I recently discovered something extremely concerning about this agency. I was told on March 31 that…read morethe client "changed their mind" and ended the assignment. I was never told I was fired, and the recruiter Cynthia even told me to call back to see if they had another job available. That alone proves I was NOT fired, because no agency tells a fired worker to call back for more work. Today, October 18, I requested my verification paperwork for my medical benefits and found out they secretly marked me as fired in their system. I would have never known if I didn't ask for my file. This is dishonest, unprofessional, and damaging to an employee's reputation. Cynthia never told me this, and she acted like everything was fine. That is extremely two‑faced behavior. To make things worse, they didn't even call me professionally on March 31. Instead, Nidia texted me telling me not to come back to the assignment. She couldn't even pick up the phone. She texted me like I was nothing. What kind of professional place does that? Every other agency I've worked with CALLS you -- they don't send a cold text message telling you you're done. When I called the manager that day, she confirmed the client simply changed their mind. Yet the paperwork they submitted says "fired." They contradicted their own words and misrepresented my employment status behind my back. The office staff does not care about employees. They smile in your face, pretend they like you, and act friendly -- but deep down they don't care at all. They sit around, eat snacks all day, and answer the phone whenever they feel like it. As long as they have their own full‑time steady paycheck, they don't care what happens to you. They are lazy, unprofessional, and rude. I feel humiliated and betrayed. They damaged my file, lied to me, and didn't communicate honestly. I will not be calling them for work again, and I would not recommend anyone work with this agency. They will ruin your record the way they ruined mine. Do not trust them -- they are two‑faced and will backstab you without hesitation.

My Experience with Brewer Global…read more Brewer Global is a small staffing agency that, like many others, claims to "do things differently." In reality, their operations feel very similar to dozens of other agencies--quick job placements, but little job security, weekly pay, and no benefits. I was first placed at COURT, a furniture rental company, and later at Interblock, a small gaming equipment manufacturer. My role at Interblock was unclear from the start. The pay was $17 an hour, which is slightly better than average for staffing agencies, but that's where the positives ended. On my first day, I received no training, wasn't introduced to a supervisor or lead, and wasn't given any proper tools or PPE--not even gloves. We were restoring old gaming cabinets with high-voltage capacitors without insulated gloves, and installing heavy monitors on worn hydraulic arms without hard hats. There was no visible safety personnel on-site, and no health benefits, which made the $17 rate feel far less worthwhile given the risks involved. About two weeks in, I was let go due to attendance issues--my fault, as I relied on public transit for a 4:30 AM shift. Though I considered using rideshare services, the cost was too high for a daily commute. The company didn't offer any support or flexibility. Instead, I was met with hostility, particularly from an employee named Evelyn, who told me, "You should be grateful to us. What better job can you get?" Her attitude was unprofessional and unnecessary, and she could definitely improve her people skills. On the other hand, a staff member named Scott was consistently professional, polite, and communicative. He handled everything with respect, and his approach was a refreshing contrast. Bottom line: It's not worth working for Brewer Global--or, honestly, most staffing agencies--unless you're in a desperate situation. Sari and her DOC (day-of-coordinator), April, worked tirelessly to make sure the series of wedding events exceeded our wildest expectations. April worked 11 hours straight with no break to get a whole series of last minute items taken care of on the day of the wedding. Sari is not only a top-notch staffer. She is also a great event planner/producer/miracle worker. We had no idea how complicated it is to plan and produce a wedding until the wedding day but Sari made it all look easy and flawless. Sari and the Culinary Pros staff are not only doers, they are problem-solvers.
