Such a fun visit while in Knoxville…read more The staff at the front desk was welcoming and informative. We particularly enjoyed seeing the model rooms and learning about the architecture. I want to go visit those houses now! Free museum. It's not too big but you can spend 1-2 hours here.

This museum is great for Knoxville. It's not very big, but you'll spend 1-2 hours there…read more Story time: It was weird. When we arrived, the lady up front for our check-in asked how we had heard of them. I'm like... "Uh... It's art. We go where art is. We love art." I couldn't think of any other answer that fit the boxes she was checking. I love art, and that's where you can find me. It didn't fit any of her checkboxes, she waited a moment like she was waiting for me to say something else before saying, "Oh, that's a new reason we're going to have to add" or something like that. One of the usher girls understood what I was saying. No shame on the lady... it was just odd. I don't just hear about museums. I see if a city has one and I go. In my world, that's a 100,000 percent normal thing. I still laugh about it. You'll have fun here. If you've visited major art museums in Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Philly, Chicago, NY, or SF, you'll still have fun here, but it won't be the famous paintings you're looking for. If you're in Knoxville and have time to spare, I'd visit, but it's not an absolute must-do thing.

a wonderful & educational experience. the most fun we have ever had spending money!…read more it was our first time making a purchase in liz beth, & we were pleasantly surprised when liz suggested that they, because our vehicle was too small, take a few pieces to our home so that we could get a feel for them in that space. we were not certain what to expect, but we got so much more! liz & bart, her son, came into our home & spent the next 2 hrs or so offering suggestions on art placement, rehanging art & giving us frank opinions. it did not feel like having a salesperson in our home, liz was actually forthright when she felt like something did not fit & bart had some great ideas on the placement of our existing art. their patience was saintly. of the three pieces they brought, we only ended up keeping one, although they allowed us to hold on to the other overnight, to decide. more amazing than the valuable service they provided, was the fact that they didn't charge a dime for the service. about a week later, we had another art dilemma, so of course we headed to liz beth's. liz picked out a piece that i was dubious of. it actually took a while to bring me around. but she taught us that often decor is best viewed through a photograph. after heeding her advice, & the advice of gregg & anne, some furniture was moved & the piece that was suggested was properly placed. the after affect is wonderful, i only regret i did not listen to her sooner! again we had an issue with art placement. we found a piece at liz beth that we loved & brought it home. sadly, although we love the artist, it did not work, so we returned it. but instead of conceding defeat, anne & liz kept providing options until the right piece was found. we are ecstatic with the piece we decided on & more importantly what it has added to our home. our experience with liz beth has been stress & pressure free; more like going to see friends. we have never been encouraged to buy anything. to the contrary, we were often advised to take a piece home, to get a feel for it in the space. at least once, liz has refused to let us pay for something, cautioning us to take more time for consideration. gregg & anne have learned our taste & are always on the lookout for new pieces. thanks to anne, bart, gregg & liz, our home has become a true showplace for some fantastic pieces. if you are in the market for art, or even framing, don't even consider going anywhere else. the true value liz beth provides is an excellent staff with knowledge of art & design & the best customer service we have ever encountered.

As the years passed and our reputation as a provider of fine art, custom framing, pottery and gifts grew, we saw the need for a retail location. In the fall of 1996 we opened our first retail gallery. With more than ten thousand square feet we are able to fulfill the needs of both our corporate and retail clientele.
