Worst experience with one of their employees. Go to Mammoth Roots! Owner takes care of everyone! Awesome place. Mammoth Roots!

Great customer service! I've found a new dispensary to visit every time I'm in Mammoth. This place is not like your typical dispensary. Value is better then OC so stock up before heading home. read more

Known Robert for a long time now. Are used to go to his other dispensary in Mammoth Lakes as well. This one just is awesome. If you're looking for incredible selection at great prices with a knowledgeable staff, this dispensary would do well anywhere. It's also conveniently next-door to a bar that has awesome buffalo wings. read more

Patrick! and Fireball! are super down to earth guys Patrick walked over while I was looking at their flower selection...he took the time to tell me about the different brands and where they were grown and he went over the pre roll selection with me...great customer service! I will definitely be going back to this dispensary read more

They MAKE you carry around a basket. The biggest issue I have is the a flippant response from the female sales associate (never got her name.) "It's our store policy!" And she delivers it with an attitude. Really?! That's How you deliver the message? Try this on for size.... "Forgive us please... we are thrilled you are here and want to give you a great experience. Our license means we are a Shopping Experience with our open floor plan and as such we are required to have our guests carry the cart. I hope you'll understand?" See how that Feels? Versus, I am the dumb a@$ customer who doesn't get it. Cause that's how it felt! Anyway... I went to Green Mammoth and had a fantastic experience with a nice and informative young lady and I made a purchase to boot. Team: It's all about the presentation with the challenges of having to carry the cart. Visited your store at 4:45 pm on Wednesday January 29th. read more

Love this place!!! Decided to try this spot on my last trip to mammoth and met an awesome dude named Brendan! he helped me find what i was looking for in store, including some trip advice for me and my girlfriend! this will definitely by my new spot everytime i come out to mammoth read more

ascent was a great spot for great products! loved it. Zack was so helpful. will be back soon.

This place is a total rip-off. They charge for bags that most stores give for free. Also, there's a pretentious vibe about the entire place. I recommend going around the corner to Green Mountain. read more

ASCENT - $2 for a bag that every other place gives out for free. SCAM - Cannabis Dispensaries Near Me - Mammoth Lakes, California

I was happy with my shopping experience and purchase until I realized the cape pen I bought had expired 4 months ago! I got an apology and was told I could return it for one that was not expired. That is great, I live an hour away. Disappointing. read more

Quite possibly the coolest dispensary I've been to! Not only were the workers super chill the store layout was sick. There is flower on the floor so the customer can inspect it without having to ask someone to get it for you which saves a lot of time for everyone. I can't wait to come back!! read more

So I'm from SoCal in town for a bike trip on the mountain. Took a few spills at the start of the weekend, and went here to pick up some CBD. And this place is LEGIT. Very open space. The gentlemen who helped us was very well educated and very friendly. This shop definitely doesn't pressure you or follow you around while you shop. Floor plan is open and you can actually look at the packaging on what your shopping for. Most shops have everything behind a counter and you gotta ask the sales person to look at. Kid in a candy store vibes. Love the vibe and the experience. Recommend this shop when you're in mammoth! read more

Very friendly staff! Fireball was really cool and knowledgeable. My husband was really satisfied with his purchase!

Absolutely awesome. Ascent always has what I am looking for from high % concentrate to daily use pre rolls and edibles. Prices are competitive if not lower than I've seen when I lived in the city, and the people are THE BEST. I shop by recommendation and if the recommendations suck, it's a bad time. I've never gotten a bad one here. 10/10 you guys rock! read more

Really great selection, everything from water pipes to cartridges to flower. The two guys working were HIGHly educated and everything was easy peasy. They also have an ATM inside. Cash only. read more

This place reminds me of a boutique shop. Not as uptight as many other places I've been, but still very professional and knowledgeable staff. They stock just about anything you could ever want, and offer alternative products if you don't find exactly what you were looking for. ***also show the best cute cat videos... not even joking, it's my favorite. Ask for Fireball or Jeff. read more

I have frequented many cannabis dispensaries over the years and Ascent is definitely above and beyond the best. The staff is extremely professional and knowledgeable, the prices are competitive, and the choices of products are extensive. Robert the owner stays current with new products , the store is well laid out and extremely clean. I live in Los Angeles and have many cannabis store choices but would rather give my business to Ascent. Highly recommend. read more

Where to start... this place is in a word...AWESOME! The store is incredibly clean, modern and bright. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and they carry a huge variety of both flower and edibles. We have been to this dispensary three times already and they remember us by name every time! (This is CHI- TOWN)! Being from the city this shop rivals anything you would find there, if not better, and prices are also better all the way around. Fireball and the rest of his staff make you feel welcome every time and are complete professionals in the cannabis industry. We come to Mammoth many times a year, as do our family members and Ascent dispensary will always be our go-to while we are here. It is highly recommended over the competitors here in Mammoth. What a great find for the cannabis lover in you! read more

I had a great experience here! Budtender Sophie was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and taught me a lot about cannabis I didn't know. She was very friendly and made sure to tell me all about the deals/sales in the store to make sure I was making the best purchase possible. She put no pressure on me and didn't try to up-sell the entire time. There are other dispensaries in the area but I am definitely making this my main place to go. 5/5! read more

Having been to dispensaries in Colorado, Washington, and now here in Cali, I have to say this was, by far, my favorite experience. The selection is phenomenal, the prices are more than competitive (be sure to check the "Sale" shelves along the wall), but most importantly, the two guys that were working were absolutely phenomenal. I told them what all we needed (literally supplies for 160-mile hike) and that we had a budget, and they helped me figure it out every step of the way. If you're in Mammoth Lakes or plan on passing through, do yourself a favor and check this place out. read more

Me and my buds came here a few months ago and barely writing the review lol there was this older dude and younger girl in there early morning and they were very helpful. The girl there which I forgot her name sorry lol helped me out the most and she was bumpin some kendrick and she set the vibes right for this place haha product and service was exceptional we will most definitely be back when we're in the area read more

I absolutely love the friendly knowledgeable staff, extensive selection and competitive pricing!! We are so grateful to have access to such great organic, and pesticide free Cannabis. Im migraine free at last!! read more

Had the best experience with an employee named Dan today. Was in a huge rush and he was able to get me everything I needed quickly and efficiently. Will definitely be back thanks to Dan!! read more

I have been to many dispensaries and this is by far the best. I walked in and was immediately greeted with kind employees. The selection and open space is amazing. I love that i can shop around with my basket and take my time. Dan was kind enough to direct me and help me with selections that were spot on. I have been back since and will continue to shop here. Thanks for being so convenient and awesome! read more

Wow. I went in for a CBD salve, having ganked my neck skiing. I was shocked at the huge selection - full line of Mary's Medicinals and Papa & Barkley, plus a lot of Flow Kana in addition to all the teas, bath soaks, patches and tinctures you could ever want. Super knowledgeable staff even hooked me up with some Flow Kana swag since I'm a big fan. They have Bloom and Heavy Hitter cartridges, a wall of flower, and many many more products I didn't even get to glance at. What I really liked is that there wasn't a crazy line, and all the product is out on the floor like a regular drugstore so you can look at it and touch the packaging etc, unlike the more bartender setting I'm used it - kept arms length from product. So impressed I wish this was closer to home. I'll definitely be back when I'm here next. Plus super knowledgeable staff, the best I've encountered anywhere. read more

REALLY GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! We originally had an issue with pricing on an item, but the owner Robert and his staff took care of it. We left the store as happy customers. I highly recommend this place! read more

don't go here!! worst customer service! got wrong advice and product due to employee negligence! worst part is they called and harassed me into coming back into their store!! beware!!! read more

I came in and loved the place. Dan was beyond helpful and friendly! 10/10 will be coming back :)

I was in this shop mid July and was impressed with the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff and their wide selection of choice products. What makes these guys different is that when I bought some cannabis cartridges for my Kandy Pens C-Box atomizer it turned out that the C-Box was not as universal as one would think and the cartidges did not fit (right threads, etc. but wrong diameter hole, beware the C-Box) and when I returned and explained the problem they comped me a pen to fit the cartidges! They really value your business! read more

I had a terrible experience here while in town from LA. I was sold a vape cartridge and told it included a battery/pen. It did not. When I finally found one at home and opened the cartridge I saw the best used by date of 3 months before I bought it. read more

Deff more lax than others, but I like that. Being able to smell using the tasting jars was awesome. Staff was v helpful and Dan went out of his way to help me find something for my weekend skiing read more

Robert, the owner, performed a stunning act of generosity for a friend of mine who has melanoma. Truly a life-saving act and we're forever in his debt. The store is great, it's even better to support good people. read more

Really great spot. Everything is out and is easy to see. Very light and clean. The people who work there are very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. One great thing, they have jars that give you the opportunity to smell and see buds before purchasing. Will definitely come back. read more
