There were two employees working on a Friday around noon. Both were working on clients who were also getting their eyebrows threaded when I arrived, but it was only a short wait. When it was my turn, they didn't clean the chair before having me sit down so it didn't feel very sanitary. The threading service itself was satisfactory. My technician was very gentle and it felt more comfortable than other times I've had my eyebrows threaded. After she was done, she applied aloe without asking me if I wanted it on my face. They have their price list printed and posted on the wall. They also have an addendum sign that notes that the price for threading has increased from $7 to $10. I'm not sure why they didn't simply adjust the original price list instead of displaying two different prices, because it definitely caused confusion. The client in front of me originally paid $7 and an employee had to ask her for the additional amount. The client understandably pointed to the original price list on the wall and they had to explain that new prices were in effect. The other client ahead of me apologized to the woman who did her eyebrows because she didn't bring enough cash to cover tip and the new, higher price. So overall, I got what I needed done, but their customer experience could definitely use some improvements.

In total, I paid over $80 with a surprise at the cashier. Had I been happy if it's $35? No! Never. I do not live in 70s where mushroom cuts were everywhere anymore. She said, "A new woman." Nightmare. The only thing I could do was just to be polite. She cut everything short without ever asking if it was ok. I said shoulder length. Most my hair is 3-5 inches above the shoulder except for tiny strands. Now how long will it take to get back? Everything was too late. Even if I had complained, I could not get back my hair on the floor. Go to a decent hair salon where stylist asks you before she cuts your hair drastically honestly showing the price at $70. However the issue today was me getting pushed behind all of these customers who came in the shop AFTER me. Me being the only African American in there. Not saying it's a race thing, but let your brain paint whatever picture it needs. She then calls another person and I give a look of unsatisfactory and she says "you'll be next." Obviously I'm upset waiting there for 45 minutes already, and on my lunch break. I had to leave not only to get back to work but to keep myself from crashing out. I just think it's disrespectful to treat any guest this way but especially one who comes in every month for the last 3 years.
