I spent a significant amount of money at Breezy Hill last year--well over $1,000. Unfortunately,…read moremore than half of the perennials I purchased have not come up this season. Last year, when a few of the plants showed signs of distress just two weeks after purchase, I brought in photos and spoke with the horticulturist. Her response felt dismissive, as though my concerns weren't taken seriously. I experienced the same treatment again today. I was told, "We don't cover any of our perennials. It was a dry winter," with little acknowledgment of my prior concerns or investment. It's incredibly frustrating to feel dismissed twice, especially after spending so much and trying to be proactive. I used to speak very highly of Breezy Hill, but after these experiences, I can no longer do so in good faith.

Laurie Bujack was fantastic to work with as a planner and designer. Her work ethic is bulletproof,…read morewith the responsiveness to the changes and modifications as the design evolved, especially as the price proposals came in and there was the need to help the phases fit the budget. She was also very responsive to a few glitches that arose in the complex and timely communication, as well as tweaking needed for last minute adjustments. Laurie is a very competent project manager AND designer, for those reasons! She is a consummate professional. The only observation to recommend improvement: that our kind lead installer take moments to teach his crew about guarding the safety and treatment of more fragile perennials and the final placement of shrubs needing to be plumb/vertical...a sharp eye before accepting the final results of his workers.

Every year I look forward working on my yard/garden but this year my usual place wasn't operating…read moreat the same capacity. There are plenty of options around but why not try something new? This is my first visit to Mary's and they've got some great flowers here! Lots of options I haven't seen shopping around the last few years at other places. We got some begonias that are stunning and holding up fantastic so far. We picked up a tropical bush as well, which Mary herself did advise me would likely not survive the winter. She did give me some advice on how to winterize it if I want to try and bring it inside, she seems knowledgeable and it's pretty cool that she offers plants like these. I always grab some veggies and herbs as well and she delivered on that with a few different herbs I'm excited to try. Boxwood basil is new to me but that's exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for. I do wish she had more variety of veggies available, I might have missed the boat on that. I did get a nice heirloom tomato plant, she had these in a back lot. It's a bit hard to get navigate back there and it's not a flat path so be prepared. To sum up, this is a smaller operation than some local competitors but that plant enthusiast charm goes a long way. I'd definitely recommend it for flowers, they've also got lots of cute outdoor decorations. It's a great spot to find something unique too! It COULD use some layout improvements and I found some things unlabeled as I was perusing. I'd say it's definitely worth checking out for either a seasoned gardener or a first timer!

The greenhouse is small , but it is packed with a large selection of plants. The plants were so well maintained and well taken care of , and prices were so reasonable. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. I always prefer to support small business versus the big boxes.
