When I called the business office to ask if I could put my membership on hold for a few months, the lady who answered the phone was rather rude. I asked about pausing my membership and she said in a harsh rather scolding tone that I couldn't cancel a membership over the phone but would have to go in. I told her I didn't ask about cancelling but pausing. She said there's no pausing, again in a harsh tone. I might join again when I have more time. I had been told a couple of years ago that I could pause for a couple of months. I guess they changed that policy.

VASA Fitness model is the Planet Fitness without the Lunk with amazing low cost membership prices and a focus in selling lots of memberships while delivering everything you could want from a big box gym opened 4AM to 12 AM. This gym has it All! Separate cardio Machines section, at the time of my visit the rowers were still being set up and I found out that the leak on the roof has been there for a while with rowers being rain on. This seems a bit neglectful and is the only reason why I'm giving it a four at this point Two functional Fitness areas with loads of equipment some very nice medicine balls, loads of Kettlebells up to 88 lbs which typically are not found in Big box gyms. NightClub vibe Spin bike studio for classes. Barre and Group Fitness Studio Pool and Hot tub Basketball Courts Large and clean Lockeroom with showers Huge DB area with Heavy DB's Large Machine area with everything from Cables, to Plate loaded machines. Massage Tables Personal Training Pad Best of all for me a separate area with 8 Olympic weightlifting/ Powerlifting with squat racks and bumper plates. The one thing I wasn't clear on but also did not see any signs saying not to do was dropping weights for The olympic Weighlifter/Crossfitter/Powerlifter. I did do some snatches and Clean and Jerks but they were light and I brought them down with control. The reason why I said I wasn't clear on that is because lots of gyms will have Platforms and bumper plates and still have a no dropping policy or members that will complain, I hope that's not the case here because this the right set up for it and it's separate from any other equipment. Overall great gym with everything you could want. I was there 7:30 AM- 9 AM on their Free trial pass and it wasn't busy.

The staff's professionalism and welcoming nature are notable. The cleanliness of the facility is generally good, though temperature and lighting could be improved as it is very bright and very hot in there. My primary concerns are the use of tripods and video recording, which seems unrestricted, and the differing expectations for male and female attire, as the males are asked to keep their shirts on, while the females walk around in nothing more than a bra and panties. Implementing a universal dress code requiring shirts would promote a more inclusive environment. Moreover, moderating the music volume and diversifying the playlist would cater to a broader range of preferences as I'm sure most people would agree we do not want to listen to songs by Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys from their very first albums. I do suggest something more culturally diverse and less drag queen show. Thanks in advance.

I've been a member of planet fitness since 2012, today I canceled my membership. I've been using…read morethe riverside location for several years now and I've never had to many complaints and I've never voiced a complaint while working out at the club. Since last year there has been multiple incidents of older Karen's approaching me while using different machines and very rudely asking if I'm done with the machine while I'm clearly not, every time I say I'm still using it they then role there eyes or say something under there breath while walking away from me. Today another Karen approached me and again same situation happened, but this time after being disrespectful she then went to a manager and complained about me for not bowing down to her and kissing her feet and I wasn't going as fast as she wanted me to. She then pointed at me and kept staring at me while complaining. She then exited the gym. There was 100 different machines that could have been used for triceps instead she wanted to start a confrontation at that point. This is the reason I really canceled the membership, I approached the manager very calmly after she left and basically was just venting, I wasn't yelling and there wasn't anyone around us to hear out conversation. I told him that she was trying to start a confrontation and I didn't appreciate her approaching me like that and he basically blew me off, I wasn't demanding he revoke her membership or even chew her out, I basically wanted him to acknowledge that I shouldn't had been talked to like that. He wouldn't even look me in the face when he was talking to me and tried to dismiss my complaint like it's not a big deal and tried making me out to be the bad guy. All he had to say was I understand how you feel and if she does that again come and report it to him, I'm not going to a place where I'm consistently getting disrespected by members and there staff. He provided terrible customer service and I hope he gets better training on how to listen and not dismiss people with a legitimate complaint. And I hope with more training he better understands by dismissing complaints like that he is missing the bigger problem that when you have members who are clearly trying to start confrontations that needs to be addressed not dismissed because they are going to have a much bigger problem in the future because she's going to do that to someone isn't as nice as I am. The other staff at the club have always been nice and never disrespectful as he was and the fact how he was trying dismiss me and trying move me along so didn't have to do his job was pushing me to cause a scene and get even more angrier because how terrible he handled that situation, luckily I chose to be a bigger person and leave because I have way more respect for the club than he does. Whoever reads this review just know that if you have a serious complaint and your trying peacefully resolve it because of members trying to start altercations with you don't go to the guy with the mullet go to someone above him or call corporate because he's not going to take your complaint seriously and will handle it very poorly even if you've been a member for many than a decade.

The trainers were super helpful in walking you through the machines, the setup and throughout your workout. It is expensive but it is pretty cool technology and worth checking out.
