The parking lot was full so people were parking on the street, no problem since it's not downtown or anything. When we walked in there was a waiver on an iPad to enter your personal info, the form was tedious and I noticed people just gave up as did I. Free for kids under 4!! Despite the full parking lot it was orderly inside and everyone was thankfully going in the same direction (counter clockwise) There are some small ramps along the track in the inner loop. My son got a boo boo and they had a box of free and aids. They also have another large room for advanced ramps for the bigger kiddos who are more adventurous. Tip: If you want to ride next to your child, bring some roller blades or a scooter so you can catch up with him but don't forget your helmet (mandatory for kids and adults)

What serves as a hiking path during summer is turned into a shiny surface of ice in winter. Since the layer of ice is not very thick, warm weather can be more destructive than for other rinks in the city. But during a cold spell there is nothing more beautiful than gliding around the island along the St. Laurent and watching sheets of ice swim past in front of the splendid panorama of downtown Montreal on the opposite shore. Speakers along the way accompany the aspiring ice princess with classical music. The rink seems remote but is very accessible since it is only a short walk away from Jean-Drapeau metro. Lockers for boots are available - bring your own lock. Oh, and did I mention that all of this is free?

The music was nice, the trees and benches in the middle provided a great place to rest and to people watch and the beer inside when you're done is only 4,50$. Les 4 Glace is not very old but recently bought by a management firm and is run pretty well. The options here are pretty good. Full bar, proshop and bar food. It even has WiFi. The ice is good and all the locker rooms are reasonable clean. I play here every week.
