In a world where immigration attorneys are numerous and often indistinguishable, Wildes & Weinberg…read moreis a remarkable law practice that delivers integrity, competence, and results. Their legal services and counseling are superb, second-to-none, and highly recommended. My husband and I were married in the spring of 2023. That summer, we prepared and filed for my husband's green card on our own. A year later, USCIS denied my husband's green card and we were promptly sent a "you must leave the country in thirty days" letter. My husband and I went into full panic mode. I called, researched, and spoke with scores of NYC attorneys, all of whom told us that they had no appointments available for at least two months (well past our USCIS deadline date). When I expressed our need for urgency, we were consistently told, "sorry, but we can't see you any earlier. Good luck." Then I called Wildes & Weinberg. Within two hours, Mr. Michael Wildes, head of the firm, reached out to us directly, expressing an immediate interest and genuine concern for our case. Within days, my husband and I were in his office and had our first consultation. For their sense of urgency and genuine commitment, I will always be grateful. Our first consultation was the beginning of a journey with Wildes & Weinberg that would be marked by legal competence, excellent counseling, and genuine human compassion. My husband and I were advised that the best course of action was to refile our case. We were heartbroken by this unwelcome news. It meant additional and significant financial expense due to no fault of our own. Despite the devastating news, we implicitly trusted the advice rendered, and we moved forward with the re-filing process. The Wildes & Weinberg team went to work immediately. They were acutely mindful of the looming thirty-day deadline and the task at hand. We worked closely together to complete the new filing. To our delight, our application was finalized and filed days ahead of the deadline date. We were assigned two attorneys to work on our case, Victoria Phillips and Talia Heller. Victoria and Talia were nothing short of outstanding from start to finish. From breaking the bad news regarding re-filing our application to preparing us for the green card interview, Victoria and Talia displayed a level of professionalism and charisma that was extraordinary. They were direct and firm with their legal advice, accommodating of our inquiries (and my husband's language challenges), and responsive to all our e-mails and communications. I am a New York State licensed attorney, and I have crossed paths with many lawyers in my thirty-five-year career. I've seen good attorneys, I've seen bad attorneys. I've seen inept attorneys. I can unequivocally state that the Wildes & Weinberg attorneys are among the most competent and professional lawyers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Our green card interview was scheduled nearly a year after we initiated our second filing. Victoria accompanied us to the interview. She was fully prepared. Not only did she advocate on our behalf with exceptional legal competence, but she simultaneously created an amicable and comfortable working environment that facilitated the exchange of information. Her firm yet soothing demeanor put my trembling hands at ease and assured me that my husband and I were in good hands. My husband's applications for a status change and for a green card were granted on the spot, an uncommon occurrence, which I fully attribute to the preparation and diligence of the Wildes and Weinberg team. Securing my husband's green card was one of the happiest days of our lives. This spring, my husband returned to his native Chile to reunite with his family after not seeing them for four years. I met my amazing in-laws after years of FaceTime calls. It was an emotional reunion filled with tears, joy, healing, and sheer happiness. A dream come true for both of us. The cherry on top was my husband's subsequent seamless re-entry into the USA. On our flight back home, I was filled with trepidation about what could happen given our current political climate. My husband's "interview" with the USCIS agent lasted less than five minutes and ended with a "welcome home" valediction. We are eternally grateful to the Wildes & Weinberg team for making my husband's US residency a reality. My husband and I, without hesitation, will re-engage the Wildes & Weinberg team when the time comes to apply for his U.S citizenship. Given the current political climate, it is imperative to secure competent legal representation to navigate the endless and ever-changing uncertainties surrounding immigration and naturalization in the US. In my opinion, Wildes & Weinberg is the irrefutable superhero legal team you need to help lead the way. Daniel Arzuaga Christopher Crawford Gonzalez

My immigration journey started when I was 7 years old, when my father was assigned to the US…read moresubsidiary of his employer. Fast-forward 11 years, and at age of 18, my parents and I, we received our permanent residency. There, my status stood for 3 decades, because I really didn't see the need to do anything about it. Then various incidents started being reported around immigration enforcement. I sensed times are changing, and with that, a need for me to obtain citizenship to protect my family. I chose Wildes & Weinberg for a number of reasons. Because of the lengthy time between my obtaining a green card and, well, today, I had a few complications around records keeping of the various shenanigans I've gotten into. I also wanted a firm large enough to be able to provide 24/7 support should I need it, but not so large that I'd be lost in the numbers. Armed with my criteria, I sent an email to about a dozen firms. Michael Wildes seemed the most earnest of the ones who replied, so they were the amongst the ones I've shortlisted, and ultimately retained. They're not inexpensive--but I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford them. They were fantastic throughout the process. They were responsive to any questions I asked, knowledgeable and professional. We moved forward pretty quickly with the application. I was approved for an interview, and one of their attorneys accompanied me to the interview. The policies at USCIS had changed, which I don't fault the firm for, and the US Government required more information. The team came through again, helping to perform vital quality control of the various pieces of information my family and I collected with critical attention to detail. After all that, my application was approved, and I am no longer exempt from federal jury duty.
