I talked with a lady there who was extremly helpful in helping returning my daughters ashes to me, in Florida. She had them boxed in a Human Remains Container and sent Overnight/Priority Mail and I received them 6 days later. This is by no means a problem with Generations, but a problem with the USPS. There is only one way to send ashes, and that is by USPS in a Box that you have to order online at no charge,Overnight /Priority .thanks to Generations Funeral home for everyting they did my Daughter, and myself.

My mother-in-law passed away in the middle of the night while under hospice care. we were told we needed to choose a facility immediately for transport. Our plan was a simple cremation, but we also wanted the opportunity to see her one last time to ensure she was treated with dignity. When we contacted the company, we " no one allows that" which is completely untrue. Other funeral homes later confirmed that viewing prior to cremation is absolutely allowed. we were also told we would be charged $500 just for the pickup. While we were willing to pay, the situation became far more distressing when they refused to release her without her estranged husband's signature-even though they have been separated for over 25 years. The funeral home we ultimately chose even reached out to them several times including at 3:30 Pm because they had not followed through as expected. It felt like our loved one was being held hostage until payment was made, which we paid immediately without hesitation. We were also questioned about whether we were having her cremated still, and why we were choosing another cremation provider, which felt inappropriate and unprofessional given the circumstances. The funeral home we ended up working with has been in business for over 60 years and told us they had never encountered behavior like this. During a time when compassion, professionalism, and respect are critical, this experience was the exact opposite. i would strongly urge others to carefully consider their options.

Recently visited for a funeral visitation and service…read more There were two areas for guests for the visitation. A couch, and chairs on one corner, a couch by another areas. I ended up standing for over an hour right by the guest sign-in book. The screen across from the large couch scrolled through selected family photos. There was a closet for coats. Another larger room set up with chairs for the scripture readings. The first room upon entry was a big room and conducive for standing, since there wasn't a lot of seating. I was glad I had come during a time with less people. The staff were buzzing around and at some point had to interrupt conversations to round up the siblings ahead of the readings.

My dad has passed in Florida and Tillman Funeral Home assisted in transporting his body. Harry J Will took care of the arrangements with Tillman. My mom and I had arranged for her prepaid funeral and the sales director lead us through the process answering any questions or concerns. So when her time came, the funeral home was right on top of everything. My siblings and I only had to meet with Cheyenne once where she covered the things they would need for mom. She asked for details and memories of our mom's life some of which she picked up on while we were reminiscing on mom between the siblings. The obituary that Cheyenne wrote was good, if not even better, than what we could have done. The day of the visitation, the lovely receptionist went way beyond and entertained my small nieces and nephews. She accommodated us with every request or question. The refreshments were great to have so no one had to leave if they were hungry. The day of the funeral was handled with such care and concern for our mom and family. No detail was overlooked or missed. The pastor who lead the service was so compassionate and talked about mom with a loving insight. The cars in funeral procession where given flags and traffic was cleared by their employees. At graveside the pastor prayed for our mom. And Cheyenne instructed us to what to expect or do. Mon laid to rest by her beloved husband, our dad. The following luncheon after was held at the funeral home. The staff did everything to see we were taken care of. The food was good and plenty of it. Please consider this funeral home for your loved ones.

Sadly my Mother died in a matter of weeks of becoming ill with Covid-19. Once my Mother's death was near I reached out to David Griffin to see what type of arrangements were being held at this strange time, since everything was shut down. David was so comforting to talk with and understanding of our situation (which also included my parents pre-arranging & paying for their funeral ahead of time at a different firm). David assured me he would make every accommodation he could to honor what was done with the other firm. About a week later my mother passed peacefully in her sleep. We called Griffin Funeral Home early in the morning to make arrangements to bring my mother into their care. The person who answered the phone was extremely pleasant and transferred us to Larry Griffin. Larry assured us Mom would be brought into their care within an hour. We made arrangements with Mary Bartlett over the phone later in the day and scheduled a time to come in and finalize things on Monday. Mary was exceedingly kind, compassionate and helpful during our meeting. We scheduled the Funeral for Friday Morning with my mother being buried after. My Mother looked beautiful. The Funeral Home was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The Staff all kind and comforting. Larry Griffin handled our service on Friday and was very personable and professional, David Griffin made a special trip to come by and greet us, Mary Bartlett did an amazing job coordinating the service and details and Barbara in the office helped answer mine and my father's many questions. Everything was handled perfectly and is much appreciated. I could not think of anything more they could have done! Thank You just seems to little for all you did.
