I wandered over here one day while walking at the Arb next door. You know, in the 1800s there was a real push to create garden cementaries like this one, where families picniced on the weekends and treated them basically like parks. Forest Hill is great for quiet walks and contemplation, I think I'd skip the bbq or picnic basket. This particular cemetery is where the civil war monument is located (moved here from the lawn of the old court house in the 1950's). Football fans will be interested to know that Bo Schembechler is buried here. read more
History buffs must spend some time here among the graves of Ann Arbor's former residents. I'm not really fond of cemeteries, but the atmosphere in this one has a certain appeal, a connectedness, in the way it's adjoined to the Arb. read more
Umm, kinda werided out reviewing a CEMETARY, but yes, it's kinda cool in here. Being a nerdy history buff, I used to love taking my runs around here and stopping here and there to hypothesize about the demise of the departed buried here. Yes, I am weird, but it's really kinda fun. read more
