I have a new car loan through Arvest. When I went to pay my first bill online it wouldn't work. It wouldn't allow me to add a source of payment like my two credit unions. So I called customer service and they had the nerve to tell me that in order to pay online I had to open a checking account with them. Are you kidding me? This is 2017! So I went down to the lobby, opened an account since they gave me no choice so I can pay my darn car payment. Secondly, I enrolled in mobile banking since now I am going to have to deposit money into Arvest out of my credit unions. Well guess what, customer service told me I can't use mobile banking for 60 days since it's a new account! So now I have to go into their lobby for 2-3 more deposits? You know how many years it's been since I went to a bank lobby other than to get a cashier's check? I felt like I had stepped back in time when I went in, and I saw the length of the drive-thru line, hideous. I am out of town most of the year traveling with my husband on business so how in the heck am I supposed to go to a lobby?! This bank is about 15-20 years behind, incredible. Plus their online banking is ridiculous. You can't even see your bank transactions, so there's really no point of going on there. I told my husband we are putting everything extra we make and getting this car paid off ASAP! Either that or refi next year. Good grief. read more

Refinance nightmare. 1) Arvest ran a hard credit inquiry twice (?) in 3 weeks - it lowered my FICO 40 pts so I was 4 pts under their best rate. 2) Appraisal came in $1000 short of only charging a half a point that became 1 point or an extra $500 to Arvest. The appraiser measured living area 60 sq. ft. less than the measurement of others on 2 previous 05 and 2011 appraisals. (At minimum - the appearance of impropriety) 3). A keystroke mistake on a ss# resulted in a letter from the IRS indicating that they had no record of my 2014 tax return. That caused 4 hours of anguish while I tried to contact my accountant and IRS. The best part is Arvest figured out they had made a mistake but forgot to call to tell me to disregard the letter.4) Finally, after 7 weeks the Cover Sheet to be approved 3 business days before Closing showed $4000 in closing costs. When I went to closing it was $4600.There was no explanation, apology,or transparency for any of the above. This is my first review ever on the internet. read more

I have been an Arvest customer for approximately 17 years and have had no complaints, until now. Went to this branch 8 days ago, made a deposit through the ATM and after the deposit was complete the ATM proceeded to shred my card. Called customer service, while sitting in front of the ATM, was informed that the branch manager said that they had been having problems with the ATM. Why they neglected to put an out of order sign on it is beyond me :( . Was told they would have to order a new card. Went inside, was assisted by Amber where we completed the necessary paperwork and was told I should receive the new card within a week. Called yesterday, (exactly 1 week later), to follow up and was now told that there is no record of a card being ordered. Was then told a card would be ordered, (again) and said I would receive it in about a week. I asked that they overnight it, reluctantly said they would and that I would receive it in approximately 2-3 days. Obviously they do not know what "overnight" means. I stopped in at the same branch to address this with Amber, she was not in but I spoke with the branch manager, Beverly. She assured me that it would be overnighted but said they had no control over Fed Ex. (Once again, no understanding of what "overnight" means). Checked my account today and they charged $60 for the express shipment. They did credit back the amount but just shows how much they are taking advantage of their customers. (I ship Fed Ex every day from work and an overnight shipment costs an average of $15-20 for a small shipment on a corporate account). Just called to get a tracking number, I assumed that since my account was charged it had actually been shipped, and was told there was no tracking number listed which means no guarantee that it was actually shipped as promised. At this point I am not sure if I will stay with Arvest but I know that I will not be using this branch for anything. (I will revise this post if my card actually shows up today) read more
