknowledged receipt of my subsequent multiple emails and texts. This company will bob and weave long enough to then accuse the customer if not having filed a complaint in time. They won't apologize. They won't refund the extra charges for delivery services not rendered. And they certainly won't take responsibility for their own actions. NEVER again will I buy anything from this absolutely disgraceful company. I warn everyone to stay away from this company and bring your business to an organization that cares about their customers!

A year ago we bought what we affectionately refer to as the Ottoman Empire of couches and we're very pleased and would have left a review of 4 or 5. However, a recent purchase 2 of 3 pieces to a sectional were damaged only to be discovered after the delivery lads had gone. Piece #1; 10 days after a damage claim was submitted and followed up buy multiple calls (which were never returned with answers) a decision was made, to come next Tuesday to pick up the piece for it to be returned "in 1 week" from pick up. Purchased July 1st. Delivered July 4th, Should have a functional couch on July 26th. In the mean time I'm living with broken furniture and packaging littering my home. Piece#2, bent base frame preventing two sectional pieces nesting together. Solution, "we'll send you an new rail, when you get it call us and we'll send a technician to replace it." They sent the wrong rail. Reordered... who knows when that will come in. On the same order came two bar stools, in boxes! If I was in the mood to assemble furniture I would have shopped at IKEA. Through out this who experience, I felt, the onus was on me to take responsibility for my own customer satisfaction. I feel the the right thing to do on Ashley's part would to have replaced the damaged units with new ones immediately and done the repairs on their own time. Their customer care department was bottlenecked at the technician approval stage and too many people made notes on this file to be able to communicate effectively.

I've never ordered anything from this company before, maybe it's good, but I had a problem with the truck driver.. he blocked the exit of parking lot, I couldn't drive through. When I asked him ,nicely, to move semi truck just a little, he said-no. He blocked all exit for 10 min. I didn't have time, I had emergency situation at home , he didn't move ! Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of license plate, I was very stressed out.

I…read morewas looking online for oil and vinegar bottles that would take my kitchen to the next level. I came across Linen Chest as an option. I actually haven't heard of them before or at least, didn't really notice. I found out that they're Canadian, family-owned, and female-owned interestingly enough. The online options were plentiful but I really wanted to be able to feel the quality of what they had. The store is pretty new in Mapleview and huge! It's split half half between kitchen and bedding. They have all manner of kitchenware and utensils, including small appliances. There's a lot of selection of everything and they usually have them out of the box so you can pick things up and get a feel for them. There were a lot of drink machines to choose from like espresso makers and carbonated water machines, including branded ones like Nespresso and SodaStream. They have a lot of collections and sets that you can coordinate between. There was ultimately a little too much selection as I needed a night to sleep on things lol.
