If there was a way to leave less than one star I would. Under NO circumstances whatsoever should a doctor ridicule and make light of a parents concerns. EVER. My wife took our 10 month daughter for her well child check excited to see how she was growing and came out in tears because that told her that she was horrible for having questions about the vaccine schedule. I am PISSED at this clinic. I work in a pediatric clinic for crying out loud!!! If someone has concerns you don't laugh at them and tell them they're are a horrible parent because they have concerns. APPLAUD them for thinking critically and wanting them to protect their child. If they want to spread out the vaccines who cares?! You get to more money out of it so shut the fuck up and do your job as a doctor and HELP rather than BELITTLE. Horrible. No other way to describe it. DO NOT come here. read more

The care rendered to my child left a lot to be desired. I cannot in good conscience recommend this practice in any capacity as a parent of a neurodivergent child for almost 7 years & a licensed specialist healthcare professional providing therapeutic services to special needs individuals for almost 10-years in multiple states. Dr.Carol ignored important info in my child's medical file without any basis or justification of any reasonings or rationales when she made multiple inconsistent treatment recommendations, referrals, & ordered lab blood work. Her lack of basic good judgement resulted in inappropriate basic care rendered when she: (1) ...tried to order the wrong blood work until I pointed out what was actually needed and referred her to where to look in my child's recent medical file history (it had only been like 3 months) to find his previous blood work, provider notes on what was being monitored, rationales for the labs, & what other follow up labs were needed. (2) ... omitted a serious medical condition from school emergency paper work, against ALL basic healthcare standard operating procedures & previous providers recommendations to ensure all of my child's caregivers are made aware of the serious potentially life threatening neurological condition. (3) ... declined to communicate on school forms the full list of known & potential signs of a discrete medically significant neurological events with potentially life threatening consequences. (4)... excluded the means to accurately discriminating normal behaviours VS malingering VS the relevant signs of the discrete occurrence of a medically significant neurological event caused by a serious medical condition known to afflict my child for several years, much less explain why or what was being looked for. (5) ...omitted basic safety information and protocol for responding to my child's allergies on the schools paperwork; (6) ...inaccurately reported how to respond to the allergic condition on school paperwork; (7) ...referred my child to a pediatric cardiologist for a condition that was resolved & no symptoms so my child didn't meet criteria specified to return to this type of specialists. I had to have the pediatric neurologist & a new paediatrician completely redo my child's medical paperwork for school due to the copious errors. Between Dr.Carol & what others with Ashburn Pediatrics conveys, company policies promote a culture preventing the most vulnerable patients from receiving basic competent care they need by providers: (1)... over reliance on the ADOS without appropriate utilisation of any professional judgement when using the ADOS without understanding test design, publisher's directions, or scientific research by failing to appropriately directly observe peer interactions for the social communication deficits that are hallmark of ASD & help confirm or rule out other conditions with similar presentations. (2) ... intentional misrepresentation of insurance policies procedures to parent's when claiming requirements of an ADOS results confirming ASD because it's the "gold standard." Reality is only Tricare requires 1:6 approved tests to confirm ASD for related therapeutic referrals. I can't tell if it's because a lack of competency they're just lazy or both. (3) ...use nonsensical assertion they've "been doing this for over 20 years" to support erroneous claims when presented with solid contradictory evidence while dismissing parents, other professionals, & reality printed in insurance policies. I'm impressed Dr.Carol & the practice has gotten away with being wrong for so long, but not surprised from the sound of how readily they drop patients. As my child's previous Neurologist stated to me & I now tell my patients parents: "We don't have to agree on everything. What matters is we work together for the best interest of your child. I determine my treatment recommendations from what others tell me & test results. I'm open to learning & new info parents share because I can't be everywhere all the time to see or read everything & every child is unique. I can be wrong & know my limits & that's why I ask for help from colleagues like Dr.Abe & ask if you feel comfortable with my ongoing care." Don't expect any of this from Ashburn pediatrics practice. Office staff is rude to parents & unprofessionally imposes their personal opinions of patients & parents when relaying information to providers when she claimed I requested a referral for my child that my child already had & didn't need because the current authorisation was still good for another year of the standard 2years treatment authorisation period. She erroneously assumed all parents don't know these things when she put blatant nonsense in my child's file for her own personal issues & reasons. read more

My friend recommended me here as she bring both her kids. I've been bringing my baby here for the past 4 months and have had nothing but a great experience. We love Dr Reilly, she is so sweet and always sings to my daughter. The nurses are also very helpful and friendly. I saw Sara who was a lactation consultant and she was very helpful. It's scary being a new mom but everyone at the practice has been kind and helpful. It is also very easy to get an appointment. I would definitely recommend them! read more

We have been with Ashburn Pediatrics for over a decade and a half. Doctors and staffs are amazing. However, since it is bought/merged to Loudoun Medical Group, billing appears becoming questionable. Now they charge/bill the "extra" time they spend to call the patience to go over lab results. I really hope getting bigger does not mean losing personal touch that they have extended over a decade and not being transparent billing practice. My 3 kids have been visited this office for years. Their admin is getting worse and worse most recent couple years. This time, I turned in an organization medical exam form 3 days in advance, and informed that I need the form before Sunday. The front desk even put a stick-note on the form to be ready on Saturday. However, when I called Saturday morning, and was told not ready. If they informed me the form wouldn't be ready on time when they accepted the form and charged me $40, I would go some other medical provider for this. Now, they let me hanging out here, couldn't enroll my kids in the organization activity!! read more

We've had issues with the doctors here for years now. 1- They very much dislike that we are seeing a functional medicine doctor for my child's complication medical condition and have stated so in many ways 2- they have aggressively pushed vaccines over and over even after we politely decline (optional vaccines to be specific), and these shots are specifically contraindicated for my child's complicated medical condition. 3- One doc there we had to stop seeing because she told my son in front of his younger siblings that he would get sores on his privates (she used the real word) if he did not get the HPV vax. 4-- At our last visit my child, with anxiety and neurological symptoms due to his medical condition did not want the "hernia" part of the physical exam where they have to look down your pants and feel around, the doctor was doing for his sports physical so I politely declined. The doc got very angry and irritated with both of us and refused to fill out the paperwork. I kindly asked her what they did with special needs children that had sensory issues or anxiety issues with parts of the exam and she told me in front of him that if he had special needs he shouldn't be going to camp or sports anyway!!!. She then continued to press on me for delaying a meningitis vaccine (again, due to his complicated medical condition and our functional doctor's advice) and kept asking when we would get it. When I said when our team of doctors said it was OK, we would then get it, she pretty much stormed out and was done with us. Literally, done, We got a letter a day later they are dropping us as patients. I've heard this happens a lot with this practice if you dont follow their regime of shots they want you to have. read more

My review isn't for the doctors or nurses because they are all very helpful and nice. This review is solely for billing, the office manager and customer service. I moved here two years ago and found this practice through the Washingtonian magazine as top doctors in the area. Everything was fine with doctors visits and payments until there was an issue with my insurance. After going back and forth and time lapsing while I'm trying to resolve the insurance issue, Ashburn Pediatrics sent my bill to collections. I have never received a collection letter and Ashburn Pediatrics was still sending me a statement for the balance due. I went ahead and paid the bill directly with Ashburn Pediatrics. Again - I never received a collection letter. Meanwhile, my daughter is entering middle school and loudoun county required an annual physical and vaccinations so I called and made an appt. I received a call from Carol in the billing department and she explained that since my daughters account was sent to collection they can no longer see my daughter. I explained to her that this is my pediatrician office for all my children. It doesn't make sense for me to take one child somewhere and the others somewhere else. I was told verbatim "maybe you should just transfer them all somewhere else". What the heck?! Who tells a loyal customer to take their business elsewhere over an account that's been paid?? I wasn't satisfied with the response or the service I received so I requested to speak to the office manager. A day later I get a call and explained my story to her all over again and at the end was told, "I'm not sure why you wanted to speak to me, you were given the correct information". These people do not care about your kids or business. They are not willing to work with you nor have any understanding of normal life and issues that arise. They are so stuck on their policy - may I add, it is a ludicrous one, that they will tell you to transfer your entire family elsewhere. Please do yourself a favor and find a more professionally managed organization. It's basically what they told me to do. read more

My 3 children have been coming to this practice for many years since they were very young, and my youngest (now age 18) still prefers this practice. The doctors and nurses are thorough and professional, and successfully treated all sorts of childhood illnesses over the years. Their 7:30 am walk-in service is a blessing and has avoided many visits to the local "doc-in-a-box" urgent care places I prefer to avoid. I've never had any issues with the professional or business/billing staff or practices. I'd recommend this practice to anyone looking searching for a family medical practice they can trust. read more

My son is almost 1 and we primarily have seen Dr. Carroll since he was 6 months. After a bad experience at another pediatrician, I was so hesitant about starting over at another practice but I've been 100% satisfied with every nurse, Dr, and PA we've seen there. My son is in daycare and has had it all...RSV, hand, foot, mouth, colds after colds, fever, diaper rashes, multiple ear infections etc. I take him in every time something is off for a sick visit (because I'm crazy!) and thank god for those walk-in hours. Go early before 7:30 because people line up at the door but you'll be in and out within 15 minutes. Tip: schedule your physical appointments ASAP because they book up fast. I absolutely love Dr. Carroll, but can't say a bad thing about anyone on the staff. I was SO happy we made the change to Ashburn Pediatrics when we did. read more

I have two children and have been going to this practice for 7 years. At first I was just so-so with this practice. After about a year I met all the doctors and found 2 that I really like. I now schedule appointments with them exclusively unless there is an urgent issue. Because one of my sons was born with medical issues, I've seen a lot of doctors and specialists over the years. It's important to me having a primary care physician who can point me in the right direction for specialized care while synthesizing that care into all the typical medical things a child needs. These 2 pediatricians do that well. Despite an average start, I am glad that I stayed with the practice and feel that my children are in good hands. read more

The jury is still out on this ped office. The only person who is consistently pleasant is the patient rep at check out. The medical assistants who see you first usually don't wash their hands. My son is now 14 months and has been to 3 different pediatricians since he was born. The reason for this is that I have insurance that has specific doctors that I have to chose from. Everytime I chose a doctor, I was very unhappy until I found Ashburn Pediatrics! Compared to my experiences with the previous pediatricians, I was very relieved that I had finally found the one I would be able to stick with. One of the best parts is that they have 3 different waiting rooms so that sick chidren are not in the same room as the healthy children. The have many different nurses and doctors that are all for the most part very nice and know what they are doing. And, I believe that everyone that works there are women,since I have never seen any men in there. All the waiting rooms are very clean and set up very nice, as well as the rest of the office. I definitely found a keeper! The only thing that bothered me a little was that they are very pushy with the vaccines. But, most peditricians are. But, the good thing about that is that they are willing to give a little and will work with you to come up with a vaccine schedule that you are comfortable with. Terrible customer service. We moved the the area last year and I tried to set my two children up here, even dropping off Xerox copies of their entire medical histories. They seemingly lost my children's medical records and I had to reproving all the same information on a recent visit even though my son had gone there sick in the interim. I was extremely displeased that my kids medical information was not treated with the care I feel it warrants. To add insult to injury, I also received a bill in the mail for $15 for the school form, despite no one at the practice ever informing me of it. We will not return here and I'd advise others in search of a positive customer service experience to do the same. read more

We have been going to this practice for almost 3 years now and have had wonderful experiences with the doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, and front desk staff!! Our daughter had many, many ear infections her first 18 months of life and they were so helpful each time. Also, we had a scare when she was a newborn which they helped us address and were so caring and supportive during the process. We just recently had another child and have continued having great visits with the practice for both kids. I highly recommend this practice!! read more

I have been going here since 2011. I had new insurance in 2019 and half a balance owed got sent to collections. I saw the peds many times through the year for sick and well visits. Never asked to pay the balance at the office. The collection bill had the wrong acct # on it so no payment could be made to the collection agency. Finally got to Ashley at LMG and she cleared the acct. Tried to make a well visit and Debbie said they closed both charts and would not see us as patients anymore. She said she asked her providers and billing people and they agreed to Not see us since it had been 8months. I called their office during covid to get the bill paid and thats how I got in touch with Ashley. I always paid the bills there on time except for half a balance owed ($168). It is behind disappointing that they drop kicked us. I was a good standing customer besides 1 bill and the office decided this is the best way to treat us. I will never recommend them and will be encouraging my friends who go here to move on. read more

Ashburn Pediatrics is an excellent practice -- all round. The doctors and nurse practitioners are fantastic, and we especially adore Dr. Reilly who has cared for our two daughters since birth (11 years now). She listens. She's gentle. She SINGS to our girls to help calm them. She's responsive. She's measured and careful. We've seen other doctors and nurse practitioners when the girls have needed more immediate intervention and they've been similarly compassionate. Regarding complaints about billing and a small fee for the doctors or nurses to fill out various health and school forms... I don't see a problem with this. It takes time to complete forms and doctors/nurses are only reimbursed by insurance companies for exams and treatment, not form completion. Maybe the billing folks are less than savvy with their people skills, but I've not come across many people of this professional ilk for whom this is their gift. Ashburn Pediatrics has been good to our family and we highly recommend this practice for your family, too. read more

It is a big office with quite a few practioners. For established patients are sick walk ins available. But after several bad experiences we are done with this office. The staff and the doctors are rude and don't consider my children's needs. We have the feeling that this is all about money - like today when we visited with our sick child. They wanted us to have an unwanted yearly physical when all we wanted was treatment for our child. Having a physical wasn't one of our priorities for today. When we declined the atmosphere changed and they became quite rude and offensive. We will definitely not visit this place again. Thankfully there are other options available in this area. read more

Very impersonal and all about business. Always keep all your receipts whether it's co-pays or fees to fill out school forms. I found this place based of the reviews on yelp and my daughter needed a new doctor. I made the appointment 3 weeks out because they were booked before then. When I tried to check in between the weeks to see if they received my daughters records, it was very hard to get through. Finally the day arrived for my daughter to go to her appointment. We arrived early and had to fill out 3 pages (two sided pages) for medical information. The receptionist were nice and helpful. After 10 minutes we were called into the back. The nurse was very nice and friendly to me and my daughter. They also performed an eye exam on my daughter, along with the basic height and weight test. My daughter was told to put on a paper gown that really didn't come to far on her and wait for the doctor. After 5 minutes or so of waiting the doctor came in and asked a few questions and my daughter got a clean bill of health. Our doctor was very friendly and answered all my questions. So why a 3 you ask if everyone was so friendly and we had a smooth and quick visit? When we went to check out, it was my daughters annual doctor visit and I was told it was free, I was smiling and happy until the receptionist informed me that any time they fill out medical forms for your child it's a $15.00 fee!!!! I have never heard of such a thing before! Really $15.00 for u to put check marks on a paper? And we actually came in for a visit, it wasn't like I faxed in the forms. I have never had a pediatrician in 9 years charge for this because children have to up date their medical records for school each year. This really ruined my impression. Needless to say really nice staff but that was crazy to me. I doubt this will be my daughters main doctors office. read more

I have been taking my kids here for 7 years. I have never thought highly of this place and now they misdiagnosed my child. They couldn't figure out she had reflux! They misdiagnosed her for two months with constipation. Every stomach pain they immediately say constipation and fail to look beyond that. I specifically told them is not constipation, but that's the only answer they would give me. It took for me to research the symptoms and figure it out on my own. Also, all the misdiagnosed visits were my responsibility and I had to pay for every single one of them. I argued about this issues, but they just disregard me. Their mistakes were my responsibility and I had to pay the full balance. Save yourselves the heartache and stress, don't take your kids to this office. read more

We have been receiving care for my children here for the past 6 months and so far have only had a positive experience. We live in Arlington (at least a 45 minute drive from the office in Ashburn) and had a doctor we were comfortable with there, but we ended up having issues with our insurance and could no longer be seen there until our insurance went back to a plan that they would take. I was panicked because Arlington is CROWDED and almost no doctors (at least any that came with recommendations to us) take non newborn patients there. On the advice of a friend who is a patient at Ashburn Pediatrics, we made an appointment to get my son his 6 month vaccinations...which we were already late for. Me being a very anxious mom and already frustrated because of our insurance issues, the staff was kind and were very willing to get me in as soon as they could to get our 6 month check up in. They did not even mind a bit that we told them we may be switching back to our old doctor when our insurance changed. Our first visit was with Dr. Pierce and can I just say....THANK YOU! My daughter (who is almost 3) has always had a thing about doctors and nurses, which of course added greatly to our anxiety about changing doctors on her. Dr. Pierce started talking to her as soon as she walked in the door about being a big sister and helping her complete her baby brothers check-up. By the end of our appointment she had made a new best friend! She even felt comfortable enough with the nurses to get her flu shot, her first ever without tears and screaming. She sat calmly and quietly and still tells us to this day how brave and strong she is now because she didn't cry. Since then we have been seen a few times and at each appointment our nurses, NP or doctor has been sure to address both my children and make them comfortable and happy before starting whatever they need to do. They have been sure to address any concern I have, whether big or small, without judgment and without making me feel silly for worrying. In regards to billing and reception staff, we haven't had an issue yet. At our old office I received a bill every single time, regardless of what I had already paid and the billing dept. always seemed confused about the status of my bill. At Ashburn Pediatrics I have not had a single issue with them working with my insurance and not a single fishy bill to pay. How refreshing! The best thing I can say about this office is that it is worth nearly 2 hours of driving round trip with a now toddler and preschooler. We are definitely decided to stay with the practice for the time being, even though we now have insurance accepted by our old pediatrician. read more

My husband and I didn't even make it through the potential new patients' orientation before we decided this practice was not for us and our unborn child. A complete lack of bedside manner, friendliness or even an introduction from the nurse who led the orientation. It was 30+ minutes of being talked at with a good portion spent on vaccination lecturing. I cannot say enough about Dr. Crowley and her team of dedicated and professional Doctors, Nurses and Administrative staff. Besides the occasional Strep Throat, ear infection, flu, cold, etc. over the years, they have taken exceptional care of my youngest daughter and her every need. She was injured in a car accident at 10 years of age and paralyzed from the chest down. This Pediatric team has been like my right arm in caring for all the different aspects of my daughter's life. ANYTIME I've had a question, concern or need with regards to Insurance issues, ordering supplies, getting replacements, whatever our need, they are on it the minute I ask! I cannot say enough good things about Ashburn Pediatrics! My children (5) have been with the practice for over 20 years. The doctors, nurses, and staff are top notch! I cannot tell you how many times we have been able to take advantage of their walk-in sick appts on weekdays at 7:30 am. NO appt necessary if you are an established patient. It's just so convenient! Dr. Reilly has been my children's primary physician and we just love her! My 5th child was born with Down syndrome and the doctors and staff have treated her with patience and respect. I was beyond impressed with my experience at this doctor's office and the care they provided for my 3 sons. Dr. Crowley and Dr. Reilly are brilliant, dedicated Doctors who define what going the extra mile means My youngest son was hospitalized once during an ice storm and Dr. Crowley climbed to the top of her driveway so she could get a ride from a VDOT truck spreading sand to get to my son. The entire staff is friendly, caring and eager to help with any questions or concerns. If you are looking for a dedicated, professional and caring practice for your child's care this is the place! I think that Ashburn Pediatrics is wonderful, Our normal pediatrician is Dr Pearce and I can not say enough good things about her, but most of the doctors we have dealt with have been great as well. I've had small issues with billing but they have always helped to rectify it without any problems. They are big on vaccinations so if you are hoping for an alternative schedule this probably isn't the practice for you - but I personally prefer keeping the non-vaccinated kids away from my children so I like this policy. My only gripe with this practice is the sick waiting room and exam rooms. I agree with this in theory BUT my daughter has asthma and when she goes in for a check on her asthma (and she isn't sick at all) she is put into a sick exam room and has picked something up from being in there several times. My suggestion would be to put kids that aren't contagious with anything into the healthy rooms so that they don't get sick from their visit. read more

I have been bringing my 2 children here since they were born and always have a wonderful experience. The front staff is always very welcoming and friendly when we check in and the nursing staff is absolutely wonderful and very caring. Every doctor or nurse practitioner that we have seen have been great and are very knowledgeable and make me feel confident with the care my children are receiving. They also are always very understanding of even my smallest concern, (no matter how crazy it may seem). I am particularly appreciative of the incredible breastfeeding support I received, the nurses and doctors were so supportive and helpful and encouraging! I also LOVE that they have a separate sick and well waiting rooms when checking in. They always are very accommodating with appointments and offer walk-in hours in the morning and afternoon and they even have hours on Saturdays! I am so thankful to have found them!!! read more
