Couldn't Improve on anything at all…read more Follow up service is extremely frustrating.Very hard to call the location directly, you must call through the main switchboard - not fun. It was hard to get help or make follow up appointments. I recently had to buy a replacement aid, I went 3 or 4 times and the place was closed. Eventually got in - but no because you have to make an appointment. Called the next day to make an appointment, they said I didn't need one. Went to pick up hearing aid, they said I needed the other so they could adjust together and I had to see the audiologist. Next day back with the other hearing aid....no you don't need to see the audiologist, no you don't need both hearing aids for this. Also it would have been great if it was already charged when I picked up, like the originals, but no - that's a perfect example of great service at the sale, poor service later. Somewhere in there was no we don't take credit cards over the phone and then it was can you give me your credit card over the phone before you pick up. The hearing aid is great.

    My father in law is a 90 year old disabled veteran who served his time in the Korean War. Back in…read moreFebruary of 2023, he walked into the Beltone store on 435D State Road in Dartmouth hopeful to find hearing aid's that might work for him. Sadly, that day, the Beltone representative successfully persuaded him into a 4 year lease agreement costing him a total of $8700 with a $700 down payment. My father in law (Larry),when weighing the cost of the hearing aids, asked the Rep if the VA would be a better option rather than paying these prohibitive costs as he is on a fixed income. Larry told his daughter that the Rep discouraged that idea and said the VA would not be able to help him. Unfortunately, on that day, he trusted the Beltone Rep and signed this horrible agreement with the hope he'll be able to hear better. The Rep told him if he has any issues, he could schedule with them to come back for any adjustments. Well, moving forward, he had been back at least 2 or 3 times to Beltone for adjustments that never worked. At one point, he was told by the representative he had a lot of wax in his ears which prevented the hearing aids from working effectively. As a result, he made an appointment with his primary doctor to check his ears. The physician did an ear check and was told he had no ear blockages from wax buildup. With $201.19 being automatically deducted from his bank account and with a total cost outlay to date of $4700, he decided to share the agreement he made with Beltone with his family. Back in October of 2024, I went to Beltone to turn in the hearing aids and to attempt to remedy the financial agreement. However, the Rep I spoke to stated that Larry had to speak to the leasing company (Allegro/Synchrony Bank) to see if he could end the agreement. The Beltone Rep reluctantly accepted the return of the hearing aids and stated we'll hold onto them, but this is to do with your father in law and the bank. So, I contacted Allegro, and the Representative there said you need to resolve with Beltone, as they were paid by the bank a lump sum and it would be up to Beltone to refund the difference to resolve the remaining owed of approximately $4000 to Allegro. To sum up, this terrible ordeal continues on and based upon the experiences my father in law has encountered, I would not recommend for anyone to do business with Beltone. They clearly took advantage of Larry for the sole purpose of making $$$$. On a side note, Larry ended up going to the VA Clinic for a thorough examination and got set up with hearing aides that work really well for him and with no out of pocket costs due to being a disabled veteran. I felt it necessary to share this story with the hope of others with elderly parents or family members with a hearing impairment to be very wary of Beltone.

When she didn't have the answer she was on the phone with the manufacturer and had the solution within minutes. Super smart and very personable.
