The new clothes department is very large with a good range of ladies, gents and childrens clothes except for socks these are kept in the main aisles and are horrible and over priced (don't go to sainburys for socks) . There is a small electrical department but not a lot of choice it has hoovers, mircowaves, cameras etc. The new bakery is very nicely set out and the doughnuts look lovely. Has all the food and drink you would expect from a supermarket. Expect long queues at the checkout unless you use self scan.

If you are used to shopping in London then you might be a bit freaked out by how friendly they are. The food and deli are all standard. There is a McDonalds restaurant built in to the store and there is a seperate George across the square which is well stocked and worth a visit. I love this supermarket.

This is a big shop really big. The entrance is in the…read moreeastgate centre and it is nice to have a large supermarket actually in a town centre. As well as all the normal stuff you would expect to find in asda (food, drink, toiletries, cleaning products etc) there is a large Geogre clothes department and jewellery counter. There is also a pharmacy. At the front of the store is the home department selling bedding, duvets, lights and furniture. Behind this is the electrail department. Then there is another sort of home bit with plates, cups etc it is a shame they don't keep all this home non food stuff in one place so it is nicer and easier to look round. There are self scan tills to speed up the check out.

This is an enormous Tesco that is easily the best in Town…read more Departments include your normal fruit & veg, fresh fish and meat counters, a bakery, clothing, toys, electrical, stationery and entertainment (DVDs etc). There is also a Cafe. There are more tills in this Tesco that I have ever seen anywhere, and they are very prompt in opening more if a queue builds up. There is also ample car parking, which curves around the whole store.

The staff on the shop floor are nice and helpful but the person usually on customer services needs retraining really quickly. Upstairs are clothes, homeware and electrical goods. Downstairs food, drink, cleaning products and the like and also a pharmacy and small opticians. There is a bakery but they have a habit of overcooking the bread sometimes it is black. There is often very long queues with very slow staff serving but they have just put in self scan checkouts for baskets so this can speed you up a bit.

Selling a range of frozen food (but no fresh/deli counter), the one thing you will notice more than anything is that the price is more than reasonable. There are some brilliant offers and their party food is practically given away. They also do a home delivery service - so you pay at the till then they take it away and deliver it for you at your chosen time slot - but you must sort this out before you do your shopping. There isn't a car park nearby and you can't take the trolleys out of the store - so make sur eyou've got some way (or some help) to carry your shopping if you decide not to arrange a home devliery.
