My fiance and I were looking to take dance lessons for our wedding. I called Arthur Murray and felt right at ease with the instructors and vibe of the studio! This place is the best and they really, truly make you feel right at home! We took lessons with John - who is hands down the best instructor! He makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed while dancing. He breaks down the steps easily and teaches you in the best way for you, as a couple or as an individual. My fiance and I have had some difficulty learning steps and he was able to take away our frustrations, make us relax and learn the steps. This place is fantastic!! My fiance and I got a Groupon for 2 dance lessons and were so hooked that we had to get a package. We're at the end of our package, sadly, but have learned so much. John and Vanessa are FANTASTIC instructors...they instantly make you feel comfortable and at ease and break down the steps so easily. In the beginning, I was SUPER anxious and nervous about performing our First Dance at our wedding, but by the end, I truly can't wait to show everyone our moves. At Arthur Murray Dance Studio the staff are as professional and as competent as one can be. They teach at many different levels & many different types of dance's. My fiancé and I have never been able to dance together coordinately. Within a few lessons we were able to understand not only the coordination of each other but rather the mythology and steps needed to perform our dance to the point of not being a novelty item at a standup comedy club. My fiance and I got ourselves a groupon and decided to come to Arthur Murray to help us look more polished for our first dance at our wedding. The only problem is, we waited until 4 days before the wedding!! Melanie and Christian of Arthur Murray Denville were wonderful. We were expecting it to be mostly a sales pitch, but they were so sensitive to our situation and we spent the entire time learning to dance. Wow what a great place to go dancing! My daughter was getting married and my husband and I were worried about dancing at the wedding. Our son-in-laws family dances and we didn't want to looking like the boring half of the family! Our instructor taught us some basics for fast, medium, and slow speed dances so we could fit in at the wedding. Not only did we dance most of the dances we had the funnest time at the wedding. My fiance and I originally came to Arthur Murray to learn to dance for our wedding, with little hope of actual coordination but a desire to avoid 4 minutes of the "prom sway", however it's become so much more than that. The enthusiasm of the instructors is contagious, and the community of people we've met at group lessons is fantastic. We loooove the Friday night special lessons and dance parties afterwards. Cost aside, all male instructors are very respectful and appropriate with students. However, the heavy-set female instructor in Denville is noticeably inappropriate with male students, so if you're going with a male partner, ask to work with one of the other female instructors. read more

What a great experience we had at this studio! We initially came to learn for our daughters wedding and loved it so much we decided to take it on as a hobby! It was easy to learn and feel progress in a short period time. We have very busy lives, but felt great prioritizing dance into our lives as a date night. This is a great facility, with great teachers. They take their job very seriously, as everything they do is with intention (i.e. etiquette, thank you notes, reminder calls, etc.). And they are full of enthusiasm! My fiance and I took two of their packages to learn a dance for our wedding. We went from easily distracted to dancing in front of a class in two months.
