They said they service our brand/model and said the visit would cost $149, to be applied to any repair. When the technician diagnosed the unit, he agreed it was the compressor. He gave us an estimate and collected his $149. We thought Appliance King was going to do the repair. But less than 5 minutes after they left, they called and said they do not service our brand/model. It reoccured in Dec and I called them again. After screwing up an appointment, and having customer service be incredibly rude, a different technician came to my home on Dec. 26. He told us we needed a $350 part to fix the problem. He also stated that the original technician was fired because he constantly made mistakes and spent too much time at customers homes. We paid him, the part came in and it was installed on 12/30. We ran the dishwasher successfully 2 times and then the problem reoccurred. That same day, we had a minor issue with our refrigerator. We called Mr Appliance the next day about both issues. On Jan. 3 the same technician came back, easily repaired the refrigerator (which he charges us $228 for) by defrosting and unclogging a line.he then tried the dishwasher. It ran twice, then once again failed and displayed the E17 message. He then told me that the $350 repair was likely incorrect and the cause was electronic. I was told it would cost several hundred $ more to try to fix it. I asked what could be done about the $350 I already paid for a repair that didn't work and was told there was nothing they would do. I have given Mr Appliance $425 and NOT repaired the dishwasher. When I contacted them, they got back to me and said perhaps a $60 part would fix it. They have absolutely no idea how to repair my dishwasher. They refused to reimburse me for any part of the $ I spent due to their incompetence. To replace the valve they cracked the back of our fridge and didn't tell us. They also damaged a shelf that they removed during the repair and didn't tell us. Now the shelf falls down every time we open vegetable drawer. We called the owner to have them fix the issues they caused and he grudgingly came out and complained to me the whole time that there was no need for him to fix the cracks in the back of the fridge and even tried to convince me that the shelf issue, which never happened before, had nothing to do with the repair tech who also cracked the back panel. He expects me to believe that it is a pure coincidence that the issue started immediately after the tech left. What a liar. Not only that, but changing the valve made almost no difference in the water flow, so we changed the filter just to see, even through the light hadn't come on yet, and the flow was back to normal. I don't recommend this company. They don't know what they're doing, they do poor quality work and the owner is dishonest and has a bad attitude.
