Tried for the first time tonight, amazing pizza and their meatballs are to die for. Our party tried several dishes and there were all great.

Their pizza is really delicious and the atmosphere is great! Definitely a hotspot for young adults and teenagers! It is a tad pricy though so keep that in mind! read more

Came here in the summer whilst visiting my mother as she wanted to check it out based on recommendations from her co-workers. North Bay is NOT known for its gourmet pizza, however, it is a very pizza friendly and pizza crazy town! We ordered three different pizzas: Arugula, Cured Meat, Chicken Caccitore. As someone who loves prosciutto and arugula, I favored the Arugula pizza which was simple and light. Despite all the pizzas being on thin crust, the cured meat pizza was a little heavy and greasy. Took that one home for my father, he enjoyed it cold. The Chicken Caccitore was probably the most fulfilling pizza - loaded with chicken, olives, mushrooms and other veggies. The chicken wasn't too dry and the pizza was seasoned with delicious hints of basil. The atmosphere was great, modern interior with a large seating area surrounding the bar and wood-fire pizza stove. Service was decent with the server asking if the food was to our liking. I think she was surprised to see the two of us order three pizzas! The leftovers were even better the following day. Burnt pizza. Tables are very close to one another, felt like we were dining with another group of teens at adjacent table. Waitress did not seem happy, did not crack a smile but did her job and recommended a pizza that came out charred on the edges and black on the bottom. My boyfriend and I came to this restaurant for lunch and we were both very disappointed. Although the service was good, the pizzas that came to our table were soggy and were far too oily. The chocolate milk was solid syrup and the meatballs tasted cheap, and had a very odd texture and taste. Most of the staff were talking amongst themselves while the atmosphere was quite flawed. It had the feel of an incomplete space that lacked consistency. It was very loud in the restaurant and I could barely hear my boyfriend across from me. All around a decent place, but I would not return or recommend it. Also, if you do go, be careful parking as it is a tight parking lot and my boyfriend's car was rear-ended. read more

The owner of this place is completely ignorant. We ordered in from arugula and they delivered our pizza but did not mark the gluten free pizza - we could not tell the difference. We called back and asked if they could deliver two new gluten free pizzas as we have two people with celiac. The owner told us that we would have to return the pizzas ourselves and she would show us the difference but would not give away any "free pizzas" yelled and hung up. She was "too busy" to deal with this. Obviously we were worried about the health implications not the free pizza. When we phoned back the owner refused to come to the phone. I have Never experienced such poor quality customer service - not to mention the pure lack of respect for people's health! read more

Outstanding! Everything about our meal was flawless. The garde manger chef clearly cares about the food. The greens of our salad were perfectly fresh. Not a single even slightly hot-kitchen wilted sprig. The dressing was very well balanced. Escargots were plump and tender with warm, soft and crusty bread. The margarita pizza was perfectly blistered. The sauce is bright and fresh - I can still taste it. Took the time to give thanks to one of the chefs - Matt. He was very gracious and showed a lot of pride in what he does and deservedly so. A must go in North Bay. read more

Found this place while visiting North Bay this passed weekend. Very friendly and professional service. Food was brought out very quickly. We had ordered the fried calamari to start, comes with spinach and capers and it was pretty good. Second we ordered the chicken panini and fungi pizza. Panini was a decent size, served with Italian fries which are potatoes wedges, fried with parmesean. I thought the panini was very fresh but found it to be kind of lacking in flavor. Fungi pizza was quite large (12") on a flat bread crust which was very good and had crunchy edges. They bake their pizzas in a wood burning oven which gives it that extra kick of flavor. Pizza was pretty big and we had to pack it to go as we couldn't finish it. After all that we were given the dessert menu and saw that they had a Smores pizza. So, we obviously had to get that. Let me just tell you, save room for dessert!! We came here in April when it was -8, but they have this nice screened patio overlooking a little stream. Pretty good restaurant. I like the food, atmosphere, and the service. However, the portions are too small for my liking and that's why I am only giving it 3 stars. If you have a big appetite and expect big dishes to come out, you are going to be disappointed. I'd rather not have to order 2 dinner meals and a salad just to be full, it's expensive. That's also another problem I have, is the food is costly for what you get. Not enough bang for your buck. The only thing that kinda fills me up is their pizza dishes, which is quite tasty. I only recommend going to this restaurant during lunch when you plan to have a small/medium size meal. I do not suggest going when you want to eat to your heart's content because your wallet is going to hurt a lot. read more

Arugula is always packed, but for good reasons! The food is super good and the staff is so friendly and quick. My only complaint is how crowded the space is. Tables are very close together and make for a tight squeeze! Might I add the wood oven is beautiful!? read more

The nachos are probably the best I have ever had. The pizza was great, but be sure to eat it with a fork. I used my hands once and my fingers turned black. It's from the wood oven. Well worth it though. read more

Great atmosphere and fab smells as soon as you enter the restaurant. We got the calamari as an app. Delish!! Great seasoning with complementing fresh salsa. I had their chicken Italian club sandwich and salad combos and it was really good. Service was quick. Too bad they weren't cheaper though.

We have been there often and have always been very happy with our meal. (We order the same pizza every time.) The last visit gave us an over baked, black, dry and not very good pizza. When we advised the waitress twice that it was not good, she informed us twice that that is the way it is done. We did not ask for a discount but were given 15% off the $18 pizza. If this is the way the pizza is now baked, we will not go back. It is disappointing because we enjoyed going there! read more

Arugula is usually a sure bet. But they now make their Marguerita pizza with Fior de Latte and it is awful. Almost liquid it has so much oil in and on it. The pizza had no flavour. And 2 of my coworkers had terrible diarrhea within an hour. We were told this was the "traditional" way of having the pizza vs. buffalo mozzarella. It was awful. Not sure on whether this is on other pizzas but it's a risk to go back unless they can substitute. Very disappointing. read more

Eat here. Be happy. Last meal of a long vacation and finally a place to love. Patio, fully enclosed, overlooks a lovely creek. Had a great sandwich and salad. Big wood fired pizza oven, pizzas looked like a thin crust delight, will try next time I am in town. This should be your go to pit stop if traveling along the transcanada in this area and you appreciate thin crust pizza/ modern Italian food. Enjoy! read more

Dined at Arugula while visiting North Bay on the weekend. Our server, Sarina, was fantastic and I cannot stop thinking about the margherita pizza w/ buffalo mozzarella. So delicious. It's too bad North Bay is so far from home. If I ever return for a visit this will be my first stop! read more

Great food, good prices and fancy atmosphere. Servers are nice but during last visit, my son fell off the baby chair and into the nearby table and no one did anything but stare as he cried. They need to be more mindful and take a look at baby safety and provide better service when it comes to a toddler getting hurt because of their equipment! read more
