We bought a Lazy Boy recliner here. It did not work right, so we called and they sent a repairman. Still was not right, so we called again, and they sent a repairman. Still not right, so we called and told them we wanted to return it. When we went to the store, the financial manager told us that we had $1,600 credit from the chair. They also told us that we were to keep the chair, and do whatever we wished with it. We picked out another chair, and she then said we had a $500 balance. We were fine with that, and told them that we would be back at a later date, and we had 30 days to spend this credit. We came back on an evening, picked out a discounted mattress and a new end table. Meanwhile, I received a call from the financial manager, and she stated that they would have to take the chair back. We were find with that. She called again the next day and said we owed money for the new chair. I had to remind her that we were exchanging the defective chair for a new one. We picked up the mattress a couple of days later, and the end table had not been shipped yet. We received a receipt from Ashley that day stating that we owed ZERO on this mattress and table. A week later, the financial manager called and stated that we owed money on the mattress and the table. We reminded her that we had a credit for these items. She said the credit amount was wrong, even though we had paperwork stating that we owed zero. This is very poor management, as they made the mistake. Number one, we will never purchase anything else from Ashley. And two, the financial management does a terrible job. The two salespersons that we dealt with were very friendly and courteous. That's the only thing they have going for them! read more
