Last night's was a Joaquin Phoenix double bill, showing Walk The Line followed by Two Lovers. While we ended up skipping the first film and just having dinner, the price is still very reasonable. We shared a lovely bottle of wine outside on the terrace (had to sit on the wall though as all the tables were full) with amazing views of the river and Hammersmith Bridge. Back inside for dinner, which we shared: a large mezze platter and some mushroom bruschetta, both of which were delicious and just enough. The cinema itself is what every cinema should be: small and dark, with the seats on an incline so everyone can see. They showed the previews and ads WAY before the start time (PERFECT!!), even drew the curtains in between the previews and the film itself (DRAMATIC!!). Riverside has much more to offer than just a restaurant and a cinema... it also shows stand-up comedy, has a fully functioning tv studio where they film live shows, a theatre for live music, and art exhibitions. A wonderful space with quality at every turn.

Classical Indian music and dance lessons are available here. At the weekends for about two hours they have a reasonably priced cafe which I am yet to try and an art gallery space upstairs which I believe can be hired. South Asian language classes are also available. A few weeks later they invited me to join them for Indian Independence Day celebrations where the students performed and the Indian High Commissioner to London gave an excellent speech.

We came here a few weeks ago to do a pottery class. It was a little awkward to get to…read morelocation-wise, but once we arrived we were welcomed warmly. The building is kinda gritty in a hipster way, but the facilities and set-up tools for the actual class were great. I found the tone Nam used with us was a teeny bit patronising ("Come on, I'm expecting you to work hard") but his heart was in the right place, and he was entertaining. There were 2 other groups there with us and it seemed everyone had a fun time, even when feeling a lil frustrated with our items not turning out exactly as expected! Was great value and would try other courses that they run :)

This a porcelain art studio that is based in Milan with branches in London and Geneva…read more It is a well known name for those interested in this type of art and drawing (like my mother) who I accompanied this morning to purchase some of the needed items for her art work. We were warmly welcomed and allowed to have a peak at the workshop that was taking place this morning. the main goal was to purchase some colours and other technical materials for the drawings- which unfortunately they do not stock that much of anything- some products were on shelves for sale but completely dried out. I enjoyed looking at art pieces similar to what my mum is filling the house with but in general enjoyed this morning at this little shop.
