This is a small park. Used to fish this pond as a child. This was where a kind homeowner let everyone fish. It's interesting bringing my son back, as the city now has this as an official park. Am not sure if the house was torn down or how that process happened. Yet it's got plenty of wildlife to see. So far no fish have been caught by my son, although it's fun seeing him get casts in.
This is a pleasant place for a hike. Have seen other folks put up pictures, and hope to spend time with northern water snakes and black rats. There is considerable algae on the water. I'll leave that up to biologists and others to explain. As for the trail it is small. The walkable bridges are a nice touch. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but for residents and close by visitors it's quite peaceful. Also there are nice tables and benches as well. read more
