This is by far the tiniest airport I've ever been to. It's essentially two hallway. One has the…read moreticket and rental car counters and the other is the security line with a pizza place. Once through security there is one waiting room for the two gates. Although gates is a fancy way of saying doors because you walk directly onto the runway and to your plane. Security was very thorough. They pulled both my bags and the guys that was behind me. They found nothing in my backpack of interest but took my face wash from my suitcase, which had made it through Ft. Lauderdale just fine. They spent several minutes rechecking the x-ray footage a couple times, so I can see where this can get backed up if they pull a ton of bags. Once through security your only food option is a small kiosk from the pizza place offering pizza, popcorn, snacks and drinks. The good thing about this airport is the route from FLL is not super popular so both flights were only half full with plenty of room for everyone to spread out.

Lots of butterflies and squirrels. We managed to see a Heron fishing and flying. That made the trip in my opinion. We walked around the lodge. Not too much to see in there. Looks like a decent enough place to stay. Staff wasn't very friendly but I guess you can't expect much out of government employees having to work a holiday.

The room was nice, the staff was friendly, and the hotel was very quiet. We ordered room service one morning, and the breakfast was great and came really quickly! Our room was near the back door on the first floor, so we often used that entrance instead of going through the lobby, which was really convenient. The hotel is also super close to a lot of food options. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5/5 is because our room was pretty warm at night, so sleeping wasn't the most comfortable. I also wish there had been an ice machine on the first floor like there was on the other floors. Overall, it was a nice stay and I'd consider staying again. I just wish our room had been a little cooler!

This full-service hotel has a restaurant and bar onsite, a gym, a pool, guest laundry and conference rooms. The room I stayed in was a king suite, which was a large and spacious room. The room was clean and modern with a very comfortable bed and sectional sofa. The bathroom was large and had a dual sink outside the bathroom. The bathroom fan worked very well and cleared out the steam from the shower in just a few minutes. You will need a parking pass when you check in, or you may be towed. Overall, a great one-night stay in a very clean, modern hotel with friendly, helpful staff.
