I was scheduled for 9am at their north Lincoln street location for 35% tint installed on everything but the sunroof. They open a 9am, so I brought my car in 10m early with the intentions of being first car possible, as I have a routine of picking my kids up afterschool and needed my vehicle back by 3:30. I dropped it off, went to ran errands with my dad and went home to wait for the call it was done. When 1:30 rolls around and I still haven't received a phone call, I pick up the phone and call them. They tell me it's been really busy and they hadn't gotten to it yet. Which definitely struck me as weird seeing as how I dropped it off 4 hours ago and it takes nowhere near that long to clean, lay and clear tint. But I didn't make a big deal of it and explained that I needed m vehicle back by a certain time. Up until this point everything was okay, I wasn't happy it took this long, but I wasn't upset if you know what I mean. The situation was still repairable. Then 3pm comes and still no call. So I call again, and get the same excuse, buddy telling me it's only him and another guy working that day so they're swamped. I say something to the effect of "Yeah I understand that and that makes a lot of sense.. except the fact I had a scheduled appointment and you clearly took multiple other cars before mine. Why would you do that? That defeats the entire purpose of making an appointment." I eventually ended up getting my car back around 4:15 and when I did it only got worse. They broke two clips under the passenger side A pillar's moulding, while laying the windshield I assume. So until I got it replaced it would flap in the wind anytime I was doing above 60mph, which cost me $145. they never reconnected the wire harness to the window and trunk switches, which I have no idea why you would even do that. What a mess. This place is a disaster full of cartoon characters halfway doing their job but charging full price. I will never set foot anywhere near any place or businesses even remotely associated with Kris Window Tint. Save your self the trouble and actually seek out a reputable company, because this ain't it. tl;dr : scheduled a 9am appointment a week out for 35% tint on everything but the sunroof. I had to call twice before they even got to my car. When I got it back 7 hours later two clips holding he moulding over the windshield were broken and cost $145 to replace. A week or two later, I wasn't happy with the quality of the camera I purchased, so the guys did an exchange for me to a higher quality product. Fast forward to a few months later - my neighbor (in the city) politely informed me that my alarm was sensitive and if a loud car went by, the alarm would go off (as it should!) and I said I would get the sensitivity adjusted ASAP. Easy fix - John adjusted it, and it was absolutely PERFECT! Thank you SOTS for earning my business since '95!

I then called a company named Sound of Tri-State, located in Delaware. They gave me a great price and said they could take me today. An hour and a half later I left there having had a delicious cup of tea, helpful (not rushed) service, a great system, and excellent customer service; it was well worth the hour drive. I arrived 30 minutes before closing, and Patrick and Bob generously stayed with me for an extra 90 minutes at their desk after the closing time passed in order to answer all of my questions and assauge my anxieties. Their passion for the products I bought (all Sony) and their technical knowledge blew me away. They have been with the company for a very long time. About six months ago, Don professionally installed my Thinkware U3000 Pro front and rear cameras. A couple of months ago, I returned to him for installation of the brackets and wiring setup for my Uniden radar detector. His work has always been extremely clean, precise, and professional. Most recently, after having new window tint installed, the dash cameras had to be removed and then reinstalled. Even though Don had a very busy schedule, he went out of his way to squeeze my car in and reinstall the cameras on the freshly tinted windshield. He took great care with the new tint and made sure everything was properly positioned, secure, and working exactly as it should. What I appreciate most about Don is his attention to detail and the pride he takes in his work. He treats the vehicle as if it were his own, takes the time to do everything correctly, and is always professional and helpful. After several different installations, I have complete confidence in Don and would not hesitate to bring any of my vehicles to him.
